Russia, pre-war: "We are not going to attack Ukraine. Ridiculous Western lie." Russia, after it starts war: "It is not a war." Russia, after it gets disastrously bogged down: "The not-war is going according to plan." Russia, as it prepares for major losses: "Nothing bad's going to happen."

It was actually their lucky day. Best possible outcome for them.

When your work vehicle doubles as your funerary urn.

Trucks are great targets, too. Yes they're more easily and more cheaply replaced than armored vehicles, but they're chock full of weapons, ammo, fuel, parts, other supplies, and personnel. Cripple the enemy's logistics, cripple the enemy.

Bravo, Azerbaijan! From the West, respect for our Azeri friends!

And common decency. And guts.π

I finally realized which place in the world most resembles Russia politically and psychologically: Africa. They are the two places most firmly clinging to the feudal-tyrannical mindset. Putin closely resembles Mobutu Sese Seko, Siad Barre, Sani Abacha, Robert Mugabe, Paul Biya, Jean-Bedel Bokassa, Muammar Gaddafi, or Laurent Kabila. He even bears a strong facial resemblance to Macias Nguema, the loathsome tyrant of Equatorial Guinea.

Β @alexanderlang7640Β Ok, but with 'glory' defined as Russia ousting its current little tsar, ending this obscene war, paying reparations to Ukraine, and beginning to behave in a civilized fashion befitting the 21st century rather than the 15th. That would indeed be glorious.
17
We welcome our trusted friends of long standing, the Finns. It's a great day.
14
Putin gambled that the US and the other rich democracies wouldn't do anything. Presumably that's what his sycophantic advisors told him for years. That's how it goes with grandiose autocrats. And so he bit off more than he could chew. Mussolini: "Bro. The end is not pretty, let me tell you."
12
Β @Robespierre-IIΒ It's all for the best, as long as they don't pay the full world market price. If no one bought any Russian oil there wouldn't be enough to go around for everybody, meaning the price would likely double. Economic problems would be massive worldwide, for rich and poor countries alike. India's economy would be terribly afflicted. The good thing is that opinion polls appear to show a surge in support for Ukraine among Indians.

Good God almighty that is one fast missile. Unbelievable. πππ
11
Good job, Ukraine! Now do it three million more times.

This is turning out to be Wagner's unfinished symphony.

The guilty-minded live in exaggerated fear of punishment for their sins. Which is nice.

Gold medalists of the misleading title and thumbnail Olympics. Getting really tired of it.

He was a prisoner, but almost not a prisoner at all: Lacking forks and spoons they gave him a dangerous knife to eat his eggs with! And weren't afraid! Man, Ukrainian soldiers are large of heart. Legends.

πThe white and grey clouds were ammo. The black one was fuel. Nice of the Russians to store them all together! ππΊπ¦

I'm glad to say that earlier this year Serbia and Iran announced that they will not recognize the Donbas as part of Russia. I was pretty surprised.
8
It dismays me to hear Gen. Hodges now refer to the end of 2023 as a hoped-for date for the defeat of Russia. Just a couple of months ago he was still referring confidently to the end of August over and over in many interviews. I'd like him to clarify that.
7
Maybe he was just looking for something small he dropped.
7
Your problem is that you failed to disregard the report of whoever told you Ukraine captured only a single Russian fighter today.
7
That comes as little surprise to your great friends in Canada. We love the Dutch and the Ukrainians both, and always have. πΊπ¦π¨π¦π³π±
7
I'm not sure you're more than a few lines of code.π
7
Β @SamZizlaΒ "does this make me a russian bot?" Yes, probably. Or a North Korean, Iranian or Chinese one. Or an insane American. Whatevs.

They're thinking "Man, this is the best thing that could've happened. I'm gonna be safe, dry, warm, clean and fed."

Russia: a country which sits on its brains.

