+thegingergamer In fact those epic battles also are long and boring work.. they look cool only on paper.
135
@sarasvensson4586 Maybe you didn't notice but Russia and USA (aka they did the same) are also involved. I absolutely agree that situation in China is bad and I agree why pressure should be put to solve those issues. But saying that they should not be allowed on principle is something absolutely self-righteus. That is not how you make world better place.
47
@johndanger8717 Those are "the political reasons". But in long run war over space would not be good for anyone.
41
@Dr_Do-Little Yup. It is obvious scam!
36
@sarasvensson4586 I did "look it up" and I still see that you are a hypocrite. I'm not defending Chinese, but you are clearly biased against them. "So please reference anything in the 20th century that would even compare with the millions of people that the CCP have killed" Ughm? Like Soviet Purges? I know that your bro Trump is mush mush with Putin. But fact that you not see that is hilarious. On top of that should I remind American Drone policy? Or Russia invading Ukraine what was compared to Anschluss? Also I tell you a secret. US and China fight over shared market. China doesn't really have business with Russia and they station is beyond reach of Bajkonur. I personally wouldn't be also surprised that after Russia step out, we could find that we will have one station again (ISS2), when two stations join together, throwing out some old Russian modules.
35
It has some hilarious screw ups, but that semi-hard stule is so rare it is still quite decent.
31
Well, we can't say that design itself has no value. Problem is that I see video games with better designed space stations then that! Seriously! Center of Van Buran space station is worst place ever, with really high rotation and unequal gravity. It is where you place structural parts and infrastructure. This obvious scam place there majority of the mass with the dock. WTF? If you use center it should rotate counter-wise in order to crate zero gravity zone for docking. Not fucking spin like carousal! Do they plan suicide runs or something?
23
It has some hilarious screw ups but overall it is nicely done neo space opera.
20
@sarasvensson4586 Yeh, classic fascist propaganda: "Germans didn't try kill Jews. Nazis did! They aren't the same @o@" Oh, no! They absolutely are! People are people, we need change ourself first to preach others next. And what I see now is only your own denial.
17
It is why most people presume it is a scam. There is a difference between passion project and really seeking founds for a pipe dream.
17
Best thing in that game is fact that it take place in "colonization of Solar System" period, and because of that ships are less advance then in other space games. But that is advantage! Ship are far more realistic, with spinning crew quarters, engines on both sides, and all side cannons. I love that!
16
And then moving from circular "onion" design to "flat" design.
16
I guess he is a idiot..
15
Except it obviously fail.. it is like something what ten years old could come up with..
13
I hope they correct flaws of the original. Still great game though.
12
Sun is basically a open fusion reactor. Photons are least dangerous things it emit. As for moon landing first movie actually was fake, but only because original mission didn't have proper camera. Of course moon landings themselves did take place, simply because Soviets never denied this fact and they absolutely did watch everything what happen there with radio telescopes. People who use Van Allen belts as arguments are idiots who probably also think that Earth is flat.
12
That alpha..is an alpha.
12
+KerbalEssences They don't need to. They have far more better machine.
10
Definitely, but the clear difference is that it focus on survival mechanic instead on mobility. And that is generally a great trade off. Both games have something to offer, in opposition to many other clones what offer same shit, just generally more poorly executed.
10
Evilmike42 You missing the point is legendary.. what is what he siad.
10
@jonahhekmatyar You missing the point. ESA work with NASA. Largest problem of ESA is not a cash, but the geography. They basically can only launch things from small French colony in South America. From Europe point of view, development of satellites is far more important then the launch vehicles. They literally can use Falcon 9, if needed. ESA is in fact a huge powerhouse in zone of things what already are in space.
10
@FotoschoPro It is other way around.. it is Meltdown what is easy to fix. Spectre definitely isn't and it affect AMD, but AMD fanboys ignore that.
9
You are aware that it is a remake? They intend to please old fans, not "take EVE".
8
It is bit complicated, as that is actually a misconception. Takara upgraded ball joint figures acquired from Hasbro, discovering that due to flexibility they can turn into things. What lead to development of Diaclone and Micro Change series. First was mostly standard mecha (original Japanese version has small pilot figures) when other was about miniature people turning into household objects. Hasbro reacquired those toys and also licensed several copy cat designs (Jatfire was famously based on VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross, what become a problem when show was licensed and so toy license could not be renewed). Hiring Marvel to write the lore. It was actually Marvel who created Transformers from several unrelated series. What later was licensed back by Takara.
