Even with a wall (like the one Trump has proposed) you would still need a human component (ie- a Border Patrol) to make the border fully air-tight. A wall and a Border Patrol complement each other.

@cgray333 this wasn't some $10,000 worker's compensation claim by a stock room worker who threw out his back - this was a lawsuit from a federal agency. For close to a quarter million dollars.

@mramirez5239 another Internet lawyer. One who doesn’t know how to spell.

@redpillsuccess5975 there's free valet parking everywhere in Chicago. The only thing is that the valet will be holding a gun and he won't give you the car or the keys back.

“I'm getting used to dealing with problems that are expensive, disruptive and WHITE. I'm talking about snowflakes, snowflakes! I mean snowstorms...snowflakes!" -Michelle Wu, Mayor of Boston

@RitaLady years ago I pushed wheelchairs at O’Hare. We relied on tips but it was very inconsistent. Three people would stiff you after you busted your ass, one would slip you a $5 and one would give you $30 even though you barely lifted a finger for them. The inconsistency drove me crazy. Rather than rolling the dice and taking my chance with tips I’d rather just get a decent hourly wage which I know is a sure thing every day.

I love Greg Abbott and Donald Trump - I'm not sold on DeSantis.

That is not a good idea. Ffs, just build the Wall. We don't need alligators, we don't need landmines or anything drastic.

@Under-Kaoz facts
1
@Amerique1798 because of Democratic policies (such as welfare) which incentivize black and brown women to be single mothers. In the 1960s the single motherhood rate among POC was around 20 percent, today it’s 75-80 percent.
1
@Phantom1127-ck3qr we can't afford them , period, even the democrats are starting to see this ....yes and no. Yes the Democrats are seeing how much of a problem open borders are, but they'll just blame Republicans and keep on voting Democrat.
1
@wyo_garage20 oh I'm sorry Mr. Genius, I didn't realize you were America's foremost expert on presidential logistics. You seem a little slow so I'll bring you up to speed. Donald Trump does not assume the presidency until Monday at noon; as of now he is still a private citizen and should be using his private jet.
1
@Genesis-007 ok now you’ve just proven yourself to be even more dense. Go look up what “SAM 28000” is. And try to get a good night’s sleep tonight as they say it helps brain power (and believe me, you need it).
1
@ [smh] boy have you made a fool out of yourself. Go look up what "SAM 28000" is. Trump is not the sitting president (yet), and Air Force One is just a callsign for any aircraft that the president is aboard.

@mikew764 or Hillary saying the Russians hacked the election in favor of Trump.
1
We should start with Stacey Abrams since she’s the one who claimed credit for Biden winning Georgia. I’d bet any amount of money her organization was recruiting and registering illegals.
1
@ I don't care if the flight was from South Korea, North Korea, Iran or Timbuktu. It crashed on US soil and that put it squarely in the jurisdiction of the federal government. Bill Clinton never visited the crash site of USAir Flight 427, and Jimmy Carter never visited the crash site of American Airlines Flight 191. How predictable of you to split hairs like that and make pathetic excuses for Grandpa Joe and Messiah Barry. Orange Man Bad?
1
@darkmetal2412 “whataboutism” is such a stupid term made up by Leftists. It’s not whataboutism. It’s about something called “consistency”. ATFQ. Look that one up.
1
@jahgggg that’s funny. I don’t recall the media ever asking Bill Clinton (as president) to visit the crash sites of TWA 800, or JetBlue 592, or USAir 427.
1
@jahgggg @useruser666 did the media ever ask Bill Clinton if he was going to visit the crash site of TWA 800? No they didn’t, and he didn’t. There, that’s a US airliner. What will your excuse be THIS time ?
1
@jahgggg @saran3214 excellent points and well written. You’re absolutely right. If Trump were to visit the crash site so soon after the crash, Liberals would accuse him of staging a photo opp. Look at all the airline crashes that happened during Bill Clinton’s presidency (USAir 427 in Pennsylvania, ValuJet 592 in the Everglades) and the media never asked Clinton if he was going to visit those sites. #LiberalHypocrisy
1
@jahgggg @useruseruser666 did the media ever ask Bill Clinton if he was going to visit the crash site of TWA 800? US airliner, major casualties, involved the U.S. military. Let’s hear your excuse NOW.
1
@jahgggg @useruseruser666 did the media ever ask Bill Clinton if he was going to visit the crash site of TWA 800? THAT one involved an American air. carrier and the US military. What’s your excuse going to be NOW?