English-speaking viewers: (1) Turn on Captions (click CC button). (2) Click Settings (icon of a gear). (3) Click Subtitles. (4) Choose Auto-translate. (5) Choose English. (6) Read, but it's limited. Glory to Ukraine! Eventual Forgiveness to Russia (five or ten years minimum after they lose, like Japan & Germany, but maybe a little more)!

πΊπ¦ Go get 'em lads!π

Good, but I hope the munitions for taking them down weren't very expensive. Supposedly these drones only cost $20k apiece or something. EDIT: πGerman-made βGepardβ self-propelled anti-aircraft guns were used.ππΊπ¦π©πͺπΊπ¦

It has a Potemkin quality to it. The village, not the ship.
6
I'm guessing you're more of an elf.π

He is the deadliest defender ever known. You are safer entering a cave home to a thousand dragons. His name: Solidar. Edit: Ok, I thought Solidar was a misspelling of 'Soldier'. But the comment stands.

Β @komuto-herovatoΒ Sorry, I don't speak Oink.

Meanwhile Wagner has rebooted and is conducting parallel recruiting in women's prisons. Also brothels.π

Correction: The houses where the Russians were hiding.

Aww, poo' liddle Poody bot. Canada is 14th out of 190 countries in military spending, and it has always bought very high-grade kit. It is the 6th-largest supplier of military aid to Ukraine, a fact which makes your sad claim the joke.
5
Β @arcticfox8932Β Yes, and btw Ukraine is using all kinds of inflatable decoys. I'm serious. Czechia has been sending blow-up HIMARS batteries, hundreds of them. At a cost of a few grand each they attract all kinds of heavy-duty fire including missiles. π (Maybe Russia uses them too, but the fact remains that Ukraine's eyes in the sky and ability to distinguish what's what on the battlefield and beyond are very superior.) This could be the origin of the impossible strike reports coming out of Russia. E.g. they claimed to have destroyed more HIMARS batteries than the US even sent, and before they even sent one.π What really happened is they popped a lot of balloons. Hooray for the Czechs.π¨πΏπΊπ¦πͺπΊπ¬π§πΊπΈπ©πͺπ¦πΊπ¨π¦π³π΄π―π΅ + dozens of others.

The moral: Next time just stay at home in Russia where you belong.
5
And wouldn't Crimea be a great location for it? π

Please decrease the volume of your intro and outro music. It is perhaps the loudest thing on YouTube.

Β @owoewrefiΒ You Dutch are legendary for your gratitude. My uncle would go back every five years to reconnect with the Dutch people and attend anniversary celebrations and ceremonies of remembrance. It was important for helping him to deal with his difficult experiences there, which had left him rather angry. He would bring us kids back chocolate and souvenirs like little clog keychains and windmills depicted in Delft blue. Thanks for your post.

Nice brief clip. Let's have some more of these. Glory to Ukraine and its heroes.πΊπ¦ Down with Russia and its barbarians.

Β @trevor5213Β β Canada is proud of you for doing all you can. πΊπ¦π¨π¦π¬π§

Germany has come around nicely and shown some good leadership. Plus its donated equipment is top-quality.π
5
What is this alternative corridor? Does it hug the Black Sea shoreline, thus allowing vessels to remain in NATO territorial waters all the way from Ukraine past Turkey to the Mediterranean?
5
Time for Canada to just do as it did with the $400m NASAMS air defence system, and simply pay for weapons and ammo, then have them delivered directly to Ukraine. It has sent a good deal of nice stuff from its stocks at home, but I'm not sure how much is left in Mother Hubbard's cupboard. πΊπ¦π¨π¦πΊπΈπ¬π§πͺπΊ...and many more
5
Once again I ask you to please lower the volume of your intro and outro music. It's the loudest thing I know of on YouTube. Turn it down! π€¨
5
Even Serbia is steadfast in its refusal to recognize the Donbas as part of Russia.
5
Thanks for a point of view which so perfectly mirrors Germany's in late 1942.
