The less taxes there are, the better run a country is
11
🤦♂️
11
As if Canada didn't have enough land area ..
11
As a non-native speaker ironically the countries where I had the biggest problems understanding spoken language and being understood were Australia and Ireland ..
11
Same goes for a lot of other countries. The people that travel are usually the openminded, intelligent ones. The first times I visited Canada, Australia and NZ have all been letdowns, cause the Aussies, Canadians and Kiwis you meet traveling are usually adventurous, fun and easy going. Then you visit those countries and man are they stiff and have ridiculous HSE regulations.
10
That is what socialistic regimes do. Same in Cuba, Soviet Union, former Eastern Germany ..
10
@freyagrayden9851 Its crazy that a country that seemed to be very sane and normal only a few years back suddenly went full totalitarian.
10
Did Andrew get a divorce? That'd explain a few things about the last few vids
10
It sounds all well and good but how do you handle the heat though?
10
From a European perspective, this is probably the worst US president possible. I suspect a lot of the foreign meddling that he did under Obama to resume, i.e. Ukraine, Libya, Syria, just to mention a few on our periphery.
10
@LetsDoItOldSchool The gulf countries have way higher humidity in addition to the heat. Its not dry heat like some desert countries.
10
As someone who had similar experiences, I can empathise with that

NZ has a much better image internationally than it really it. (Yes, the landscape is fantastic, but ...) The country is full of hypocrisy. It prides itself on civil liberties but there are A LOT of taboo subjects which you cannot really talk about. Basically, you have to agree with the leftist mainstream and their government in public and your work place. A lot of conformism going on. The work ethic is also mediocre at best. I found people to basically cherish their private activities, hobbies, tending to work little with not exactly high quality standards and tending to shut up about the problems in the country, they'd rather go to the pub for a couple of pints (which is ok but not to drown your own frustration with your own situation).

God I miss the free internet of the 90s!
9
For imperialist overseas actions like banker and oil corporation wars, destabilization of countries and regime change?
9
Cape Town is great if after a fantastic five course meal with great wines you like to get mugged and stabbed on the way home
9
Being a westerner I actually much prefer Malaysia. The street food is awesome and one can walk around without dying of heat (Dubai is not really livable outside of buildings or cars).
9
I always had the feeling UK is the worst in terms of government overreach actually in Europe. Nowhere else did I have to submit ideological statements or disclose my sexual orientation or what I consider to be my "race" (whatever that is) to my employer but in UK universities this is normal even in STEM fields.
9
We do. But you can't be a 500lbs blue haired land whale 😅
9
As a beginning entrepreneur the cost of living, especially rent, in those places will eat you up alive.
9
@markhazzard9730 To me its synonymous, but fair point.
9
Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan have all been awesome. HK used to be great too! My worst experience ever .. it is true .. I had with Air New Zealand .. I had payed extra for more legroom and was sitting at the emergency exit when just before take off a stewardess came and told me i had to move to a different seat as i as a man was not allowed to sit next to a teenager. First they basically tell you they think youre a pedophile, then i only got a normal seat and no refund on that, and then on top of it all my luggage never arrived at the destination and it took another full day at that airport to get that documented and file for some, tiny compensation of only around 150 NZD for the total loss of my luggage, which was worth like at least 20x that.
9
Wouldn't want to live in Monaco. You'd practically have to buy into that superficial lifestyle there and be in a golden jail. No real freedom.
9
This is awesome!

@tronwars7130 As a white european who has worked for a while in NZ (not work&travel but a real job), my impression was that the country has some real issues (lack of career opportunity, racial relations, gender relations, "only women are good") and it is not really possible to voice concern publically over these as that would lead to social stigmatisation. So everyone just tends to shut up and try to work as little as possible (As an ambitious guy, I found work ethic to be rather poor) and go out into nature but also to drown frustration in overeating and overdrinking (hence the obesity epidemic). To me this was a shock as I found overseas Kiwis to be rather different, a much more happy and hardworking bunch. Is that somewhat accurate?

@speicherkanal4894 A weak/failed government is a blessing in disguise
8
Go to a country with 0% income tax 0% capital gains
8
@jim-ce5kt Are you on location and fighting? Or are you a pathetic guy sitting on the sidelines and cheering people on to die? Disgusting!
8
@Twitch760 Oh boy .. 😂😂😂 .. Some folks are really nuts .. Everyone who doesn't share my opinion is a bot 😂
8
With those sort of requirements I'd rather go straight to Singapore ..
8
you sound like a leftist
8
And folks from the US have to audacity to call Russia or China communist .. LOL!
8
who wouldn't be
8
An old joke: EMTs load a critical patient into the truck and start driving. Keep driving for a while. Pass the hospital. Patient is wondering and asking EMTs "But .. but where are we going!?" "To the graveyard" "BUT .. but I'm not dead yet!" "And we're not there yet!"
8
It's socialism there + discrimination of men
7
Let me guess .. its some very socialistic city
7
@Twitch760 This isn't a channel for mindless sheeple
7
Taxpayers of the member states
7
It's been like this for two decades. Germany has an oversupply of physicians therefore salaries are depressed, whereas Switzerland doesn't train enough of their own, so there is quite the physician migration going on. The salaries in Switzerland have been going down quite a bit as well due to that compared to twenty years ago, which has caused some resentment from Swiss doctors.
7
@JonnyMReck It has nothing to do with "elitists" its simply paretos principle in action in a free market
7
SA needs to be isolated internationally
7
A huge victory for human civilization itself!
7
Andrew helping to keep me on track grinding towards my goals with a video every single day! Thanks!
7
IMHO working on the beach is just as overrated as sex on the beach (not the drink). Sand doesn't really mix well with either.
7
Actually when Trump got elected the world got a lot more peaceful! Now it will be the opposite again!
7
Very sketchy place. Several famous international transplant surgeons have spoken out against this and suspect China to pre screen prisoners and then execute them "on demand" for such surgeries as the likelyhood of finding a suitable donor is just zero in those timeframes of a few hours.
7
@simonpeter9617 doesn't affect you unless you join one .. mexico city is safe .. can walk around at night .. no problems
7
@augustojosegarciareyes6997 The risk is extremely low. Almost free gains. Either we return to normal or get nuclear annihilation, in that case I don't need to care about my bottom line :)
6
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is 👍
6
@spermshopper5713 It should say Banana republic anyway :)
