  2. An aside: I'd rather not allow people under 35 be president. They have an important perspective, but they're usually just green fruit. Oldsters may have incipient cognitive impairment, but they've got a wealth of crystallized intelligence. If they need the youth perspective, they know what to do.

  3. IQ is all well and good, but the proof is in the pudding. Styx usually has impressive judgment and synthesis on political topics. So much so that he impresses my husband, who is 62 and a retired rocket propulsion test engineer with a flair for systems thinking. Not a dotard. His major complaint about Styx is that he can't find him in podcast or print. We old farts tend to hate video format, especially when it adds nothing of value. Video is so much slower than reading. So is listening to a podcast, but at least it doesn't go through as much data allotment when one is on the road.

  4. Too bad we've reached the stage where it takes Donnie from Queens railing at friendly straw man to get anyone's attention. I say this as a Trump supporter, mind you. I guess this is what happens when reality TV is king. I feel as though Hillary was stuck in the 1990s with her Very Serious Person façade. Makes me wish that television optics hadn't determined our politics for almost 60 years. Sick of straw men, outrage, and all else that is manufactured.
