I hate the trend of people needing to sit up higher to feel "safer" while now we have trucks with massive frontal blind zones. Hondas are pretty good with interior visibility too.

new a7 looks great jokes aside its nice seeing Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai push forward with sedans in the age of everything being a crossover
38
hopefully the new gen 86 can turn right this time without losing oil pressure
19
we can see why America wants to keep the Chinese EVs out- they would run tesla out of business pretty quickly
16
the Supra has been more reliable than the GR Corolla (developed in house) or the 86 so....
15
the z has always been the more powerful "GT" ish sports car in nissan's history, while the GTR took on a track focused role what nissan needs is a lower power Silvia revival with better balance to take on the GR86
12
anything is better than the lobster claw
11
i would trust this over the twin turbo v6 toyota forced on everyone
11
this would be better with sliding doors
10
it doesnt matter that the 4runner is BoF, 99% of you 4runner guys buying these things new are primarily driving them to drop your kids off and going to Starbucks. the Passport is better suited to those kinds of tasks
9
cars getting larger are due to the US government's footprint laws which make it much tougher to keep within a size segment for certain mpg targets without making the car bigger. larger cars have more lenient mpg targets which is why everything is ginormous now. Its also just more profitable for manufacturers to push more expensive trucks and SUVs
8
@user54huhifck57 toyota charges more for their starbucks crawler
8
the midsize executive rwd segment is dead- unless you're willing to go EV
8
@ new e class is a screen laden disaster the BMW made the g60 5 series fugly and is pushing everyone to get the electric one. both companies sell more crossovers in that price range anyways so....
7
@Matt_K you say that but if nissan's performance gets worse you will most definitely hear of something happening to the CEO very soon
7
@AlexAlex-gs1xh "limit speed through the app" sounds pretty lame
6
Type S should have had it. The MDX Sport Hybrid only makes 20 less hp than tbe current type S but also gets like 50% better mpg. RLX Sport hybrid combined output is more than the TLX type S and it still gets better mpg too
5
the robotaxi is also just plain silly- what kind of taxi only seats two people?
5
we had one but we ddint like the mpgs it got lol fun to scare my parents getting up to 80mph automatic sucked ass though
5
what manufacturer hasnt had a recall as of late? I would trust honda's qc over teslas
4
@hev8286 audi has always been seen as playing 2nd fiddle to BMW and benz.
4
@ because bmw knows how to make an i6 sportscar perform well. toyotas own in house sports cars fall flat
4
it will most definitely become more expensive if it goes all hybrid
4
@rileystanek its not crash standards. its the CAFE requirements that are lenient towards larger cars. its why every honda model on sale rn is larger than the least. Honda doesn't want to sell you a fit, which would be a hassle given the regulations. when they can sell you a crv that is classified as a light truck, to get around the regulations and sold at an insane profit margin.
4
this doesnt matter as much as you think it does when driving to Starbucks
4
the Prius is more for making a statement based on the design, the camry is meant to be real sales leader
4
@blackwhirlwind1245 thats cuz its too easy to buy a bigger vehicle in the US. The EPA footprint regulations set near impossible fuel economy standards for smaller cars with smaller engines, which enables the manufacturers to cheap out with higher profit margin less efficient trucks and SUVs
4
@thejake8099 I believe the current mdx/tlx were deisgned when Acura was poising itself to use GM tech to go EV if not sooner than 2026, which could also be the reason for no hybrids anymore but their plans must havd changed in recent months after the split from GM and low EV demand
3
Honda and toyota also make a product for every purse and purpose if you consider acura and lexus. In fact nissan one-ups Honda by having a proper electric crossover offering, truck based SUV, and a midsize truck, all competitive segments in the US right now.
3
the real solution is to fund public transportation and divest from western corporations taking advantage of cheap labor laws in China/India to pollute there instead :)
3
@wyw201 Lexus' RWD platforms rn aren't doing great either
3
I wold have have said ID Buzz for you but $70k for 230 miles of range is laughable
3
mazda isnt entirely struggling because they keep their lineup small+have agreements with toyota in place. the cx50 hybrid is just a rav4 lol
3
supply issues means new gen being pushed for MY 2024 iirc but we will probably see it this fall anyways
3
at this point choosing a sedan over a crossover is more of a statement on style than percieved practicality but generally i agree the current gen accord looks like a budget a7 anyways, why not make it a fastback too im guessing it has to do with keeping weight down and nvh too
3
honda has been doing badly in Europe ever since the 00s.
3
the toyota turbos are dual injection so more reliable than most direct only injection motors
3
@eugenux they should make manual hybrids for Americans, and maybe the Japanese if they're still compliant. Americans are keeping Honda alive rn
3
@jz7551 like how the new Z is having issue after issue right
3
@xzimxzim thats just direct injection cars in general.
3
You can charge a phev at home
3
it doesnt make them enough money. CAFE regulations for footprint mean a vehicle like the Pilot gets less regulations for MPG due to its size vs a Fit sized vehicle. its very backwards. Its also why the civic gets bigger every generation.
2
@avdp9095 the current LS is not very competitive therefore its selling like crap
2
the 4runner does not have "more tech" unless you mean a complex and potentially unreliable turbo motor your stereotypes of passport drivers describes 4runner drivers more accurately. nobody is taking a new 4runner offroad, most of them will spend the vast majority of their 1st ownership driving to soccer practice and drinking expensive coffee
2
grmn yaris was sold out lol
2
lol you're gonna be asleep for a long time
2
thats what the is500 is for
2
he makes videos like this for every brand, tf
2
@ the rlx hybrid made 377hp 7 years ago and still got better mpg than the tlx type s that's sold rn. they definitely CAN do a more powerful car they just wont.
2
dude its insane, every car channel someone mentions a Toyota product this guy is bound to appear. i think its indeed something to seek help for. I'm not even upset I'm just worried for this dude at this point. @gengstar09
