@vedangkhandelwal5465 Interesting, thanks. I know little about our asylum laws and practices, so I'm going to assume you mean they're too generous. Cheers

I experienced shrinkage of the geschtoinkel so bad my girlfriend's gonna leave me.

What a snake. He encouraged these festering camps his whole career. Now, weeks before Harris will make her VP pick, he does this. Plus he knows there's a chance Harris will get the Biden treatment and be dumped.
3
@eddietat95 I warned ya! Didn't I warn ya?
3
@tylerp5839 Yes, but that's not new. That's been cheap journalism forever. What's new is that (1) these newsrooms actually believe such nonsense up to a point; and (2) where they fall short of actual belief, they simply want to advance the agenda, the truth of the matter be damned.

$240 a day for hotel and restaurant meals.

@verbalspaghettigaming7570 Marvellous. A perfectly useful and old word has been blurred and degraded. So get ready to "commemorate" the appearance of "yous" (as in Hey, did yous guys see that?) in next year's additions to so-called "descriptive" dictionaries. Yous peoples sure will be gratified.

The democratic-country alliances have enough, and Canada is a part of them. But yes, Canada needs to build up more military and naval power. So thanks for pointing it out. It helps to ensure it will happen.👍
2
Completely phony announcement from a completely phony government led by a PM who completely re-wrote the book on phony. He will do zero to make it happen. It's time for Peter Pan to put on his shiny slippers, throw open the window and fly off into the night.

No. Under the law, a true statement or allegation about a person—and it need not be absolutely true; it is enough that it be "substantially true"—cannot be defamatory. (But you'd be correct if you said that, in the ordinary dictionary sense, simply to harm anyone's reputation is to defame him or her, and need not entail uttering any falsehood.)
2
@TwistyTrav "Proving it to be false." No. Actually, in a defamation suit the legal onus is on the defendant to show that it's true, not on the plaintiff to prove it's false. (Thus an allegation which happens to be true but is not proved to the satisfaction of the court will be found defamatory. Yet every legal source you can find will say that the essence of defamation is a false statement or statements.)
2
@aavvcc Yes, and notice that there's no well-known and -funded "movement" for missing and murdered indigenous men. Nor will there ever be. When they're gone, they're just gone.
2
@louistournas120 They objected to mandatory vaccination and harsh govt restrictions generally.
2
China is entitled to navigate anywhere in international waters. No problem. And so can Canada. You're inventing problems where none exist. But thanks for the Chinese foreign ministry CCP spokesperson point of view.

1) Trudeau: always with the gestures, the words, the photo-ops, but little that is real. As a percentage of GDP Canada is very low on the Ukraine donations list. Its big item is a promise to arrange a $1bn IMF loan at some point in the future—not a donation, a loan. Number two is military aid...for 2023. 2) Is it smart to have the top three officials of Canada's government strolling together in a city that's still at times being shelled and bombed? (Answer: No.)

Make Justin Ocasio Cortez a Supply Teacher Again
2
Brutally mismanaged is too small a term for what's happened to Canada.
2
Could be headed for United. Or to Ivory. Possibly to Virgin. Maybe Gold. Or New.
2
Canada, like all countries, has a duty to participate in upholding maritime laws in international waters. It's not a waste of money, it's money well spent protecting things under threat from bullying authoritarian regimes.
2
@mikey90504 He should have done it in France. Some guy there killed ~20 people in a McDonalds and was captured by police. They took him to the police station and threw him off the roof, killing him. (Publicly they said he escaped from them while inside the station, wriggled out of his restraints, found his way upstairs, broke through locks and doors to the roof and jumped off. No one questioned their account.)

(1) Those applauding just showed up and were not told about this part of the proceedings beforehand. The position of Speaker is a respected one, so they had no reason to imagine anything was wrong. They trusted the PMO to run the day's events properly, which was not done. They hadn't properly vetted the Speaker's personal guest. (2) The Speaker's intro did not mention WW II: "[He] fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians."
2
It's lunch money compared with the potential mammoth impoverishment if the Authoritarian Axis runs away with the world. Make no mistake, they want to put us right out of business. I repeat, lunch money.

