  1. The S300 Iran owns is the export variant of the S300. It is definitely not as capable as the variant Russia uses for it's own armed forces. I doubt Iran was able to replicate the S400

  3.  @piotrd.4850  Poland doesn't rely that much on Soviet Air Defenses. They have a much more modern airforce that would primarily be tasked to protect the Polish airspace. Given the F-16s they have - there are enough technicians, pilots etc... for the US to replace every loss of those aircraft with F-16 Block 70s if needed. A much more capable aircraft than all of the Russian legacy fighters which have hardly seen any technological modernisation. As for the size of the armed forces - while Poland has a smaller number, they all receive more training and are all volunteers, not conscripted. This typically means they spend far longer and receive a better education - meaning they are more useful soldiers. In the event of a war, there would be mobilisation and I know Polish boys - they will join voluntarily giving a boost in numbers, morale. Poland will have enough soldiers to stop any advance and have enough time to train reservists and conscripts and could launch a counteroffensive in the following months.

The S500 capabilities aren't known, I would also think they can outdo S500 with THAAD. Ka52M, by what metrics is this superior to the Apache. Kalibr, how is this superior? Tor and Pantsir have shown how bad they were in Syria. Russias Birth rate is lower than Germany's, Britains for example. Russia may be debt free but it is not comparably wealthy as the US are.

Nowadays you won't have to burn Favelas to the ground. France could absolutely cause staggering losses to the Brazilian trade routes.

  13. It all depends how much preparation time there is. Let's say we have 10 years of deteriorating relations with possible outbreaks of war. If Germany then decides to put more for defense, then Germany can outspend France.

  14.  @dexlab7539  Sorry but you are thinking on wrong assumptions. 1. Ukraine is loosing territory at a very slow rate right now. A few dozen square kilometers at max per week. That is extremely little for all the effort. You can look at the maps and see that the frontline is virtually static right now. 2. Russia does not use 1/6 of their army. Their entire active personnel numbers 1,000,000 troops. That includes Ground Forces, Air Force, Navy, Missiles Troops and Airborne. Airborne and missile troops have 50,000 soldiers each; the Navy some 150,000 and the Air Force 150,000 troops. The Russian ground forces number around 300,000 active duty soldiers. Support units (logistics, medical etc) make up the rest. That means not 1/6th of Russian soldiers are in Ukraine but rather about half.

  16.  @EaizePeazy  1. Russia doesn’t have nearly enough ballistic missiles to kill of the Ukrainian military. The military structures are intact, their command headquarters are protected and whilst the opening salvo cost them heavily, it did not disrupt them too much. A missile can only be used once and only carries a few tons of explosives. You need dozens or more to reliably take out an airfield for a short period! You overestimate conventional missiles. Too expensive for the buck - only armed with a nuclear warheads they become devastating

  21. You know, we lost machinery but not because of fierce resistance but because of terraine!!! Altogether, we lost less than in the Westfeldzug vs France, Britain, Netherlands and Belgium. Much less, 10k in Poland vs 100k in the west. Molotovcocktails were deployed by the finnes for the first time in the winter war between them and the sovjets, not from the polish :DDDDDDD. I recommend you read some literature about WW2. Yes, PzI and II were weak but we gradually improved our tanks. Still, we won, you lost within 4 weeks.

The main fighting in Poland was done after 18 days. Westernplatte was a fortress, everybody behind metres of concrete endures longer. Germany didn't fight a war in 1920, Germany did not exist in 17th century. We won some wars if we weren't fighting the rest of the world, namely 1871 when we fucked the french.

  24. We existed but not united. But nowadays, our country is economically stronger, even militarily stronger, politically more influencial and had been so in the past. Everybody knows german inventors, scientists, musicians, artists, culture in general. Nobody bats an eye for Poland and you said you were here longer. Well, we had a lasting impact.

We had one called hoy roman empire (though it was more a loose nation), then we have had Austria Hungary (who have been germans for centuries), we have had Prussia and after 1871, we got some empires aborad, whilst you were part of Russia and we were independent. We lost but it took the entire globe 6 years to bring us down. And without the USA abd Russia combined, we would have won, we conquered almost all of Europe 1939-1941 (before German-Russian war). Historians do agree nowadays that it was not Germany alone for the cause of WW1. That lie was introduced to justify the reparations to the winners of Versailles. We committed war crimes. No doubt. But war crimes were committed by all sides. Shooting of POW's, civilian bombings. Rape, forced migration. Partisan warfare (war crime, yes, it is forbidden by international laws). Poland did not have a full force to liberate the netherlands. It was a handful of people. And do not forget the polish who fought for the Wehrmacht, helped to run the death camps (the german death camps). Not all polish were heros, most were not. I don't mind a teutonic empire, I am one. As for the mongols, you got beaten but luckily, the Khan died. You did not win a single battle against them. by the way, it was a joint polish-german force, according to Wikipedia. You helped Austria win the war, but not alone. You were great but shortly after, you collapsed. Now the Germans are the great nation of Europe. The USSR was in no condition to win a war against Poland in 1920. Germany would have beaten them up, we did in 1917. You saved yourself, not Europe.

Ukraine would mainly use those cruise missiles as stand off ammunition - keeping their fighters well out of the range of Russian SAM systems and making use of Storm Shadows high range. Russian SAM systems got varying ranges; the longest ones are the S400. They use a variety of missiles, the highest range being the 40N6 missile. It got a large range of some 400 kilometers but, and there is the but, only against the slowest and most unmaneuverable targets; namely tankers, AWACS and cargo. A 40N6 is massive. At the end of the range, it doesn’t have the speed and manoeuvrability to compete with a fighter jet that can continuously regain energy. It simply doesn’t work to fight fighters at such ranges. Not with current missile technologies.

If you remember, you were talking about how useless Storm Shadow would be because the UAF would get shot down so fast. I told you why that won’t be the case. The R37 got a range of 150 - 300 kilometers. But as I said previously, such ranges are only working against less agile targets, even if the missile uses a second rocket engine in terminal attack mode. Fighter jets are just too nimble at such ranges. What range where those Ukrainian jets shot down by the way? Doubtful it’s 300 kilometers or even 200. Probably much closer.

  38.  @HoriTheRed  It isn't an oversee territory, it is France and EU territory. They send representatives into the French government, they pay taxes to the French government. The EU treats Guyana as a EU Territory too. NATO might not be involved if the case would be like the Falklands and the fact that Guyana isn't in the north atlantic.

  40. Mate, don't talk crazy. How would France go down in 3h? France and Britain are strong military nations, both have nukes, both have extensive experience in warfare. What does a battle in 1915 have to do with the modern world? The ottoman empire was for the last century of its existence weak. It was only propped up because other nations feared Russia would profit the most.
