Could it not be argued then that the start was Bush II not standing up when Russia sliced off parts of Georgia p?
51
Well they are at war with someone who actually has a signed alliance so...
24
Well they held onto Ukraine for a good while...
12
Because those weren't over cities and built up areas creating firestorms which send soot up into the stratosphere (which actually wouldn't happen on the required scale anyway)
11
How else will they repay their loans?
10
oh wow, it would be impossible for the road to change
10
Cool, so why hasn't the UK given Ukraine a security guarantee yet?
10
@Sgt.Hartman yes it is. He was extremely blase about Russia and made an infamously catty remark to Mitt Romney for warning about them.

Not off by over two decades!
8
I got the sense Lex was not too impressed.
8
attacking ships in territorial waters of neutral countries is kinda frowned upon.
8
@alexanderisg no, being obnoxious while incorrect by decades is not "generalising" it is just ignorant (and hilarious).
8
@alexanderisg clearly you have no knowledge if you are talking about the "Axis" instead of the Central Powers Alliance. Don't speak to people you do not know like that if you cannot be bothered getting your facts right.
7
@Skywatcher16 they aren't even using conscripts in Ukraine yet.
6
Things could escalate quickly from a relatively benign point
6
@DIREWOLFx75 Wow! So they managed to steal it while being trained on it at Fort Sill USA? Where the Ukrainian crews were actually trained? If you are going to bullshit, at least try to put a bit of effort in we aren't a captive audience.
6
Hysterical post. The kind that gets dug up and laughed a few years down the track.
5
@DavidLLambertmobile that is a capacity problem then which expanding to 24 hour operation would relieve.
5
@britishrocklovingyank3491 what a stupid irrelevant question. Early chapters of such books go into much mundane detail of the formative years of their subject. Have you ever read such a book before?
5
he had a much better time and didn't get whinged at
5
I think you're forgetting to explain why that is relevant
5
@angusmatheson9997 what does that have to do with Kamala Harris lying about being relatable?
5
@VanderlyndenJengold so weak...yet Putin had to wait until Biden was in before he was willing to make another move on Ukraine. Funny that.
4
In the Okinawa campaign a Marine general had to order the confederate flag be taken down from Shuri Castle after it was captured
4
@wg4154 oh it matters.
4
This comment section is akin to reddit during summer holidays
4
Yet no footage of her ever arguing a case...
4
Maybe you need to actually win stuff. Just a thought.
4
@RyanMcBethProgramming worse, she cherry picked those and Sagan acolyte Owen Toon's more recent claims that Nuclear Winter would be even more severe than they predicted.
4
@britishrocklovingyank3491 have you read the books? It is exactly what those types of texts go into.
4
@danielcamacho1913 came to say this, Israel has been repeatedly caught doing this even after they were caught in the nineties.
4
Well Zelensky already was on the PR front until he got put in his place.
4
About point 7, having voting on Saturdays and many many polling locations makes it a lot easier to access for working class people compared to UK and US (based on anecdotal discussions with expats) - Point 4 I completely agree with you and something must be done.
4
Why would that be relevant?
3
ok but...what if it works? Are you going admit you were wrong?
3
That is what the harvesting phase is for. You see what sticks then... unleash the Sophists
3
@Rob_F8F false.
3
@dineauxjones how often have barracks burned down as a result of that equipment being misused?
3
@marvindebot3264 unfortunately this is yet another ANZAC myth that Australian school children are taught - he never said this.
3
@ If people from other countries want to make demand s but not take a look at their own backyard that is pretty pathetic. And no, repaying a loan does entitle you to obligate another country into signing up for world war three. No one form any country should "dare" criticise the US when they wont put their own and their kid's lives on the chopping block.
3
@wknight5595 how many HIMARS and Patriot systems were left there?
3
OK generic profile started coincidentally at the start of the invasion.
3
Yeah, Nah.
2
@adamruddle6558 lol what? Their GDP has never cracked $200 billion USD and yes they did ask the UK how they could repay them.
2
lol they are not standing tall if they do not pay their share of the burden. And their contribution in Afghanistan was substandard.
2
@dubiumguy Should also be noted that Churchill was not the PM at the beginning of the war. Chamberlain lost a vote of confidence, something that Churchill narrowly avoided a few times during the war. Very different to Zelensky's rule of Ukraine.
2
@ what you are saying is false, either deliberately or just through ignorance. Read up on what actually happened and what was agreed.
2
@charlesmartin1121 pretty sure he doesnt have one
2
You need to learn the difference between "can't" and "won't". Had your old employer been referenced in a national story they would have pulled their archives. For you? Lol
2
@ so that is all you have to rebut the historical fact that Putin had to wait for a Dem POTUS to move against Ukraine again? Childish.
