  27. But the mindset was there long ago, in Sweden. I married a man whose parents had immigrated from Sweden as kids a century ago. Some of their family stayed behind. But when the Swedish relatives visited over here, the Swedish-American side of the family were shocked at what brats the Swedes were raising, thanks to their super-woke and intrusive laws about childrearing, and such. In other words, the impending disaster was evident 50 years ago, to some of us.

  29. No, it was true. Their heirs just left their microeconomies behind when the New World opened up. Here in America's upper Midwest, I and most of the people I know are descended from the ones who left Scandinavia. The town I went to college in is the biggest settlement of Norwegians outside of Norway, and they came here looking for bigger, better opportunity than was left in the old country. (They sure as hell didn't come over here for the welfare!)

It's one thing to be open-minded about any person's character, but quite another to assign good/bad characteristics based solely on melanism. I know so many progressives who operate that way, making a fetish of skin color, then doling out social justice points based on color alone. So retarded.

  31.  Comrade von Herpenderpf  There are looong memories! My grandfather was born in the U.S. but grew up speaking nothing but Norwegian to his immigrant folks. When he died in 1998, he was still angry at the Swedes. At first I thought it was about their neutrality while Norway was occupied by the Nazis, but it soon was clear that he was steamed over some border war with Sweden that happened 100 years before he was born! Sheesh!
