  13. Reckless to partially submerge any vehicle not fully quipped for it, water will seep into drivetrain bearings, ball joints, electrical connections and maybe batt pack even, never mind interior getting soaked. CT apparently has batt pack protected IF pre-pressurized.

  18. Big like and respect for Japan, I remember when they disrupted our Detroit junk options with reliability, value, endurance and utility early 1980's. But times change. Detroit desperately needed the competition in the day, they even admitted it later. Adapt or die. NOW it's Chinese brands and Tesla. (still love me olde BMWS tho, hahaha)

Endless litany of same rhetoric every couple yrs, 2018 was relentless--"Tesla losing executives like crazy! It's DOOMED!" When actually Tesla retains top executives much longer than typical Silicon Valley companies.

As a kid in rural America--we majorly relied on Sears, now largely forgotten and not missed, we got everything from car batts, tools to clothing/bed sheets to appliances to Xmas presents from Sears.

  24. Yeah Y I no longer ride street bikes, U can avoid most accidents but NOT ALL. Been in three where I had no escape path, not my fault, not possible to dodge. Avoided 100's, many near misses, usually avoided by my instantaneous reactions, judgment and handling.

  31. One more painful step towards decoupling, can't really afford to be codependent on the CCP anymore. Much more concerned about Rare Earth production, we'll replace China supplies and they'll be without a global market, if they push too hard. Saudis embargoed oil to the USA once. Response: we doubled industrial, home, car...efficiencies, terminated oil fired electric plants (yes was a thing), developed alternatives across the board. Saudis paid for it for decade(s) w low prices, plus permanent reduced reliance.
