Why would anyone talk about it?
1
@28:00 Ben actually suggests to himself that he ahould go back to school and study geology.... Smartest thing I bet hes ever said.
1
I'm thankful that I live in the civilised country where we have separation of church and government and this isn't an issue. In England.... No sarcasm... It's true
1
Forget that in reality they seem to be incredibly rare.... There are vastly more jobs that could be done by a person who has no understanding or interest in the shape of the earth. Some which come to mind: Gardener Painter/decorator Joiner Electrician Mechanic Road worker Police officer Fireman Doctor Nurse Paramedic Vet Farmer Game keeper Estate agent Property letter Dentist Priest/rabbi/imam Retail assistant Human resources manager Solicitor Grocer Butcher Hair dresser I'd go on but I feel the point is properly Labourd
1
@The-first-and-only-bobfish I don't think he's speaking English. I think he's talking American.
1
Most of them are just over the horizon
1
I realise its a fly on the turd pile. But i have to point out how stupid it is to say "British accents". That was not a good start.

A list like this, with links to proof of exact numbers and expert opinions would be excellent. It could keep going. Add things like how artillery has had to take into account the curve since ww1. How the v2 rockets had to in Ww2.... more and more people can add their area of expertise until there is a list of people that would have to be “in on it” that is a huge % of humans..... at that point, if the FEs are right, then the millions who know the “truth” can’t be beat and will likely wipe us all out with a zombie plague anyway. So why worry..... or it may prove to some rational if ill educated people that the nonsense that fe spouts just can’t be true

Think vaccines are dangerous? I have a plant in my garden. It's common and can be eaten safely. But if you sit under it for 5 mins you WILL be dead. It's a water Lilly. Vaccines save lives. Why else would they be free? They save money.
1
@electricalstuff259 they are in England. I can choose to have one or not.
1
@electricalstuff259 I've been very unwell since birth. My current 6 weekly treatments alone cost thousands. I pay a pittance in tax. People who are unable to work due to infirmity, age etc pay nothing. Is it a perfect system? No. But it's better than having a couple of super carriers. I'm no fan of the welfare state. But having free access to universal healthcare is worth the cost. The UK population overwhelmingly supports the NHS and we live in a representative democracy. So all is well that ends well.
1
@electricalstuff259 and how much would that cost in France? I tried to work out what my healthcare would have cost. I got as far as being 16 and it was north of £10m and that was just basic rounding of cost of a night in hospital. A guess at physio sessions and medications. Bupa and admiral wouldn't cover me. The NHS does. Is it perfect?... No. But it's excellent. As for how long things take. It's called triage, without it you'd die of a bleeding ulcer while people were given a bandage for a broken nail.
1
@electricalstuff259 I've never had a bad word to say. that's in 30 years of needing the NHS to be able to walk and at this point I wouldn't be alive without the care I've received. All of which has been perfect. I suppose if I really wanted to be picky. I don't like the tea bags they use. Perhaps you've just went to a poor hospital.
1
@electricalstuff259 well we shall agree to disagree.
1
I've been trying to meet a flat earther since the netflix documentary about (?) ten years ago. Where are you from? I'd love to meet one. Sad you met a racial/religious extremist. Such people are infinitely more dangerous than silly conspiracy terrorists like flat earth people
1
Probably assumes everything before 1970 is olden times and is cowboys and Indians (because science forbid he'd think about the existence of the world outside his own country)
1
H isn't silent in honest. At least in my accent (northern England)
1
@G-Dawg712 wow. That's so strange. It seems from an outsiders perspective that America is probably the most divided and nationalistic country since Germany in the 20s. Which is scary. It's also a shame. That said. If people were daft enough to decide not to vaccinate or ware masks in an attempt to make a perceived political statement. That's Darwinism in a rather brutal way.
1
@Tmanaz480 I'd add to that: the utter unacceptable use of the words Unique and unbelievable. But yes. I agree with your comment
1
@Tmanaz480 oh and "reaction"... I could see a video titled "Stephen Fry REACTS to controversial xyz" And in spite of my reverence for the man I wouldn't watch the video. Mainly because I can't imagine him using such a buzzword incorrectly.
1
@rayopeongo someone who's listened to fry and hitchens I see. Bravo!
1
@rayopeongo however. And I am agnostic... We must remember that when we talk to religious people that to those who have faith, no explanation is necessary. And that is fine. As long as they don't crusade, tell others what to do with their free will or you know... The whole terrorist thing.
1
@rayopeongo if a believer comes to my door attempting to 'convert' me. I have no issue with that. As long as they do so peacefully and accept my rejection and leave respectfully (as I would show them respect). .I understand that it's a part of their faith to attempt conversation.
1
@rayopeongo the internet is a odd one. My theory is that it matters little. But I would be very interested in knowing if there is research which documents religious conversion and or influence on the internet
1
But, but, but. Coffee cup
1
Have to agree. It's scary as hell that America is so influenced by a religion and yet claims to have separation of church and state
1
The more i learn about extremism in the usa the more scared i become.
1
@brizzle3903 sadly It seems this is true.
1
I thought he said intranet but it was obvious he meant internet and it is a quirk of accent.
1
What are you basing these statements on?
1
@midori_the_eldritch that's difficult to read. But my question was based on: why do you think that with lots degrees and xyz intellect that you can somehow cure illnesses? I don't understand how that is a thing
1
@midori_the_eldritch 'you would need several degrees to do energy healing'.... I don't understand how you can do 'energy healing' regardless of education level. So I would like to know what you base that statement on.
1
Things Kent has in common with the Bible: no problem with pedophilia. I am worried by anyone who agrees with him 110%
