being "needed" is suck a ridiculous concept.
people need to RISE to opportunity, perform action where there IS a need.
yeah its nice to be appreciated, but when what a person is offering is NOT needed, NOT WANTED , people have to pivot.
EXPECTATION is a killer for so many people. and gender expectation of "masculinity" is ridiculous.
the entire concept of TOXIC masculinity is that there IS a HEALTHY "masculinity" , NOT that ALL "masculinity" is toxic.
----------
gut the systems that are generating a air of expectation.
aka.... get rid of meritocracy, marketing, competitiveness(in regards to livelihood), capitalism, consumerism, archaic unjust hierarchical traditions....etc.

that's a tough one... "what you are worth" ...
hope you are paying your employees what they are worth.... similarly charging your customers what your products are worth.
but i do have to ask.... what do you define as "what your are worth"?
hope your endeavors are moral, ethical, for the betterment of the planet, for the betterment of all communities, and not just profiteering off peoples needs, or satisfying detrimental lusts.

by definition business is done for profit. profit being ABOVE worth, "value added" and all that. there aren't too many variables to balance out to get that cream called profit.
- reduce costs : cheaper quality in material, skeleton crews, squeezing one employee to do more than one persons worth of job, not providing benefits (medical, pension, 401k )
- increase prices : price gouge when times are tough because of 'demand', inflate prices in general to buffer when 'markets' get down, artificially manage supply as a way to increase 'demand' as an excuse to 'justify' price increases, put the burden of employee raises directly on customers via things like arbitrary 'service' fees.
-expand your market : get more customers (1,000 customers @ $10 per product ) OR get different customers (10 customers @ $1,000 per product )
