I wished Ukraine did a gulf war style hook through Russia. Bypass all the mines and fortifications to suprise the Russians before coming back around towards the lines from behind. Yet that would have stopped western support and all types of issues. Which is pure BS. Ukraine having to fight a bigger opponent with its hands tied. Anyway it is all crazy these days. I just hope they don't make any stupid choices and destroy half their army in one swoop.

People thinking the director is responsible for every location an ex POTUS goes is crazy. She took the fall for her lackeys slip up.

I would like to use this moment to say Afghanistan only is still a country due to the mercy of the nations that invaded it. The cowardly fighters like the Taliban think they are brave, but they fought from the shadows knowing their enemy shows mercy. Imagine if we let our soldiers and generals go to war without rules or politics holding them down. The country would have been secure. Albiet there would have been few fighting age men left, because any suspected terrorist would have been killed or had their fighting arm maimed as to never be able to hold an AR correctly again. They ambush a convoy. You blow up a village. Personally I think war is ugly, and you have to be brutal yourselves to win. Throwing your soldiers into combat zones, and telling them you can only react to things, instead of taking the initiative is just folly. It is asking to lose.

You know what?? I think those countries need to concede, and allow a trade path with a small tax at most. Maybe a small yearly payout. Not sit there, and basically hold their goods hostage, and try to milk them for every cent. Afterall BOTH countries would benefit. It would be similar to how the EU works with trade. Or get invaded, and a port taken by force. If there is a war I can understand it. Ethiopia is on the rise, and flexing aren't they? First with Egypt, and now this. What is funny is if Egypt ever attacked Ethiopia? I would understand that too. I guess taken Djiboutis ports are out of the question due to all the foreign bases there.

@gustavohopkins242 Polar Bears would hardly be noticed if they died out or effect anyone. I mean they basically are already. I'm not sure I see your point outside it sucks. Many mega fauna have died out in the last 10k years even before industrialization.

@EllissDee4you4me Well better if you can use it. I know a million random things. Random trivia. Which is trivial. Its not important or useful wether I know how to work a RPG. I'll never have one. Or how ASLM and TSMC are basically irreplaceable. ASLM newest machine uses c02 lasers to fire at a fast moving droplet of tin that vaporizers it mid air to create UV light 50,000 times a second which hits the silicon wafer which is photosensitive creating the pattern in what you want. I'll never use this information. It's more for my enjoyment, but it would be a million times better to specialize and focus on something to make it practical to use in my life. Knowledge might be power, but wisdom is knowing how to use it.

They actually had an option to switch to nuclear if desired if I remember. Yet one. They wouldn't get subs till 2035. Then the French company was hacked. Two the company at first said there would be a technological transfer so there was a bunch of shenanigans over that plus warranty disputes. (Whatever that means) Yet at first 90% of the subs would be built using Australian ship builders and industry. Then 60%! Then by the end of it the French company said the Australians manufacturing wasn't up to par at all, and wanted to basically build it all at home. The deal was crap. That last bit is the reason why I think Australia made the right move. Not only are they getting the technology and expertise themselves, but they more importantly will be manufacturing them mostly at home. Propping up all sorts of good paying jobs. We have seen with Russia geopolitics can swiftly change, and it is better to spend the extra money to build your own. Russia has to pay a premium now to get important pieces of manufacturing or struggling to build their own. Australia is still part of the world and being an isolated country these days only weakens you. Do Australians want the CCP to dominate the world? I know I don't. I use to think the West and America are bad for all the things we've do. Yet now that I'm older I realize the alternative is so so much worse.

Rare earth minerals are everywhere. It's just that it's stupidly expensive with Western pay to actually mine them so we let other countries who DGAF about environmental damage plus low labor. Then again maybe they are in higher concentrations or actually rare! I don't know! Tried googling and looks like billionaires are already in a gold rush for rights.

@osheridan @osheridan Nah even if US left they would fight amongst each other or slaughter each other. US only participated in it whether then destabilize it further. The war was about the Petrodollar IMO.
4
Should've asked the US! We stockpile various dairy products. For example we had 282 million pounds of butter stocked up in various places in 2022. Down 22% too from the previous year! Uncle Sam is also cheesy in more ways than one. He also keeps around 1.5 billions of various cheeses... No idea where. Wisconsin would be my pick. We also have a bunch of egg farms we keep running, but mainly for vaccines. Not sure where the unused eggs go. These are less about security, and more about keeping farmers farming. The farming lobby in the US is ridiculous. Farmers man. Always saying they are overlooked, say big government sucks, but don't mind pocketing all the handouts they receive Half our corn is used for Ethanol when it is bad for cars, and said to be worse for the environment! Anyway Norway is sort of smart. I think they sit on too much money.

Agreed but people would rather watch other things honestly. I am not hating on them but it is what it is.

