@shastamccoy7777 Plus this one went way beyond "liberal" and plunged into "crazy" all for the sake of her professed values.

"Hendiadys" would explain Giselle's redundant language. It's a rhetorical device. Giselle may be a darkly tragic figure, but giver her a little credit for rhetorical flair! 😉 😜

@traversetownie I've never used an IUD, but my uterus was divided into 2 chambers (common birth defect) and an IUD might have killed me by perforating the uterine wall.
1
Excuse me--"autoimmune disease" was what I meant to type. I also have Graves', but it is in remission. I'm careful about what I put into my body because I don't want a third round of Graves'. Anything that challenges the immune system can cause a flare. In my case, having a baby, an MMR vaccine, and an influenza vaccine probably triggered mine. There used to be a compound in some traditional vaccines that would cause autoimmune disorders to flare.

I need a civil engineer to make me look good! P.s. Stadol is crap. Utter crap. I learned that while suffering from premature labor.

Peasant.

@neilreynolds3858 Aneurysms and bilateral brain surgeries changed Biden early on, fellow legislators have said.

Just Stubblefield's list of causes and use of buzzwords pins her down as a leftist. Her need to be an in-your-face activist also points that way. Did Grande even mention her political affiliation? Frankly, people who speak and believe as Stubblefield does tend to cause problems because, for them, the personal is political and vice versa. To be a progressive is to be dedicated to shaking things up. Why not be irritated with Stubblefield for not only fitting the stereotype, but embellishing it?
1
If only she'd been carrying an equalizer on her hike . . .
1
It's pretty obvious from her list of buzzwords and causes that she was on the leftist/habitual activist side. That side of the political spectrum seems more neurotic in general than its opposite side.
1
@roginutah That must be the American version. Has a better ring than `storm in a teacup.'
1
Or maybe you are.
1
Good Lord! If my kid had had to have a mandatory psych evaluation just to go to a public school, I'd nope out of it and send him to private school or teach him myself. Your idea pathologizes normal maturation and social interaction. Have you seen how whimsical the DSM-V is? Maybe schools are too big and just operated poorly.
1
Hard to avoid politics, there.
1
We all have some degree of narcissism in us. Trump appears to have a great deal of it . . . But that does not automatically add up to NPD. It's important to know the difference. Reports of the private Trump paint a picture of a very appropriate demeanor and plenty of interpersonal warmth. Frankly, I have always thought that he was a huge narcissist, but an adaptive one with a quirky public persona that he's developed since the 1990s. Just look at old footage of Trump from the early 1990s when testifying before a congressional committee. He's no showman in that footage, just a very articulate, sharp businessman offering his perspective on tax policy changes that happened in 1986 that basically kneecapped profits in the real estate field. At some point after that, he took on a sort of funny WWF braggadocio that he retained--at least while giving speeches.

God, I remember the wall-to-wall OJ case coverage. I avoided watching a single thing about it, and still absorbed the story osmotically. He was a terrible actor, yes.
1
@janinemccartha1811 I like the concision. If this were on cable, the denouement would have been interminable.
1
I prefer a president who can draw a clock.
1
Her feeling of being a rescuer of marginalized people was basically her rationale for her crimes.
1
@Lionforaday Thank you. Geriatric RN with acute-care behavioral health experience, here. I really appreciate your clarifications. One thing any observant layman or medical professional can see, here, is that something is not right with Lunchpail Joe. He has somehow deteriorated since his heyday, even though he seems more capable than his partisan detractors make him out to be. I wanted to add a bit of apocrypha from his campaign. When the DNC put him in the fast track in the South Carolina primaries, his family is reported to have panicked, knowing that Joe had lost his fastball--whether through grief, depression, or old age is not clear. Too bad they did not do the right thing and give him permission to drop out, which he might have felt like doing.
1
While I agree with you, I don't think dragging federal politics into this discussion is helpful or appropriate.
1
He did not look normal, he looked really dissipated.
1
I think being so dreaded gets to some of the dentists. I had one who left his wife and 9 kids for an assistant. Another committed suicide one Christmas Eve. A third is meaner than snot to his assistants.
1
He moves like a sloth, sometimes.
1
Eh, Caroline.
1
But he was dumb enough to kill someone . . . He killed a woman.
1
Do you have a medical alert bracelet? Legit first responders are pretty good at sorting out drunkenness from insulin shock.
1
I'm fed up with that anti-sandwich nonsense!
1
How is he still alive 32 years after being sentenced to death? I am not fond of the death penalty at all, but either have it, or don't have it. Better to spare a guilty man than execute an innocent one. Mensa, I think, is the least exclusive IQ club, since 132 is the minimum score. That means you might only be the second-smartest shopper in a Wal*Mart at any given time. <sniff>
1
Graves' disease. She has a really severe case. This happened to me, too, to a moderate degree. It has made me self-conscious of having an angry-looking glare.
1
I keep hearing that Jill is the one responsible for Biden's continued candidacy. But is there a clear source for this rumor?
1
She has a numb, slack look of stupidity on her face in all those photos.
1
My husband once constructed a rocket igniter from Pep Boys parts for NASA, but no lives rode on that, because it was just a test. Even so, I can not feel bad for these people, except maybe for the 19 y.o.
1
@detectivefiction3701 And so what if he is a Trump supporter? They are decent people, just as you regard yourself to be. And besides, no matter how he votes, his discernible bias is negligible. I could go on, but gee whiz, sports fan, start using your head in a less reflexively partisan way.
1
@samuelmack-poole6789 "I love you, and I want to die in your arms."
1
Too simple an explanation.
1
@magiemaggot Oh, stick your Trump derangement! Get some help with your scapegoating problem.
1
@franciastone5048 The neurologist said that. I think he was rounding up by a bit. Without getting into politics, I think that all presidents are afflicted with massive egos, and that does not necessarily spell "mentally ill." By CMS standards, mental illness excludes depression and personality disorders. Joe Biden has some kind of disinhibition problem, and the signs are evident, if not the cause.
1
I don't know if I'm way off-base, or what, but I think that Flanagan guy was a real jerk!
1
You seem slow.
1
@cattycorner8 Davidson also got a hideous Hillary Clinton tattoo on his arm following her loss in 2016.
1
@TheOnlyKateslate Hunter Biden might have TBI, but that does not exempt him from judgment. His whole family is rotten to the core; I judge them collectively.
1
Give the guy a Gatorade.
1
You just had to bring President Trump into this. You are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of being a tool.
1
Dr. Grande, have you explored the dysfunction, depression, and addictions set off by the COVID lockdowns? I have heard so much hearsay about the woe unleashed by these authoritarian measures.
1
Why use a euphemism when "female" would do? Only intact females are capable of getting pregnant. Theoretically, you could transfer a zygote into the peritoneal cavity of a male and it would grow, but the outcome of a live caesarian birth is unlikely. I can't agree with your linguistic police work, there.

Word Salad Surgery

Graves' disease is a form of autoimmune hyperthyroidism. Thyroid problems have an effect on all bodily systems. She has a pretty severe case if it.
1
I don't think I've ever seen Perry in anything except "A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon," but his story is affecting, and this video explains quite well why his life and death is worth caring about. I saw publicity surrounding his memour, as well as how drink-ravaged he looked, and had a bad feeling about his prospects. Now this.
1
Me too, and I have Graves' ophthalmopathy, myself.