8
It is obviously a scam 0-0
8
@deathwatch27 Considering that video games have better designs I doubt 0_0
7
Seriously? The thing is that SE is purely about building the ships. That is why it has simplified crafting. You need only few machines to make all parts automatically. And then you build simply inserting them. This game on the other hand is pure survival. It has flaws because I don't think that mining work in this scenario. But fact that you need manually put cables and automate everything is quite significant.
7
@r3dp9 Coal is indisputable as we do have clear traces of plant remnants in coal. Only origin of oil is still open to debate. "but it's not uncommon for centuries of "fact" to turn out to be a misunderstanding" What also isn't leverage for any case. We still need solid proves to debunk something what already was partially proven. And simple fact that mining is unrealistic in this game.
7
Dude, it isn't quantum physic. We do know that it would work. Problem is that it is obvious scam. Even in The Expanse rotary gravity was a big deal and for a reason.
7
Definitely not. It is quite detailed but it is basically modern day tech used in not modern scenario. I'm almost sure that Mars mission would be first space-assembled ship (in a way how ISS was assembled). Here for some reason everyone still fly in space cigarettes for some reason? Also weapon placement is horrendous.
6
Large enough.. people usually are unaware how big planets really are.
6
@maximilianyuen That is basically get go explanation for most SF stories.
6
Unlikely, but it would be obvious jumping point for future projects.
6
Is that one question? Monopropellant is used in RCS (maneuver engines) so huge control over thrust is more important then power.
5
@Rasgonras Do I say anything else?
5
@Nano T I'm not sure that is relevant here? Bugs are normal for Beta's not mention even Alpha's, because that is well.. the point. In case of NMS they clearly didn't fulfilled promises. But in case of SC progression look solid.
5
" "What is the most realistic FTL drive" is the exact same question as "what is the most realistic type of magic spell". It's impossible according to everything we know." Precisely! There is few theoretical models, but equally about the God.
4
***** My only complain about maneuvers is that everyone should be in seat.
4
Tuomas Salomäki Again, about what the hell you are talking about? If that most Space Opera ships have retarded internal design then yes, but again? What your point?
4
@dave8599 ISS is over twenty years old and already started falling apart. Future repairs of station would cost insane amount of money and it was decided that resources would be moved to Lunar Gateway planed for Mars program. Whole debates about boosting is purely for museum preservation. In a sense fact that whole thing happen close to ISS decommission was a good thing. USA is now interested again in space exploration, so Russia is not needed anymore and most likely would be booted from Gateway, as they module can be easily replaced.
4
They aren't perfect, but it is first almost perfect mix of real science and adventure, from golden age of Star Trek.
4
@itswift Do anyone is surprised? Space X and Origin barely come out from ground and they promising something what NASA can't deliver, when only advantage of private companies is that they can make it cheaper. It is obviously a scam, like selling spots in heaven.
4
@Molo900 "Billion dollar lawsuits coming Intel's way." Those lawsuits would be rejected anyway.
4
@B-Bunny Gaming "They are just pissy because they are Intel fanboys." Say a AMD fanboy regard people saying the truth (at least regard the Spectre).
4
@randombloke82 And I'm glad that there are smart people on You Tube ;D
4
Many so called "simulators" are cheesy out of ass games, but this one in fact quite well simulate inner-working of the occult (at least from mystery novel). And I never would believe that it is possible to simulate anything with the cards before that. Call my positively surprised.
4
@joost199207 It could be also slow approach tactic. Basically you show up on horizon, and then gradually come closer. So people would not be taken by surprise. Obviously they would react to reaction of approached specie accordingly. Directly flying on Earth would probably end with mass nuclear response, and for quite obvious reasons. So in short, we learn in future. But if you ask my they probably always were here. Especially because lack of FTL suggest von Neumann probes, and they generally work by autonomously building network activated when something interesting show up.
4
You are aware that it is how most things are done everywhere? You do plans and calculate if they work and some would work and maybe would be also financially valid.
4
@dr.zoidberg8666 Even if you aren't technically incorrect, this whole thing is obvious bullshit. And because it probably involve more then dozen people, at least some of them need to be aware that it found they new Ferrari.
4
@mcearl8073 Take a note that not every scam is well planed and despite that some people fall in most ridiculous offers (after all they already did make some money). Also if you ask my, this whole thing is bunch of passionate Sci-Fi fans trying fulfill own dreams and jump-start research (despite the fact that it already is a thing). Problem is that it potentially could take money from more valid projects and end in someone packet, as they clearly have no idea what they are doing.
