@ the North Korean meme is a distraction. The NORKs are getting more out of that than the Russians - almost like North Korea expects to have to fight a large scale modern war in the near future.
2
You would care if you were running for POTUS and made yourself look like a casual liar. It would be enough to pull your social security records.
2
@insidious7329 sorry but where did I say my preferred candidate?
2
@seitengewehr98 lol what did you fight for? 'Terps being abandoned outside the gates of Kabul airport?
2
@peters-z8n turns out you were wrong.
2
@peters-z8n His identity was just released, Axel Rudakubana. So much for the "law".
2
@tristan7216 do you really enjoy mentioning that you worked for NASA once? Because I see no other purpose for you making that comment.
2
and? You realise many of our area measurements come from comparisons?
2
@lunachu8691 False.
2
Don't get hysterical.
2
That support was vital in the first days and is the reason why they didn't quickly fall, so these "officials" are full of shit.
2
How would you know that? Do you even know how many crayon factories are left in the US?
2
What did he just lie about? Let's drill down.
2
@Fanta.... no because then they would actually have to pay for their own defence.
2
@ oh yes, the vital freedom of navigation through the Danube. Europe is actually doing the US a big favour by underfunding their militaries!
2
@KijkEenVogel anything to avoid paying your share of defence spending eh? You should be ashamed of yourself.
2
@ChucksSEADnDEAD thanks for answering the question no one asked
2
lol what absolute crap
2
I live in a safe seat, so I write dirty jokes.
2
Because if there both proven liars it levels the field in that regard.
2
lol
2
@ we already had that in 1999 when we asked for US help with Indonesia and Clinton told us no.
2
@pogo1140 That is a not a security guarantee. A security guarantee is a commitment to expend the lives of their own citizens in a future war for Ukraine. If they are not willing to take that grave risk on their own they have no right to criticise.
2
As an Australian I think the time has come for you to grow up.
2
@MrCSeiberlin I agree with most of what you said but Ukraine was not "sold a bill of goods". They know how to read, they knew what was being promised and more importantly what was NOT being promised when they signed. Fact was they did not have working nuclear weapons and their economy was going to be absolutely ruined by sanctions by the time they got them usable so they traded them for what they could get at the time.
2
@hateferlife "Don't like? Don't join." and with those last four words you demonstrate that you miss the point completely.
2
Childish take.
2
@warmachineuk the problem is that Ukraine is owed nothing yet Zelensky believes it is owed and more. He previously had a similar incident with Biden in private and has been refusing to consider a peace deal thinking everything will just continue as it has been until he gets all of the territories back plus a security guarantee - none of which is going to happen. In those circumstances how do you end the war without applying pressure to the recalcitrant party?
2
@ which has been done which is why Putin is coming to the table.
2
@elliotthall6049 and the pub around the corner calls Fosters beer but that doesn't make it true. A servo is short for service station IE servicing a driving clientele.
2
Already is and developments are being closely followed by the UN - they recently reported that the first case of an AI deciding to kill a human took place in Libya 2021
2
@jimness5902 are you an adult?
2
@allangibson8494 totally missed the point there sweetie, try again!
2
Cool story bro
1
"biggest electoral promise" what have you been smoking?
1
so you dont think Biden was gambling with American lives when defying severe warnings form Putin that it could lead to nuclear war? Or was that ok because it was your team?
1
what do you think would be a better idea?
1
@DimitryNZ thing about defence spending is that if you go cheap on it and rely on your allies to do all of the heavy lifting (eg New Zealand not bothering with fighter planes) you could eventually end up losing a lot more housing when you get invaded.
1
@DimitryNZ ok, the thing is that we have been let down very badly by European arms contractors. We are nowhere near blameless, however as mentioned the subs were shockingly behind and the helicopters while showing great initial promise have also had serious failures to the point where the Tigers completely missed our War on Terror deployment. We have been forced to buy American helicopters with inferior (stated) capabilities because the European ones have been abject failures. Your claim about it being a rule in politics not to touch the Americans does not touch the sniff test as if true we would never have gone to Europe to source arms in the first place and as far as subsidising US industry...their shipyards building the subs are already over capacity.
1
@DimitryNZ wow it's great that you can predict the future Dimitry! Of course China is pouring money into a Blue Water navy solely to chug up and down their coast, they have shown no interest in projecting power into the Indian Ocean or South Pacific where our sea lanes are! As far as comparing it to NZ military budget... really?
1
Chess or not trump is the one doing the talking because your country is not doing much to help anyway. So...
1
How would you handle it?
1
Cool so you don't want the big new American base? You speak for everyone there, right?
1
Also Poland has had a much more contentious relationship with Ukraine during this war, so convenient for you to forget that.
1
@ lol he's a German, the place where citizens get arrested for commenting on a fat politician's weight and cops get stabbed to death while trying to stop an AfD worker from defending themselves from a terrorist.
1
Watch it again. You seem to have missed the point. The hard points.
1
Yeah except Putin only launches invasions when Dem presidents are in, so that is a load of shit.
1
@Holtijaar that does not translate into him being leader the entire time. It isn't "fully legal" that is a distortion on your part.
1
Or might give him impetus to escalate.
1
@jesuszamora6949 oh you think that level of escalation? Bless your heart.
