Where does it prove the 2 are linked? You don't give an actual source, title of publication or author.. If you are going to try and give a source of an academic book, at least try and list it properly.

Genocide in Guatemala was perpetrated by Catholics in indigenous peoples. Genocide in Rwanda was perpetrated by catholics on catholics. Again the religion had nothing to do with it. German genocide in SW Africa against Hereo peopl. Christians killing blanks tribes not because of religion but race. The atheism of communists did not drive them to kill millions it was due to power and control.

  32.  @knutdergroe9757  The difference between the mass killings and genocides of Nazi Germany, Stalinist USSR and Maoist China is that the latter 2 were internal and suppressed by the communist authorities within those countries. The full story of those atrocities were not fully known until years later. They are condemned today. Nazi crimes took place across Europe and in the context of a world war, where propaganda was used to spread the message of why allied powers were fighting against Germany. This is in addition to the Nuremburg trials. No trials could or were held for Stalin or Mao.

I didn't really see why they should be a priority over younger more vulnerable people. Luckily i currently live in a country which put in strict border controls, so no local transmitted cases in 270 days and all cases in that time were caught in 14 days hotel quarantine. The world economy is screwed for next 2-3 years. I agree with your points above. There is no simple answer which is what the public seems to expect.
