  11. It's more about liability from prescribed burning that's the problem. We need far more frequent lower intensity burning. Logging big trees is also to blame.

  15. @More Serenity! It appears the Amazon was more deforested 500 plus yrs ago with all the cities that were once there, now visible via lidar. Apparently they were all exterminated, like most "American" (Italian name) natives, by introduction of Euro pathogens of course. Jungle may have been more an orchard/farm in wide swaths.
