@Alecup06 Gulf War was caused when America betrayed Iraq - after Islamic revolution happened in Iran in 1979, Iraq invaded Iran, because Saddam Hussein was afraid that simillar revolution might happen in Iraq (Iraq was also a state where shia majority of muslims was ruled by sunni minority) and America and Arabs gave weapons and money to Saddam Hussein in his war of agression against Iran. Iran defended itself and won this war on pre-war border after 10 years of fighting, while Saddam Hussein thought of himself as "defender of humanity against Islamic revolution of Iran", and then America just demanded money for weapons back. Iraq felt betrayed, and this is why Iraq invaded Kuwait, because half of its debt was registered on Kuwait, Iraq will capture additional oil and price growth will give Iraq an opportunity to pay off the debt. But for America it was a red line - America saw Iraq is a military counter-balance against Iran, as its war dog, and this war dog went out of control. So America and West intervened and bombed hell out of Iraq, but then America realised one mistake - in the 80s, America and West built nuclear enrichment facilities in Iraq, after Iran declared that it need nuclear weapons to defend itself after Iraqi's invasion began. And also West gave chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein (France and Germany gave Iraq chemical WMDs), and instead of invading Iraq America made a deal, that on all Iraqi's strategic facilities there will be CCTV cameras and Americans will observe the situation. And in 1997 America lost connection with these CCTVs, so since 1998 Graham and Biden started hawking for a war and 9/11 attack gave an opportunity which Bush used to boost his ratings and win the second term. Iraq was occupied and puppet government was set. But population was radicalized and resisted, while Iraqi soldiers in prisons formed an ISIS, and American president freed them from prisons, and ISIS got those same weapons that West and Arabs were giving to Iraq in the 1980s as military aid against Iran. So basically America founded ISIS.

@majkib it's wrong analogy based on misunderstanding. It's not about language, it's about policy of balancing. This war started only after American backed coup in Kiev. Before this Russia recognized Crimea as Ukrainian and there was a peace. But in 2014 US backed coup and change of power in Ukraine. So Russia, as one of the Global powers, as an ANSWER to America, to secure the balance of power began to do the same. America backed coup in Kiev, and only AFTER that, Russia as an ANSWER backed coup in the Donbass, so Donetsk and Luhansk declared independence from Ukraine, and new Ukrainian government, who came to power as a result of illegal coup, hypocritically blamed Donbass rebels in organizing illegal coup and Ukraine moved its army to the Donbass, starting this war against Russian people, and Russia had no other choise but to intervene and support its people in their struggling for independence and self determination.
It was not Russia who started this originally, but Ukraine and West, Russia just balanced and did as an answer what West and Ukraine were doing by themselves.

80% of muslim Iranian population supported this revolution, and under American puppet government this king spent 50% of state budget into palaces and parties, while selling oil to American masters for low price and population lived in poverty. After revolution, which was supported by absolute majority of Iran's population, Iran seized control over its oil and become independent, after which American backed Iraq invaded and there was a 10 years long bloody war, where America, Arabs, China and everyone else supplied weapons to Saddam Hussein's Iraq. But later Americans betrayed and put the knife in the back of Saddam Hussein. After bloody war and struggle of independence, followed by injustical American economic blockade to which America forced the entire World to follow, Iran built a pretty normal economy, higher than global average GDP per capitta, it produces its own Pepsi, and Iran's economy is pretty large. And as huge economy Iran must have its economic sphere of influence, but in the Middle East there are competition, mainly for the oil. So while Israel is acting like terrorists and striking everyone, Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are supporting and arming numerous proxy armies. But American propaganda blames only Iran for this, while in reality the main sponsor of radical islamic terrorism is Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Saudi Arabia, the American ally, supplied weapons and armed Al Quaeda and Taliban. But American media is silent about it because Saudi Arabia is US ally. Iran, to defend itself and secure its independence, needs nuclear weapons, and of course all other great powers are afraid of it, even Russia proposed USA a mediation in negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear disarmament.

