If anyone should be held to account for breaking the law it should be those that make the laws.

She used the car as a weapon and he could have been run over by cars behind. Prison is fair. Surely with those so-called mitigations…mental health etc… there is no way she should be able to get her licence back.

I am a cyclist and stop at red lights and it infuriates me when another cyclist flies past and through on red…even if there are pedestrians… then we all get it in the neck about « all you cyclists ».
18
Well done to you. That other person and ones like them are utterly sick individuals.
15
Not just older drivers. I think everyone needs a check test every 10 years at least. Many young drivers drive the fastest and take the most risks hence have the most accidents.

@mkaz3997 asylum seekers are not illegal if thats what you are referring to.
9
Same here. I agree. I do this at pinch points like traffic islands, parked cars in narrow lanes etc. If the car behind gets frustrated then too bad.

I recently drove at 375 mph on the M1 but got away with it as I told the police and army roadblock I was going to Barnard castle to test my eyesight.
6
He used his car as a weapon. This is a jail sentence.
6
They cant do it by law..GDPR etc.
5
That horsebox was absolutely hoofing it along.
5
Yes, no and no

It is terribly sad but it seems to be a massive over reaction …she didnt have an intent to hurt anyone I am sure and she didnt touch her.
5
I had a guy in a 7 series BMW kept parking up on my front lawn as there was no fence at the time. Sad for him, there must have been glass or nails or something as when he came back, two tyres were flat. Felt very sorry for him as he didnt have his locking wheel key and took 4 hours to get his key and get the repair company out.😂. Never saw him again……

I know they are within their rights but I have mixed feelings about so-called “auditing”. It just seems like provocation in many cases to get You Tube clicks. Filming outside say, GCHQ, seems very questionable to me.

Horrible driving and vile passenger. Happened to me recently and two guys in a car in a 20 limit close passed, then emergency stopped, hand gestures, the lot… I was doing 20mph on my bike (GPS computer). I caught them at the lights and asked the driver and his passenger why they were behaving like that… he said “it was for my safety”. I just dont understand drivers mentality… we all have rights to us the roads but many drivers think cyclists shouldnt be there.

There was a very nasty crash involving a bicycle and car at one of the entrances to Richmond park this morning and I didnt see anyone filming as the police were there, but about 25;minutes later, an air ambulance landed just inside the park and there was a huge crowd or walkers and cyclists filming…being kind, lets say they were just filming the helicopter but it still seemed off to me and this poor sod was being loaded in and clearly in a bad way.
4
@sahhull untrue
3
Omg…thats awful and explains it
3
I think many drivers see cyclists as illigitimate road users or certainly inferior and annoying. I get regularly close passed and I am certain non of them ride bikes on the road or they would be far more careful and aware of how vulnerable cyclists are.

Happened to my Dad whos reg was cloned and put on a stolen car that was involved in a bank robbery about 140 miles from where he lived.
2
Well said and yes, we all pay for the roads and all have equal rights to use them (legally).
2
They dont care
2
Totally agree.
2
80%….. you pulled that « stat » straight out of your exhaust pipe.
2
Well done. Its really bad in roadworks and especially average speed check. It has happened to me…people trying to push you…I put my car on cruise control to 50 and keep left when I can but if someone tailgates it really annoying.
2
Even better, have tech in cars so phones can only be used for emergency services calls when the engine is running.
2
As the old saying goes: its easier to fool someone than to convince them they have been fooled.
2
Me too…it was actually really helpful and has made me a better driver.
2
In France, if you get to zero points (you start with 12 and they deduct points per offence ), you get an automatic ban of 6 months. You have to take a retest.
1
What? Anyone can film anyone in a public place but till and camera data is held securely.
1
@hannahjames3180 so MPs and Ministers should be able to get away with breaking the law? Thats a pretty big generalisation.
1
@Trevor_Austin exactly
1
You put yourself in a prosecutable positon. You are responsible for your vehicle and to obey the highway code.
1
I assume the same applies for cycles and motorbikes?
1
Van driver made a mistake but Vine should have held back.
1
This bus driver is a danger to the public. Send it to the police and the bus company. There is no excuse for this horrendous impatience and driving without due care.
1
She is a natural woman from birth. Social media is nasty and people who jump on the bandwagon of lies are despicable.
1
Typical arrogant and agressive Range Rober driver. Hope the police prosecute him/her.
1
@liamforrester465 yes… watch out for stupid cretinous maniac speeding drivers😂
1
When I was a student, my landlord turned the gas meter around so it ran backwards…. Until it went back before the last reading…. Then he was in panic mode.
1
A guy in his car did this to me on friday in a 20mph limit..i was doing around 18 mph and I could feel him really close behind, then passed super close despite oncoming traffic and squeezed me right into the kerb. We were approaching a junction and the lights were on red so he gained nothing other than scared me and nearly knocked me off. It happens all the time.
1
Really shameful driving. He cut the learner up because he is a bully and has zero patience.
1
I got pulled over by the police in the USA in Vail, Colorado, for skiing too fast on the piste. There was no one around but they didnt like my speed 😂
1
I see what you mean😊
1
Omg…every cyclist knows cycling on motorways is illegal.
1
The cyclists were in their lane. The car wasnt and looked to be going way too fast for the conditions anyway so for me its a fair cop.
1
Same here…a friend of my Mum went toma party, got drunk and slept in the car. Was woken by the police, breathalized and arrested. Lost his licence. Rough but thats the law as you are technically in charge and of course you could well have been driving drunk before deciding to take a nap.
1
Meaning what? She was born a woman, has a uterus. Its Musk and Rowling and their stupid ilk making claims with no evidence.
1
These so-called « cycle lanes » with a painted white line are worse than useless…they actually encourage close passing.
