  1. Zelinskyy is correct: The UN is a toothless, corrupt and useless old hag (I witnessed it myself in Africa 30 years ago), we need a new institution with some bite to it! Sadly, Thom is also correct: Just imagine, 70 years down the road - The UN started out fine, and look at what it has become! Any new institution with "some bite to it" will become hopelessly corrupt in just a few decades, and where will we be then? Zelinskyy can be excused, he is desperately suggesting a future arrangement that could prevent future disasters like his country is going through now. Human nature being what it is, we are in a bind. We cannot possibly let the atrocities in Ukraine continue, yet we are unable to do much about it other than defiant appeasement. We refuse to face the fact that the war in Ukraine is just the first battle of WW3, and until we are ready to face reality, WW3 will continue: Moldova next and from there it is a toss-up if Poland, Finland or the Baltic states will be the following courses on Putin's menu. Putin will be far better prepared when he eventually makes his next move in WW3.
