  2. Yes. This was the almost-immediate DUH! that tuned me out. I'm sure that alien protein could make us sick, or ours them, (if they even have protein at all), but would our pathogens, like, give them cholera, too? Do they even have a gut? Is their solvent even water? I'm thinking he can't imagine a physiology based on anything but CHON, remember that he believes in magic, and have to discount it all as unimaginative blather.