WHAT law? Democrats don't believe in the rule of law..

1
@robinbanks5418 excuse me but I don’t recall saying anything to you (did I address any of my comments to Robin Banks?) …so why don’t you be quiet and mind your business
1
@teresa5391 oh! There it is! “Oppression”…a favorite word of Leftists, right up there alongside those other catch words and phrases like ‘racist’, ‘fascist’, ‘sexist’, ‘white privilege’, and ‘systemic’. I suppose you’re also going to tell me that you think the US women’s soccer players are underpaid…right?
1
@teresa5391 funny how you got so bent out of shape from someone trying to teach you the difference between you’re and your (which you blamed on a typo) but if you go back to the second or third comment on this thread, the OP (Robert) laid into another commenter for a typo (completely unnecessarily, because that WAS obviously a typo) and yet you said nothing to him.

The devil wears red.
1
Why only two debates? In most election years dating back to 1988 it was always a tradition to have three.
1
@theresawinthrop55 so when are we gonna get back to normal then?
1
@stanfromparis1656 life starts at implantation, not conception. It takes about a week for a heartbeat to be registered. I think you and I are mostly in agreement except for that one point. But I do agree that Liberals are cold, heartless people.
1
@ I take it you do not want to become the 51st state 🤔

Richard, McDonalds restaurants in Australia and France pay their workers above the minimum wage yet they charge almost exactly the same prices are McDonalds here. I'm not sure why you even mentioned McDonalds since they have a strict no-tipping policy anyway.
1
@RichardAugustMatthew19Man I'm talking about McDonalds in America. They have a strict policy against tipping and they pay all their workers at or above minimum wage. Understand?
1
@RichardAugustMatthew19Man you're all over the place here but I'll start with the discussion about minimum wage. You're still missing the point. If a restaurant in Rooty Hill, New South Wales (that's Australia) can pay its workers at or above minimum wage and have prices comparable to the U.S., then I fail to see the argument in favor of maintaining a culture of paying employees $3 an hour and expecting them to make up the difference with tips. What if some customers don't tip well, or tip at all? What if business is slow on a particular night ? I work retail and those robots (self-checkouts) do not threaten my job. Someone has to monitor and supervise customers using the machine, someone has to fill, remove and count money, someone has to replace receipt paper, someone has to clean them, fix them when they're malfunctioning. You may think you're eliminating a job but you're creating a new one in its place.
1
@Mlee-k4x you still won't answer my question. Forget about the tips for a minute! How is it that a McDonald's in New South Wales, Australia can pay its workers $23/hour and have prices equal to McDonald's in the USA? Can you please answer that question? I've only asked it about five times now and this clown Richard gave me a whole lecture about irrelevant stuff like robots and self-checkouts and now he's disappeared and now you're doing the same stuff too. So I'll ask the question a sixth time just so we're clear: how is it that a McDonald's in New South Wales, Australia can pay its workers $23/hour and remain in business and have menu prices equal to menu prices at McDonald's in the USA? Forget about the tips!
1
Yeah exactly, just what I thought...see you clowns can't and won't answer my question. Look what we have here, this Richard guy who acts like he's the Chief Economist of the Brookings Institute or the Federal Reserve Chairman.
1
@RichardAugustMatthew19Man I just listen to the news, compare it to The Holy Bible and human history, and stay ahead of the curve. ...and you ignore questions when they're asked of you six times, and then change the subject to completely irrelevant nonsense. There, I fixed your sentence for you. Now you can go back to staying ahead of your little curve.
1
@RichardAugustMatthew19Man I’ve already read all of your turgid, rambling comments - I’m not going to go back and re-read anything.