@bluefmi Russia didn't invaded Poland, first of all it was USSR, NOT Russia, USSR had ideology and national identity of mixing all peoples inside it into new Soviet identity, it wasn't Russia, this state was ruled by Georgian (Stalin) and Jewish (Lenin, Trotsky, Kamenev, Zinoviev) nationals. Secondly, in 1919 Poland invaded Russia, Baltics, Ukraine and Belarus during the Russian civil war, and in 1939 USSR just liberated Ukrainian and Belorussian lands from very cruel Polish occupation and opression. Why USSR made deal with Germany? Because Allies offered USSR a worser deal during summer 1939 negotiations. Allies wanted USSR to help Poland in case of hypotetical war, it was discussed in june 1939 in Moscow negotiations between USSR, France and Britain. But Poland rejected help from USSR, while Germany was a hostile ideologically towards USSR, so in case of Germany invading Poland, the Germany will occupy Poland and there will be a land border between two hostile nations (Poland was a land barrier between them). So, Soviets had NO CHOICE but to invade Poland and take their half, because if Soviets didn't invaded Poland, then ALL of Poland would have been under German occupation and Soviet-German border will be closer to Moscow, while in case of Soviets taking half, the border will be initially closer to Berlin and more far away from Moscow. If Soviets didn't took their half, then Germany could have taken ALL of Poland, so Soviets had NO CHOIC3 but to make a land barrier against German expansion, after Poland refused help, and Soviets never took Polish land, but only liberated what Poland have conquered in 1919.

@MrDarkenral you Crimean Tatars were protesting for independence of Crimea from Ukraine as well, so you are out of equation in discussion who is right to own Crimea - Russia or Ukraine, because Crimean Tatars are against BOTH Russia and Ukraine and even under Ukraine there were massive protests for independence. But Crimean Tatars are 20% of Crimean population and Russians are 60%, so you not to decide the fate of this land. Crimea originally belonged to Russia, but in 1954 Soviet government transfered Russian land with Russian population to Ukraine without asking the people. According to the law Crimea was an autonomous region inside Ukraine and in case of leaving USSR must had held a vote for self determination inside Crimea, but Ukraine violated the law and this didn't happened, and in 1994 Crimean parliament attempted to hold the vote by itself, but Ukrainian police supressed everything and parliament was dissovolved. Despite all of this Russia recognized Crimea as Ukrainian, there was peace, untill American backed coup happened in Kiev in 2014. I repeat - Russia would have NEVER invaded Ukraine if there was no American backed coup in Kiev. Before 2014 Russia recognized Crimea as Ukrainian and Russia was only building peacefull economic ties with Ukraine. And Donald Trump's leak of USAID documents have proved, that USA are backing with money mass media and politicial parties all across the World to act in American interets. And information that was considered "Russian propaganda" about 5 billion dollars USA have spent on coup in Ukraine was proven. Everything Russia did is just played reverse UNO card and returned Crimea back to its original holder inside USSR, before it was given to Ukraine in 1954.
And also - Ukraine was weak in 2014, so if we wanted to conquer all of Ukraine back then, we had big opportunity to do it in few weeks with low casualities, capturing Kiev in 3 days for real, not like this failure in 2022. But instead of capturing Ukraine, insteaf of this Putin was playing diplomacy games. Read the text of Minsk peace agreements that Russia proposed to Ukraine in october 2014 - Putin wanted to trade back Donbass to Ukraine in exchange of political power. Russia proposed peace agreement to Ukraine, according to which Russia was trying to give Donetsk and Luhansk BACK into Ukraine in exchange of their autonomous status inside Ukraine with own parliaments. So, you are wrong - in 2014 Russia DIDN'T wanted to capture all of Ukraine, only some parts, to then trade it back and return to Ukraine in exchange of influence, and Ukrainian president Poroshenko was ready to make deal with Putin, he agreed with Putin on this deal, but Ukrainian parliament denied this, and also pro-Russian rebels didn't wanted to make peace with Ukraine so deal failed, and conflict was just frozen among the frontline. And it was just a matter of time untill Ukraine could have returned to take back Donetsk and Luhansk, while Zelensky signed a deal with UK about UK naval base in Odessa and started to supress all pro-Russian media and parties. This is why and how war of 2022 started.

