lexus back on track looks to be the ultimate daily for most people, myself included haha
223
People who are stuck up in the notion "american cars can't turn" need to look at one of these
166
valid point but Honda also sells many Civic Si and those are manual only I also see a lot of FoST, FiST, and STI, which are all manual only in the US,
16
@divimport2 the C7 GS is gonna be a good value used but I just like the way this sounds haha
15
ford cheaped out with the expedition so that they can push people to get the much nicer navigator
14
@mandylewis8201 yeah AWD, but you pay extra and its not even that great. Fit and a decent set of snow tires will do just fine
10
cough savagegeese also more speaker==! better sounding
9
torsion beam is a sad loss but im more upset that they purposely overstyled the rear hatch's c pillar
9
modern autos shift way better on average than 80s slushboxes and return better MPGs than manuals main examples being ZF 8AT, VW DSG, Porsche PDK, etc main issue resides in the tuning tbh
8
@buffkangaroodog something something image and we have the si here though no hatch which sucks
8
The last Samurai was pretty popular despite being heinously slow The real reason it stopped being sold in the US is because Consumer Reports tried to defame Suzuki by working with Jeep to sue for Rollovers
7
would rather have an E400 over this
6
@Bruce.-Wayne fwiw a lot of JDM fanbois shit on american cars too without realizing that their hero cars in stock form arent really all that fast nowadays ~honda fan
5
@divimport2 oh and the ZL1 shits on the m4 and 911 Carerra if you wanna be faster than a ZL1 you're gonna need at least a turbo which costs 2.5x as much so gg
5
@ekgcanadianenthusiast9961 their infotainment and platforms were outdated asf And still are on the IS
5
@Varekai0723 im 19 myself and i cant identify with milennials imo the definition should be people born in 1980-1995 old enough to remember the 90s
4
Manuals on economy cars aren't that bad these days. I drove my fit manual in NYC traffic, and I was fine lol
4
being a BMW product is probably making 330ish at the crank
3
GM's battery technology is far superior to what honda can muster at the current moment. hondas previous attempts at Mainstream EVs have been a failure
3
@KUzZ911 the only tesla you can really get for this price is the lower trims of the model 3 while being faster and more trendy, they will last nowhere near as well as the rav4
3
I would love for this to get at least the supercruise if not the ar camera option
3
would have chosen the N if it was the i30N Veloster N 3.5 doors dont do it for me and the R is more practical for me in that regard also hate the rear end on the Veloster
3
that has nothing to do with what wheels are being driven
3
Americans seem to hate hatchbacks yet love when they are lifted for some reason
3
why does everything need a burble tune these days
3
I wish Hyundai just brought the i30N over- way more practical, better looking. Then they'd really have a GTI killer on their hands
3
par for the course in this segment also this is the top trim so people are spending $80k on F250s welcome to the new era of luxury truck
2
if you dont need the 3 rows its also a lot cheaper, a little better on gas, and the K20C is going to be easier to service than the J30AC
2
this is literally following every single CUV trend the main difference here is that you get a turbo boxer engine instead of an inline 4 turbo or a V6
2
@ericmotion4488 i live in NYC and frequently travel around the Northeast so yeah they're not exactly uncommon Although I do see more Pilots still Case in point the Ascent isn't all that special in this segment Id rather have a Telluride because Kia nailed the interior in them
2
they've contracted their sports cars to other manufacturers before this is nothing new the 2000GT everyone loves is a Yamaha design
2
but the average bmi is much much over
2
this wouldnt look so bad lowered as a proper wagon
2
you can get a MK7 GTi for about the same if not less than this fully loaded hatch
2
this car is a summation of everything I hate with CUVs useless slow lifted hathcback sold at a greater price for Karens who need to brag about the "tech"
2
its more pfoitable for businesses to make turbo cars that require extensive maintainance and break down every few years so you can get a new one
2
and a diesel too the overseas LandCruiser 70 has a similar footprint, much more old school in the fact that it has solid front axles+5 speed manual+twin turbodiesel 4.5 v8 the 150 Prado Utility (aka Lexus GX sans the v8) has a 2.4l i4 turbodiesel, shares platforms with the 4Runner and has a manual
2
basically designed for people who only care for the MB badge
2
this is the reason why Mitsubishi is still relevant in North America
2
@MaKoGaMeR 2017 minivans and station wagons exist as well as hatchbacks like the civic type r crossovers only exist because people need to stroke their egos and want the IMAGE of something rugged but in tun they're driving what is essentially a minivan/hatchback/station wagon on stilts, depending on size with less space also vans are the best people movers because you have insane cargo space WITH the third row up and sliding doors offer better ingress or egress if a van is too big, a Civic hatchback like the type r, or the golf alltrack, or tourx regal are great dailies without needing an unnecessarily high CoG and still have as much if not more space as with any other compact CUV, while also being much better to drive My parents hate crossovers so we have a Honda Odyssey and toyota sienna instead :)
2
@ericksanchez7787 the type r would pull away after 60
2
But its also smaller and 4 cylindef only :/
2
@coooolsmurffff TH also does better analyses of cars that are more relevant to the car and consumer who wants to buy one.
2
i dont mind the X7 existing but if really needed something to haul kids around, id get a minivan and an M2 for myself with the price of this one lol
2
@bluebandzbenji good to know. This car wasn't really made for the drag strip
2
@ryanlavallee3239 more for cost tbh the interior redesign doesnt sounc cheap
2
this thing would suck off road the 200 series/LX 570 have Live rear axle, locking diffs, and really good articulation this is essentially a 5 series made into being a minivan
2
A45 costs $20k more, S not even sold in NA, less interior space, too many computers, automatic only, bleh awd A45 is the ultimate car for "I do highway pulls to impress the ladies because I'm a chav" also it sounds lame for the price tbh, would rather have a m340i
2
say what you want about fca but gotta hand it to them for slapping this engine in a sedan , suv, and now a pickup truck too
1
this is probably the best choice if you want to keep your SUV in the next 15 years or if an apocalypse happens whichever first
