Elon AND Tesla are rightly controversial, he's a 'genius' and the cars are great by all accounts but that does not necessarily mean TSLA is a good investment. If you are going to invest you better be open to both sides or get your head handed to you.

  13.  @ryankraft9897  Do you really think the ocean is getting shallower from desal?? It isn't. Only two things can increase salinity, more salt or less water. All the water taken out returns to the sea one way or another, the level is NOT DROPPING, and no additional salt is added. So what's the potential issue here? Relative concentration near the brine discharge, that's all. YES areas around plants will be higher, (assuming runoff from the extra fresh water is not also localized which it may well be) NOT THE AVERAGE salinity of the oceans as a whole.

  15.  @ryankraft9897  Here's another way to look at it--the desal plant created fresh water soon returns to mix with the brine in the ocean just as tho one were to (pointlessly) mix the manufactured fresh with the brine right out of the plant, zero change in ocean salinity either way. The point in the vid is that the brine may not mix well immediately, becoming stratified AND the runoff (evaporated or whatever) fresh water may not be local to the desal plant causing differences in salinity, not differences in average ocean salinity overall.

  23. stephen geraci I like the fact that they have a diverse group of 'reporters', most of whom are pretty good at challenging the interviewees or at least asking pertinent questions. But some are much better than others, Becky IS very good and Joe just has trouble getting his thoughts into words--always, very hard to listen to often and I tune into them daily.

  27. Cramer certainly doesn't "fight Tesla", he has always praised the CARS and both praised and made fun of Elon as he does here. He just can't recommend such a risky, difficult to value stock. One may love the product and the man, the CEO, and still shun the stock! Life ain't simple, nor are people or stocks.
