You forgot "orange". You know how fixated on skin color they are.

Thanks. I appreciate it when someone with a good memory weighs in, because Styx is perceptive, but he's awfully young.

@ColKorn1965 You shouldn't do that to porcupines, my father-in-law used to say, up in the wilds of northern Minnesota. After deer and rabbit become scarce, there will always be porcupine to eat. That is, if you don't waste them by soaking them in turpentine and cramming them up somebody's ass.

@stereomathematics Correct, except the race was against the detestable but lucrative hawk, George Dubya Bush, not detestable but lucrative Obama.

I'm a nurse, and most physicians strike me as being bright enough, but narrowly focused. If they are intellectuals, it's not because of having been to med school. Furthermore, the large clinic & insurance rackets have constrained their practice for reasons of profitability. M.D.s are mostly no longer members of a true profession, but more like technicians yoked into corporations.

@Dokurider It was actually shouted over a lot of crowd noise, which directional mics eliminated. But whoever wanted him to go down hardest, spun the crap out of the clip, claiming that Dean had lost his moorings to sanity.

Dean ran in 2004, and caught fire early because he was the first dissenting voice on Iraq following the W Bush asskissathon after 9/11. I think John Edwards declared candidacy first, but people rightly had dismissed him as an empty suit. The Dean Scream was delivered as the crowd roared, but directional mics made it seem as if he were like HRC, bellowing "Why aren't I 50 points ahead?" on a Skype conference call. Dean has really turned out to be a tool, and his campaign got torpedoed by hostile media spin, but I appreciated him back in 2003, when he dared raise his voice against stupid wars.
