  3.  @Despiser25  It was definitely more interesting, then. I first started learning programming in 1980, and felt like on-line people were more tech-savvy. And I don't just mean savvy in using tech but creating it. (I do remember everyone's disdain for the flood of AOL users, too). I miss the transparent, logical way computers worked. I miss URLs that you could easily remember and type. I really miss original, human-generated content. I miss small file sizes.

  6. Reminds me of what New Zealand's Jacinto Ardennes said about only trusting information that came from the government. That was just about the dumbest thing I'd heard a politician say since that congressman was worrying about Guam capsizing.
