  5. Totally right. I was an amateur boxer for 12 years and only once had to use it when two guys attempted to mug me. Other than that I would avoid trouble like the plague.

  7. It really dismays me. What are red lights for then? Are they merely « advisory »? I cycle for exercise several times a week and I drive as well. I see this all the time… you go through a green light and vehicles that clearly should have stopped at the opposing red keep flying through regardless. That bus clearly went through a red light and it was pure luck he didnt hit the cyclist. The video should go to the bus company and the driver reprimanded as a minimum.

  10. The main road through my borough has a cycle lane, covered in broken glass, debris etc and parked cars up and down. If you arent in the lane (its a 20 limit and I cycle around 20mph) you get beeped and shouted at by motorists and if you are in the lane and have to pull out to avoid obstacles, you get shouted at by motorists.
