In Newcastle, Penzance is ‘far west’. In Plymouth, it’s just down the road. In New York, California is the 'far west'. In Nevada, it's only across the state line.

  48.  @stevec6427  They would, however, be subject to English control of the pound and all that entails. Smaller €USSR countries suffer from German dominance of the €Uro. One is not fully independent without control of currency, as €Urope is finding out.