@marty-h8r this is exactly what will happen because this is driven by market laws of demand and supply. As a Russian I can say that modern America looks like late Soviet Union - a strong technologically advanced economy, but in HUGE DEBT, living in debt for decades, but once you will need to pay anyways. This is how all powerfull Empires fell - Roman Empire spent all its money and whealth on conquests and holding of territory, living in debt for hundreeds of years, British Empire spent 20% of its GDP on navy during and after WW2, and modern UK looks like a joke that will never recovered from collapse of its Empire. Soviet Union with its isolated socialist economy was artificially lowering prices so people will be more happy, and Soviet government got itself into a political trap - economy and production was unprofitable because of very low prices that government ordered, and government was unable to rise prices because of the fear of the people protesting, and also Arms Race and Space Race played a role, but the main reason of Soviet collapse was price policy and artificial lowering of prices.
The last Soviet leader who tried to solve this problem was Nikita Khrushew, in 1958 he rised prices inside USSR for 2 times, which ended in massive unrest, protests and workers refusing to work on factories, this ended with tragedy, when Soviet army came to supress the protests and in the city of Novocherkask one Soviet soldier fired a warning shot to the air, but there were trees, and there were children playing on the trees, so this soldier killed a kid accidentally, this ended with massacre in Novocherkask in which around 200 people died, including mayor of the city, soldiers and officials, and combined with Cuban Missile Crisis this lead to Nikita Khrushew losing power, communist party impeached him, and not a singe Soviet leader after him ever tried to rise prices again, so Soviet economy remained unprofitable and living in debt, and combined with Raegan's Arms Race and Space Race, combined with post-Stalin changes in USSR - under Stalin, government officials were shot for corruption or not completing objectives, so after Stalin's death communist party did everything to protect itself from responsibility. Under Stalin government had a high responsibility to him personally, after Stalin there was NO responsibility and party degraded, simply ignored clever economists who since 70s were talking about liberalization of economy, there was a Soviet economist Kosygin, he had a chance to became a leader of our country instead of Brejnev in 1964, and he wanted to legalize private property, small businesses and private farmlands in USSR to rise competition and regulate prices by market, by demand and supply laws. But irresponsible one party dictatorship ignored clever people like him, and in 1964 Brejnev came to power instead of Kosygin, party decided to sell oil and gas to Europe instead of reforming economy into social-capitalism. Then, in the 80s, oil and gas prices fell. Also, this system significantly degraded because of no political competition, something simillar we can see in modern America, where 40 years ago politicians were intelligent during debates, and now in 2024 Biden and Trump were using cursive words against each other on presidential debate, Trump recently said that "World leaders are kissing my %ss", and Biden was calling Putin "st%pid son of a b%tch", or like Trump and Vance mocked Zelensky. Zero diplomacy and speech culture, your leaders talk like drunken farmers in southern Russia. The same degradation happened with USSR, but in case of knowledge and competence. When situation became too much critical after oil and gas prices collapse, Soviet Union was living in debt for decades already with unprofitable economy, Gorbachev came to power in 1985 and he tried to buy technologies and factories from America. To achieve this, USSR needed good relationship with USA, so USSR ended the Arms race with USA by ending a Cold War and basically losing it and capitulating, to then buy tech and factories from America. But it were 1980s, not 1930s, so technological investments needed 20 years to become profitable, and it was a failure - USSR only increased its debt, also Gorbachev was so incompetent that he tried to liberalize economy without making a market regulation of prices. Gorbachev gave all factories and production in collective share ownership of workers and bosses, but government still controlled prices and arrificially lowered them, so as a result Gorbachev built a very strange and not working mix of government regulated capitalism, where all government factories became private factories but government still controlled the prices, and owners of these private factories simply refused to sell goods for such low prices, utilizing them instead. This resulted in nearly hunger situation when there was no food and no goods on shelves, people became completely angry and corrupted elites of national republics rebelled against central government, starting to leave USSR one by one. KGB and military attempted a military coup to save USSR, but with no support from people they lost and were defeated by loyal forces of Russian Federation, after this Russian national government banned Soviet communist party in all territory of USSR, and then Russia leaved USSR.
Trump is basically American version of Gorbachev - Americans now will lose a 1/2 of their supply of goods and 1/2 of imports, Trump is saying that he will fight trade deficit and 36 trillion dollar debt by tariffs, but in reality it is American people who will pay with inflation and whealth for these tariffs increase and 36 trillion dollars debt decrease, while Trump will increase spending on military and cuts of taxes for rich, also American stock markets and factories lost trillions of dollars already, so with higher tariffs on foreign goods there will be lower income from taxes inside the country, so deficit and debt under Trump will only increase, just like Gorbachev's attempt to end Cold War and Arms Race and buy technologies and factories from America resulted only in increase of Soviet debt. Producing goods fully inside America - the prices for American people will rise for 2 times because Americans will work for 4-8 thousand dollars per month on these factories, unlike Vietnamese who will work for bowl of rice. Also American importers and retail businesses, together with China can bypass these tariffs by parallel import. Trump and America learned nothing from Russia, Russia was cut off from SWIFT, international banking system, and guess how Russia bypassed it? Russia just relying on parallel imports now, Russia is simply buying all goods from neighbouring countries like Kazakhstan, paying extra tariffs to them. So American retail businesses can bypass tariffs against China by simply making a supply chain in Mexico or Europe where tariffs are lower and Chinese goods will still go to America, but through Mexico or Europe, just like Russia is bypassing sanctions, simply making a supply chains in all post-Soviet neighbours and buying goods from Europe via Kazakhstan. So, if Trump wants to tariff China in 21st century, he must tariff by 145% all countries of the World so there will be no alternatives to bypass these tariffs.
