  4. Yes, with the fact of her sex being an afterthought, which, I think, most people are ready to do. In either of Hillary's attempts, the only people making a big deal of her sex seemed to be the much older women with vivid memories of the 1960s, 50s and 40s. The other thing--shortcuts--is important, too. No husband coattails. No dynasties. Nobody ever truly took Lurleen Wallace seriously, nor any woman ever pushed forward to fill her husband's or father's office.

  5. Even if they tried to give her an uncomfortable question, the old girl has rehearsed. You would see her click through answer templates in her head, then give the optimal one, studded with lots of "you knows", which is sort of her tell. What you wouldn't see is her ripping an aide a new cloaca, afterward, for getting her such a horrible, unfair interviewer.

  8. If she really has Parkinson's, MS or some other neurological disorder, she may well have burst of anger and other situationally inappropriate emotions, as she often displays. Not unlike a brain tumor's effect on behavior. If you've read Amy Chozick's campaign memoir, you know that she really does like a cocktail or three. Plus all that Chardonnay she cops to on the interview circuit. At age 70, you really don't have to be an out and out drunk for daily alcohol consumption to affect your executive function. At seventy, in fact, you can be on a couple of medications and get a cold or a bladder infection and be tipped over into delirium very easily. And Hillary is on daily warfarin to thin her blood, not to mention the thrombophilia that necessitated the anticoagulant in the first place. Both bleeding and clotting too easily puts her at greater risk of multi-infarct and hemorrhagic types of cognitive impairment. Brain tumor or no brain tumor, her health status is "money pit with a limited functional horizon," just about any way you look at it.

It has a small population of people who have farmed sheep and potatoes for generations--I guess conversations with them are quickly exhausted. Imagine the listening tours Hillary could go on, there. And crowd sizes for her campaign speeches would be what she was used to, too.

  11. Bad Cattitude: As God is my witness, when I used to hang out on Daily Kos, I encountered a physician who had given Hillary pelvic exams, back in the Arkansas days. He didn't say anything about cobwebs. Then again, he did not elaborate at all. He's dead, now.
