Both were convicted of supporting attacks on the U.S. military while they were still in Iraq as well as attempting to provide material support to al-Qaeda in Iraq after they emigrated to the United States. Arrests were made on various charges, including "attempting to provide material support to terrorists and to al Qaeda in Iraq".
Before entering the U.S., both had used improvised explosive devices in Iraq, although this was not known at the time of their admission. Both pleaded guilty; one is serving a life sentence while the other is serving 40 years in federal prison.
The two did not attack anyone in the U.S., and there was no evidence that the men traveled back to Iraq or had any contact with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant after being admitted to the U.S. Neither was charged with plotting attacks inside the United States.<<

No I'm focused on MSM because they keep pretending to be reliable reporters of the main news, but in reality are propaganda outlets for very specific and delusional political agendas. But I realize your position has merit. The only thing might motivate your engagement, judging by how our conversation began, could be the police corruption and abuse of power.
Imo this problem stems mainly from corrupt leaderships higher up in the force. I believe that in turn is based on political corruption in government being so commonplace, the representatives are almost all willing to weaponize both the administrative and executive branches for their own improved positions, and in the rat-race they simply stopped caring about the detrimental effects on the population as a whole, which corruption alway have.
They think themselves smart for talking glibly and lying with facility, because they're "winning", but the ensuing erosion of trust and confidence with the people is horrendous.
At the current state of affairs, it'll take three decades to merely turn the trend towards trustworthy governing. And the only factor ensuring this process is the insistence by the people that justice and truth prevails.
Nothing viable and worthwhile can be build on lies and delusions. Lies and delusions build only debt, misery, drug cartels and stagnation.
