Players and managers just say stuff to be polite and tell the fans what they want to hear. Every time a player signs he claims I was his lifelong dream, then says the same the next club he signed for. It's just PR.

  17. How? The PL rules were found to be illegal. The PL decided to rush through amended rules before they knew exactly what was legal and illegal despite City and a few other clubs telling them they should just wait for the final judgement. What a stunner they pushed through illegal rules again.

  31. It spreads the remainder out over the next 7 years. Say the player costs 70m and is on a 7 year deal. That's 10m a year. After 2 years there's 50m left and they sign a 7 year deal it comes out as 7m a year.

  32. The problem is how long can the game play before too much time has passed. 30 seconds? 2mns? 10mns? What if they make it wins and 2mns and 10 seconds later they realize they got it wrong? What if the oposition goes down the pitch and scores in that 20 seconds? Chalk off that goal and award the 1st goal? It just sets up other messes down the road to fix 1.

  49. But they haven't stopped the game a 2nd time. The game is stopped while the call is checked. Then then game is started to take the pen or whatever. They don't take the pen then say "woops that was wrong. Stop the game again and chalk off the goal".
