  1. This approach is far better than going straight to the police with the evidence (that can be done later if they do not relent): This just might shame these Rednecks to start thinking! The next good step would be to chat with them while they are fixing the porch and repairing the netting, even offer them a beer when the job is done - they just might realize that you are not a "raving communist" and, further, that being a rabid right-winger is not something they NEED to be! Bridging the divide is always better than fighting.
