@ZanePrice-hd5gj much better, thanks! After some months, the eyes can sometimes revert to normal. I don't have to tape my eyes shut at night anymore, and they no longer hurt. But they'll always look large and somewhat strange. My avatar is in fact a picture of me about six years after my eyes "calmed down" a bit.

I rarely hold grudges, but my 3 months of work experience with a probable OCPD sufferer still angers me 6 years later. What an insufferable micromanager! I was supposed to take over her job, in which I had more experience than she, but she would not let me deviate in the least from her hidebound rules. It was the only time I quit with no notice. She made me that mad.

To the garbanzo beans--for all you do, this Bud's for YOU!

Way to hijack a topic. American women have all kinds of options, including access to abortion. This girl's ignorance and self-centeredness is the real topic.
4
How did he get the idea that he was exceptionally attractive? He looked strangely like an overgrown baby, which, in fact, he was.
4
I have a lot of family members down there who customarily attended that parade. I hope DB rots in jail for the next 60 years.
4
Thank you. The comments here that dehumanize Trump and his supporters are nauseating.

Some people just can't take a hint, can they?

I'm surprised that seemingly normal people are so enthusiastic about pornography. I'm not religious, and I do remember a time when porn occupied a more marginal spot in society. And the margins is exactly where it belongs.
3
@Bluebird19-ll8su True. You make a good point; light eyes are so much less common, and therefore remarkable. I have blue-green eyes, myself. I was just giving in to cynicism.
3
@Throatzillaaa Didn't she stab Selena? Selena was a wonderful musician.
3
Jackie Kennedy always seemed so . . . medicated.
3
Maybe Grande should analyze your anti-Trump pathology.
3
I am so sorry you lost your dad. I used to work in acute-care behavioral health, and there was a strong push to give antipsychotics, wait a few days for the patient to "clear," then usher him out the door. I believe, at heart, that we do not know what we are doing with very mentally ill people, and that profits dictate the chemical/medical model that we use. It is sad, all around.
3
A decent person would never arrive at the diaper decision point.
3
Seems as though yoga would be less complicated.
3
Just saw a squib in the local paper with the headline, "UW-La Cross Chancellor Terminated," and figured it had to be something egregious. La Cross is such a crazy college party town. Maybe this chancellor showed 'em all the way.
3
Blah, blah, blah. I notice how easily the Australian government pushes around its citizens. You guys built quarantine camps and arrested people for wrongspeak on social media. Americans will never roll over for tyranny like that.
3
Trump's patter is repetitive, like Harris', but he makes a lot more sense to me. He usually has a clear point, which he repeats about three times in various ways before moving to the next point. Unfortunately, Kamala speaks in generalities, and her inappropriate laughter is off-putting. As if an unseen person is making balloon animals for her, or something. It's bizarre.
3
So, no great loss of nice people, here.
3
Godejohn is one of society's wild animals. Just be glad that he was not sentenced to death.
3
@glen7318 I don't understand why women take somebody else's infidelity so seriously.
3
@lovemusic1963ify And also to Wisconsin. My Cuban-American professors tried to help process them, and one professor said, "No son cubanos, son bestias."
3
For diapers, maybe. Or Hot Pockets.
3
Stay away from strippers and other obvious opportunists for Pete's sake!
3
Yes. I could not stop wondering about those poor children.
3
@mikebott6940 Part of cluster B, for sure (I used to work in acute-care psych and saw a lot of grandiosity), but I think that the need for attention is also a social phenomenon and by-blow of the rise of social media; instilling fear gets the fastest attention.

My mom was Czech and grew up picking "hobi." We never suffered . . . Although she generally limited herself to gathering cinnamon tops and cauliflower mushrooms.
3
Perhaps she'd used the dehydrator during the season in order to have a supply later. "Ope!" she told herself, "That dehydrator must go!"
3
If I wanted to watch two oldsters get it on, I'd . . . ugh. I can't even finish the thought.
3
Just consulted a hand surgeon this morning. He seems both legit and pretty efficient.
3
She seems to be a shooty person.
3
@dawngrrrl How about "kinkshaming" people who talk about their kinks in public fora when in reality no one wants to hear about it?
3
He does tend to talk about concrete things, though. His style is repetitive, arch, and frequently grating, but I get what he's saying.

February is also Thyroid Awareness Month. And the first Graves' patient I ever met was a 96 y.o. woman who was born on Leap Day. She told me she was just 24.

At a rummage sale?
2
The comments here that dehumanize Trump and his supporters are sickening.
2
@howdareyouexist That's true, as well, nowadays.
2
My rule 9f thumb is that anybody doing selfies and videos in her car for social media purposes is an attention seeker, and maybe even a bit of a head case.
2
So that's what happened to Bambi. Had no idea that she had died. As a native Milwaukean, I have no doubt that the police investigation was a total hairball. Can we cede Milwaukee to Illinois, or something? It now drags Wisconsin down with it.
2
He may have been psychotic, but he was likely not wrong about the crap pulled by Democrats at the leadership level. One man's "myth" is another man's nightmare regime.
2
@lorizeppelina2286 As a human being, he should never have accepted the nomination for president. He is currently holding his party hostage in his refusal to retire, lol.
2
@Mandrake591 I read a lot, and in several different languages. You seem to be outing yourself as gullible.
2
@greenbrain8725 Your comment is very self-serving, since you know nothing about me, including education and occupation.
2
Graves' ophthalmopathy, a form of Thyroid Eye Disease. Happened to me, though not as markedly. My right eye was affected worse, and I still have double vision when I look up or to the side. The fat and muscles inside the eye socket get attacked by antibodies and swell, pushing the globes forward. It can cause blindness in a couple different ways.
2
Madison can contribute to society by being made an example and a warning to her fellow nitwits.
2
OCPD patients are some of the most unreachable people, or so I found in my year of being a psych nurse.
2
Non-minorities in Milwaukee thought little of the police force, either.
2
In her case, immersion in those values may have enabled her vile acts. Progressivism in its current form arrogates the right to impose your own "greatness" upon lesser creatures—you know, like conservatives and Derrick.
2
Do you think she would have been a better person if she had opted for a more traditional role in life? Not wanting to argue, just curious about your opinion. To me, it's not her authority that was as awful as her misplaced feelings after a relatively purpose-free life.
