It's very common for recent immigrants to still love their homeland and hope to return, someday, in a better position to help the old country. That said, what kind of ass-backward plan is it to get elected to a lowly congressional seat, then blow all your political capital on just griping about foreign affairs, expecting everyone else to kiss your ass? FAIL

Me, too. And I'm a nurse. During COVID, I had no time to dance. Never did. Still don't. Oh, and the vast majority of COVID patients, even elderly, are alive and well.

"FASHION BUG! FASHION BUG! I'D LIKE TO FIND THE GUY THAT THOUGHT THAT UP AND SHOVE A BROOM UP HIS ASS!"
2
@johnski4709 Stretch Armstrong, too.

My husband's first wife had one, and he still weeps over that child, 46 years later. Don't know how she feels, but she was 18 and frightened. I lost a son to premature labor, and needed to have my waters broken to complete the procedure, since he was beyond saving. I only hope, 23 years later, that he was dead before they ruptured the amniotic membrane, because it was so horrifying, at the time. They had to hold me down like livestock to get it done. He was so very wanted.

It did just fine as long as assimilation happened and people didn't contort the Constitution like a sheet of rubber.

Time to lick my fingers and touch all my lefse and herring!

Olbermann has always been self-important. Kicks down at work, gets fired a lot, only responds to attention and praise, has little audience awareness, as evidenced by his self-indulgence in eulogizing his dead father day after day and going on at length about another notorious bore, James Thurber. As if nobody ever lost a father before. Or read James Thurber in high school. That was before MSNBC kicked him to the curb, replacing him with the less flagrantly crazy Maddow.
2
Too bad his good work was undone.
2
@ryanduray1 Did you see the top-20 list of crime-ridden cities? Milwaukee (my home town) is far, far worse. Minneapolis is just getting its jump-start, now.
2
@jamesclarkmaxwell-v2n Feeling a bit more hopeful, thanks.

The place known as "Little Mogadishu" near where I live should serve as a proper warning. At least it would in a non- clown world.
2
@JP-ww5vz A neighboring small town became 17% Somali overnight. Was there just this morning and exchanged a pleasant greeting with a Somali gent smoking a cigarette on the street. Things are just fine in this little town and have been for 20 years, but things are not fine across the state line in Minnesota. The young Somalis there are running in gangs. In any case, I'm an American girl, never without a .38 in my purse. To heck with pepper spray. :-)

It's "buck naked," folks. Buck naked. Buck. Naked.

The woman posting about how heinous rich white boy smirks are looks as if she was probably lusting above her pay grade as a teenaged girl. Potato-faced young thing, projecting her Roberta Flack song traumas onto these young strangers. Ick.
2
Protest is their religion. Any protest, any time. "Hey, hey! Ho, ho!"
2
Hmmm. I was born in a city run by socialists until the late 1950s--Milwaukee--and it was a pretty decent place for a long time. It's a real shithole now, however. I doubt socialism had much to do with its former success . . . it was just full of order-loving descendants of German immigrants, and had a booming manufacturing and port economy. That all changed.
2
Thank heavens you didn't call him a breakfast taco, or anything like that.

Ilhan Omar seems nothing like the wonderful Somali ladies I used to work with and occasionally help practice for their citizenship exams. Omar seems so aggrieved and hostile in comparison. It is fine to say and believe whatever one wishes, but it seems arrogant and just plain strange for a freshman U.S. Representative to be so vocal and outspoken on national media about such a narrow range of concerns, one of which, anti-Israeli measures, seems more like a personal prejudice and axe to grind. Is she thinking of the Minneapolitans who sent her to Congress at all ?

Myocarditis probably would make him more vulnerable to all kinds of accidental cardiac embarrassments--even mild myocarditis.
2
I'd remove relics, too, if a slew of churches had just been burned and vandalized.
2
Strap on and strap in. Why oh why did I click on this video?
2
No kidding. Anyone with enough time to polish her appearance, accessories (kids) and social media presence like that probably isn't quite right in the head. Want to bet her poor husband is due for a divorce rape, soon?
2
The nice thing about living in a northern tier state is that, for 6 months out of the year, Boom Boom will freeze his ass off if he tries to camp out under the bridge. Warm weather attracts some really useless people.
2
It's okay--the genes have all been used, before.

The sunscreen companies had better do something about making that fucker grow bigger again, or their profits may stagnate.
1
Yeah, you're supposed to aspirate and reposition if you get a blood return, which almost nobody does, because hitting a vessel is pretty uncommon. I once got a flu shot as I was taking report on the phone and whoever gave me the shot did hit a big vessel. Bled a puddle on the desktop in just a few seconds.
1
Well hell. Why euphemize, when you can just call it Svartland?
1
@shawnjoss3744 Are you kidding? 1980s was late in the game for a paranoia infiltration flick.
1
And what psycho would ever move to another state because it offered easier abortions?
1
Well, ABBA was really just a late cry for help.
1
"THAT'S NOT MICKEY MOUSE! THAT'S TIT DIRT!"
1
Probably still pretty good, sadly. The people who put her there are entitled, rich, white Lords & Ladies Bountiful who do stuff like this in order to be able to tell each other that they are indeed Good People.
1
How long would she last in the real world with a shitty demand like that? "Multicultural" isn't supposed to exclude certain groups.
1
Hello from the future in the year 2020! The hysterical leftist dumbness just hockey-sticked with the Wuhan virus.
1
People have died.
1
I have often wondered about that.
1
@AKITM Sounds like Milwaukee.
1
Really? Maybe it's more of his leaker bait, like nuking the hurricane?
1
She even required him to pronounce the word the woke way: "im-POR-'ant". Ugh. I hope he gets a decent severance package when she tosses him back. What a total hostage video--without the Morse code T-O-R-T-U-R-E.
1
The ones with any life left in them set out for Vesterheim a century or more ago.
1
Rest up. You'll probably get through it as easily as you've gone through any influenza or cold.
1
Take it back, keeping just a tang of the Moor as a souvenir, like the Spanish.
1
I know! Seeing that conga line with phones in everyone's hand corked me off! I have been confiscating those fucking smart phones and locking them in the med room for 10 years, now. There is enough work to do on any unit on a slow day--Jesus Christ!
1
Hmmm. I used to be a psych nurse, and the paranoid one all suspected surveillance and sabotage through technology: air ducts, electric, gas and phone lines, water supply, and so forth. The grandiose ones all had ideas that TV, radio and print were speaking expressly to them, and the dreamers usually could draw me a schematic for their perpetual motion machine or lossless generators.
1
Updated and shared--to silly-ass Facebook.
1
Yeah. I keep forgetting, then someone like PJW reminds me.
1
Barter, too.
1
I live just above the 45th parallel, and even panhandlers are rare. Texas is a comparative shithole next to states with really cold winters.
