  7. The media want everyone to think Dukakis lost the race on this one question. The media themselves are the ones who develop the debate questions so they love having their "gotcha!" moment and they love for people to think a candidate lost because of them. In truth, there were many factors that played into Dukakis' defeat, not the least of which was the Bush campaign being so aggressive with attack ads, and Dukakis playing it cool by not responding.

I thought they descended too fast (due to too much ballast weight, either unintentionally or even by design of that Rush guy) and I thought they landed hard and became stuck in the muddy seabed. I was glad (and I feel strange saying this) to hear the news that they imploded, because that means a quick and painless death. I couldn't bear the thought of these five men stranded at the bottom of the ocean, with no warmth, no food or water and dwindling air.

And that doesn’t even include all the other taxes you pay like property taxes and VATs. You must be some 17-year-old kid living with your parents to have a mentality like this (though I’m sure you’ll deny this and say you’re a 40-something investment banker living in a luxury apartment blah blah blah). ”But! But! But! We Danes don’t have to pay tuition to attend university! And we don’t have to pay to visit the doctor!” … yeah, yeah yeah, I haven’t even been to a doctor in at least six years (I only go to the dentist twice a year) so why would I want to pay over HALF of my income for something that I don’t even use? ”But! But! But! We have paid parental leave here in Denmark too!” …I don’t even have any kids, so why do I care about paid parental leave? In fact, why should I pay for a program that only incentivizes people to have kids that they can’t afford to take care of?

  21. I worked for a bank for three years and now I work retail. Gift cards are so rife with fraud that it’s pointless having them. Every week I see at least one person (usually elderly) spending hundreds of dollars and they even become angry or defensive with me when I try to refuse the sale and/or warn them that they are being scammed.

  22. @mightybeast5301 that is not true . You're misinformed there little man. Even if you're under 18, you can still have a credit card. It won't be under your name -- however, you can be added as what's called an "authorized user". Talk to your parents and ask them to talk to their bank about adding you as an authorized user (I worked for a bank for three years). You can also have a DEBIT card which is linked to a checking account for which one or both of your parents is a co-signer. Kids as young as 8 can have a debit card. Good luck. 👍

Many foreign militaries know our Navy has underwater listening capabilities, but I doubt any of them until now suspected we were employing these technologies a thousand miles off our coast, in international waters. Well the US has just tipped its hand. Just like how most drivers know there are speed traps out there, but they don’t know the exact locations where the cops are hiding. Same principle.

It's going to destroy jobs!" ...but it didn't, did it. You need a delivery driver to go to the warehouse and fill up the machine, remove and count the cash, and respond to customer complaints about incorrect change, expired products, etc., And back when email first became commonplace back in the mid-90s (you're obviously too young to remember) everybody said that was the beginning of the end of the postal service. And what happened? People began ordering stuff online, and now instead of handwritten letters or magazines, the postal service is busy delivering parcels and packages. 📦📦📦📦📦

Their goal is to open the whole state incrementally sooner rather than later. As this recent unemployment mess clearly demonstrates, Florida cannot sustain itself or it simply refuses to. DeSantis went to Trump probably to beg for a federal bailout of the state. By this time next week all of the Florida Republicans will be out there publicly claiming that the COVID-19 virus can't survive in warm weather and that all of Florida is safe.