41 seconds of news commentary. 87 seconds of unfiltered pro-H...s prop ag and uh. Way to go, Global. Showing your true colours.😠

@Shekhinah74 You didn't know he was estranged from his father, who beat and humiliated him for years during his boyhood? He would be the first to tell you that Beto Milei is a terrible man. He did not invite him to his inauguration. (The elder Milei attended as a guest of his daughter, who also has a govt. position.) Anyway, you affect moral outrage over government subsidies as though they were outright theft. Actually they are practically the backbone of the Argentinian private economy. The Argentinian government taxes you with both hands and passes you money with a third. (Hopefully all that is going to change soon.)
2
@lilzuplada1564 It seems like a gesture of special respect meant to not fuel speculation about what happened. But that's not normal practice, surely? Anyway, yes Canadian news is bad. To be generous I'd give it a D-plus.
2
@HeronPoint2021 The CBC really burns me up with that.
2
...of Putin's choosing. He wants Russia's blanket of countries around it back again.
2
Fair point. The US can walk and chew gum at the same time. There's nothing 'either/or' about these two important things.
2
@colourcoco Those are definitely words.
2
@lordhighexecutioner Why do you refer to a plane being brought down? Why do you have a Ted Bundy fan video on your channel? Why did you choose one where Bundy menaces someone with a comment about them dying in a plane crash on their way back home?
2
@Hotstuff5743 I strenuously reject your claim, and I don't care what any CBC program claims. I go to five or six different chains and observe prices very carefully. The discount chains have lower prices, period. End of story.
2
I think it was the global humiliation of Canada over the accusation against India that really sealed Trudeau's fate. There was great resentment lingering among his longtime opponents over the Ottawa vaccine mandate protest, but it was his ham-handed confrontation with India that really hurt him with his own supporters as well. He's a worldwide joke and he's made Canada one too. No one likes that.
2
😡Make an example of those who deliberately bring overseas violence with them to Canada: Swiftly deport them.
2
Supporting terrorists is unacceptable, no matter who does it. Stop playing the ray ray card for fun and profit and sanctimony.
2
@coolioso808 That deluded woke mindset has failed miserably. It was totally based on empty sanctimony and it's done. Admit it and start over.
2
@80ZION7V "A schoolgirl is more wise than beasts of burdens. [sic]" 🤔 I don't know about that. I'd say it depends on which schoolgirl. Some of them are no wiser than trees. Anyway, a donkey is certainly wiser than Prime Minister Peter Pan.
2
They said "passenger van."

Electronic voting has also arrived in Russia. So if there's low turnout indicating weak support for Putin, millions of electronic votes can magically and easily be created to cover it up.
2
@TWolfe777 You have a few burnt out bulbs in your chandelier, my friend. There's nothing contradictory in it. If a rainstorm is a thunderstorm, it produces lightning. And if a rainstorm produces lightning it must be a thunderstorm. With me so far? And lightning is a leading cause of forest fires. You didn't know that? It tends to be when the storm produces a high ratio of lightning to rain, and especially after a stretch of dry weather. Get it this time?
2
@p33t3rpark3r Studies say a lot of things, many of them wrong. All kinds of research is corrupt, botched, can't be replicated. Graduate degrees are handed out largely as participation trophies or like unpaid internships that rich kids land. You didn't know that?🤨
2
Long live a strong America. The US is what stands between billions of people and tyranny.
2
Leave Yuri alone. He's just trying to harvest little carrots from a patch beside the parking lot. Oh, and dandelions as well.
2
But my dear woman, he never claimed to love Canada. He openly despises it, and us.
2
Nyet, ocel.

The plural of aircraft is aircraft! You people write in English for a living? 😂
2
That type cannot prevent a suicide, as a person can simply go over it. But it would prevent accidental falls and the majority of attempts to commit a murder by pushing someone. As I understand it most subways around the world now have the floor-to-ceiling type, or are gradually installing them. They're massively expensive, especially for a large subway system.
2
@danhosking That's a UN-related pin. If it's somehow also a WEF pin, please explain how.
2
Typical Canadian media outlet, bought and paid for by the government. Of course it gives the Liberals the kid glove treatment. As for the Liberals and PM Peter Pan, just as their domestic polices are a middle finger to Canadians, their defense policies are a middle finger to our NATO partners.
2
That is an arresting pronouncement. How did you learn of this interesting explanation of things? Can you please share that?
2
@rong2912 The batteries are recyclable. Eventually the #1 source of lithium for manufacturing batteries will be old batteries. Right now, this still being early days, most of the ones ever made are still in service. Try to have some regard for the facts.
