Keep in mind this one was 100X smaller than the famous Fukashima quake. Japan yawns for this but it's good for "news" outlets.

@melinavergara All churches?? A few yrs ago several churches near me were torched to dust in a single afternoon and no one even tried to put them out!...but then there was that fire storm firestorm leveling the entire town. God works in strange ways.
1
@Orange Top Does it make a diff if you are omnipotent? Results are indistinguishable be it a blessing or allowing or even engineering it like bin Laden. We can't tell from here the motives, only results matter.
1
@PCgamerChannel I've never in my life believed in the supernatural/Gods.
1
No.
1
@cultofthevoid5677 Learn what it represents maybe? It's not synonymous with anarchy.
1
@cultofthevoid5677 Libertarians believe in self reliance and responsibility not abolishing police, military, courts and such. If you need to pry money from your neighbor bc you can't feed yourself maybe you should look inward. We don't owe you sustenance, only owe you common decency and justice.
1
@bassfishingwiththeantichri2921 Does that 'fact' make you feel better about your boldfaced 100% fabricated from nothing statement?
1
Not a Tesla story, reckless driver story.
1
How is he NOT? Assets are only a defining characteristic to the simple minded. OH!...he's an accomplished PILOT so yeah, not everyday dude.
1
It's for posers, attention seeking pukes.
1
@MsK_byTheWay Most of them came from my Commifornia, funny you don't see a trend FROM TX and FL to F'ed up Cali.
1
Except for Woke Leftist extremism in America, that's a religion that is and should be forced on everyone.
1
FBI busy censoring, spying on us all and subverting our pretend democracy.
1
@rdean150 Simply NOT factual. It's establishment media propaganda. Remember the Dust Bowl?? That wasn't just bad farming practices it was the worst drought in American history, 1930s. The all time highs were some 90 to 110 yrs ago. Lowest artic ice was also long ago. Greenland ice sheet melting has NOT increased in 80 yrs according to the IPCC. Prehistory California has had multi decade and even century long droughts according to tree ring records going back some 5k yrs. Want more evidence? It's nearly endless.
1
@nickl5658 Hypothetically sure, humanity hasn't come remotely close to what nature has done in reality. Popular rhetoric (completely baseless) predicts a worse case of what?...1 or 2 deg C this century?? Only 12k yrs ago nature provide 10C in about 50 yrs! And similar events over last few million yrs. Was it bc cavemen were burring too much firewood? Consensus has nothing to do with science but since most are lazy and using that as a metric--the IPCC has NO ALARMING message for this century. NONE. Quit pretending popular propaganda resembles science, IT DOES NOT, they care about clicks, about attention THATS ALL.
1
Leon Wilcox You can't even do that without going to some pains to fool the car. It's a reckless driver story not a Tesla story no matter what. Could have been intoxicated driver who fled, we don't know if AP was active.
1
They keep blaming Covid when it had virtually nothing to do with it--it was the insane reaction to the flue that did all the damage. Sweden and Florida did/doing just fine.
1
@_mazarico_ That sounds like most youth today, they'd rather sit in mom's basement than work their way up from an entry level job and advance their lives.
1
You were correct up until atheism, Christianity is the cancer of that realm, pure evil.
1
@chriscoleman9068 I believe my thoughtful gov. Newsom predicted a couple million in Cali alone during his initial panic attack. Reckless SOBs wrecking the nation.
1
Knowledgeofphilly I hope that was sarcasm cuz no one could be THAT STUPID.
1
This happens 40,000 X per yr in America alone, don't be fooled by media bs, it's only reported bc it's a Tesla.
1
Most obvious trite statement ever.
1
Yeah it's like trying to avoid evil Christianity.
1
@annA-fl8um HA! Let's just call it Bibicallism then? :D Does it matter the label? It's the content that counts.
1
@annA-fl8um How? It's pure evil either way.
1
Other than a few local numbers there is no record heat and drought going on, not even close.
1
That might add 1% to the market, it's certainly not a panacea. How far can you drive via burning the amount of plastic YOU discard every week? That'll give you an idea what there is to work with there, I couldn't go more than a few miles/wk on my plastic waste.
1
Welcome the protesters! At least not everyone is accepting starvation as a cure for a modest pandemic. So the media, giddy in it's power over us, will milk the derivative disaster brought to us by the panic attacks caused by popular media and inept governments.
1
God's will!
1
@sup9542 I've made a lot of money at odd hours, all nighter work shifts to avoid downtime for machines and industrial plants during assets productive daylight hrs. Increases my value to customers dramatically for only a little extra trouble on my end.
1
@pastorhaze9509 OK--then maybe they got locked inside and cooked? But if the "driver" was not driving from the drivers seat it's pure recklessness, nothing to do with Tesla...you have to hack the car to do that.
1
Nearly 80% of fatalities have been among obese or quite fat. Not to be dismissive of the gravitationally challenged but it's a massive (so to speak) comorbidity.
1
And many if not most of the other 20% had both feet on banana peels.
1
@Supgangy That has no place here, apparently you missed the joke and maybe the vid?
1
@Irene.R How would you know that? Nature starts fires all the time and these lands are born to burn many tree species inc redwoods cannot exist without fire Learn about reality it's really important. So far this fire season has been extremely mild in THIS region.
1
@dawnadriana1764 The renewable electric grid and EVs are taking over, today they are already the cheapest way to go, with zero input from governments this will look entirely different by end of decade. Even high performance large EVs can get 125MPGe, small more advanced one's will exceed 150MPGe and home owners in much of the land can be energy independent, affordably, just off their own roof, including 'fueling' their own cars.
1
@hankhill6469 Forgone conclusion. Tune into Tony Seba? Not the most fun to listen to but he's been on target for decades and I believe will continue to be proven correct. The graphs of the past he shows are not disputable.
1
@hankhill6469 That does not mean we shouldn't continue to develop NatGas and petrol today however, export LNG to Germany, etc., they will both die a natural death soon enough, but for NOW we need them.
1
@mmmmburgerz9442 It's a good to question authority, the MIC, etc. Every major weapon system, every fighter, tank....has been called garbage at some pt, yet most have panned out.
1
Yup...like a broken clock.
1
Typical forest fires in this area. Wind blows embers low to ground, big trees are adapted to fire anyway it's part of the seasonal evolutionary landscape and they are wet, structures are dry and light easily if they don't have such as steel roofs plus dry leaves in gutters.
1
@gardensofthegods You are only seeing snapshots from these short clips. I watched an hr. long vid from most of the main roads made for ppl who live there to get a glimpse of their properties. Some places it looked like even the big trees were mostly cooked other places where a minority of homes were fine and almost all the large trees looked to be OK. One home had water spilling/sprinkling on the roof, it was fine, another looked perfect with a ladder against the roof as if someone stayed to protect it. No doubt some folks who stayed saved their places others tried and failed. Given how many got caught up in the traffic jam panic evacuating, some dying there, staying to confront it may not have been the worst choice....impossible to know ahead of time....tough call for me had I been there.
1
Punk won't have the GUTS to do that again.
1
Situation NORMAL. Weird weather, who knew!
1
@CulchieBrand Have you stocked enough provisions to feed yourself for a yr.? Can you provide all your needs off your own land? If not the gun is laughable. I definitely agree about the "cabin fever" aspect. The shut-in was reckless and incredibly destructive.
1
@Code_Dee Good point.
1
@CulchieBrand Sounds good but I was asking if you could feed yourself without any outside inputs. By the time you need your gun that badly don't you think everything will have collapsed?
1
Almost time for WHAT? The late 1960's were much worse in America and that was nothing compared to most of human history.