Agreed. You'll like Sandboxx and Wendover Productions on YT as well. Very concise, and informative. Oh and these channels have supberb editing with no filler. If you know

I know the names. I knew this kid AJ who sold weed and was good friends with my friend and her brother. He was like a young scar face. None of his group were allowed in his house except for me, and I didn't know him too well. Everyone was like WTF why Law? I guess because I looked Armenian and didn't talk too much haha. I don't know why he took such a liking to me but he did. Anyway he was Armenian and I learned a bit of the culture. Good food and generous people.
2
@Rishi123456789 Yeah as the East has never gone on conquests or forced their beliefs on people. Eastern people are soooo peaceful and own the word. You sound ignorant.
2
Ha I am an American, and I like to blame the Welsh randomly for the worlds problem. What are they up to across the sea? Ever see their written language? Look it up, and tell me that isn't a heathen language straight from hell.
2
@PLPCPLAPD Yeah some things have helped me. Usually in social settings or academic. Somehow I blew an English teacher away knowing the word melee and a bunch of Latin or other various bits of history. Helped me pass because I didn't do homework which was 60٪ of my grade haha. Anyway yeah if you are going to learn something try learning something you'll use. I have a ton of free time due to medical issues and been reading up on it. If I ever get a liver or kidney transplant ill definitely have a small garden and I'm going to learn how to create my own soda.
2
@uzairsaeed6707 No country is perfect but Russia is causing a lot of issues in the world. Mainly for themselves. They should cut their losses and improve their own country. This war is totally unnecessary.
2
If the entire world tomorrow started war, and nukes weren't a thing. They could take the US if they put 100% effort into it over the course of decades. Like imagine every country going into a war time economy, just producing war goods. Then sending their men to SA and NA. Huge armies of soldiers from each country. Each country working together. After slugging through our Navy through attrition alone. Using all their civilian craft. Building drones. Inflatrating. Rebuilding anything we knocked out. It would be a massacre, and a war like no other. I just don't see us winning if the entire world put their mind into it with 100% effort. Second 100 year war!

90% of Africas problems are related to blood fueds. Even before colonization. It will probably continue until the sheer amount of corruption is gone. Spite and hate over rule common sense. And don't worry it is happening to North America as we speak. Trump is trying to start a civil war.
1
Geography my friend. It connects the west and the east. If one could actually subdue it and put up a puppet state they could profit from untapped resources and have a good buffer state. That is why empires always want it as it looks easy on paper but they misunderstand the culture. Apparently Afghans didn't seem to get that memo... Ever. They don't give a crap about any Empire unless its by their own.
1
@pizzzzzzzza8532 Agreed. I think it is as simple as this - ask the citizens of the island who they want to be. There problem solved. This bringing up the past and old ties from hundred plus years ago is nonsense. Especially when said countries have totally different goverments. It's like me walking to some states in America and places around Europe saying HEY ALL THIS? THIS BELONGS TO ME. This is my land as my people had it 100 years ago but lost it. Also I see your great grandpa might have also looted the grave and it's been in your family for two generations but it is of my fellow clan/tribe and so I am taking that with me too. Where's the meusam with all my shit? Also this lake here was where my family made a living so the town can no longer take water from it without paying me. That's how this BS is. Let the past be the past. They lost the islands so deal with it. Sore losers they are being.

Just got upgraded. Lasers are in the mix.

@charleschoy2327 Why do you keep posting this in every comment. I don't think you understand the complexities of water on this scale. You act like countries can catch all the rain of a specific area or that rain falls uniformly over an area. What are you proposing these countries do? Make 10,000 mile wide rain catchers?
1
Russias biggest enemy is Russia its self. They blame the West for manipulating and threatening East Europeans to join NATO.. When in reality Russia pushes these countries towards NATO with their antics. They are lining up because they fear Russia will take them over like they are doing now in the Ukraine... It is bizarre. They could have sat back and watched the West fight amongst themselves but instead are making the West stronger. Western Defense Industries should be sending Putin Birthday cards for all the extra money they are making! China is doing the same thing.
1
Now you're using LAZAAAHS! Much easier and cheaper. Seems like terrorists want to just bankrupt Israel because those missiles aren't expensive. I wonder if fortified homes are becoming a thing for those who can afford it. "This is the kitchen we have a nice view of the street outside and a garden and the glass can withstand a 50 caliber. Yet if you look above you can see the dome - 6 inches of steel reinforced concrete so you won't worry while making Zaydeea falafel, hah. Oh and the oven has a convection setting, and a great ventilator for stirfri. "
1
Yeah and judging just random decent sized land slides? A total impact would create one hell of a wave.. Wonder how deep the uhhh wave under the water would be and how fast it would travel.
1
Can't wait for society to be totally away from gas. It will take 50 years at least. Yet we are getting there. Once we electrify the gas fields in the West will be good enough to make plastic, or medicines. Even plastics can be made from biofuels like phytoplankton or algae. Anyway the US will no longer have to secure gas for the allies from Saudia Arabia. We can leave the middle east, and Russia behind. I wonder what the new black gold will be? What will be the next essential resource? Mark my words. Gallium prices will continue to sky rocket! Invest in it.

Ya know there comes a time where a group of people can stop blaming white men for their woes. Maybe look in the mirror, and say "Oh I'm the problem. My culture is.. Not some people thousands of miles away who made choices generations ago. Maybe I should stop supporting corruption in my own backyard. Stop digging my own grave." Bssically people are saying ex colonists are too ignorant to take precedence. Need a higher race to tell them what to do like a bunch of stupid children? Can't learn to make their own country work or rule themselves after 70 fucking years. People of these countries need to take responsibility for their own situation FFS instead of pointing fingers eh? Nah it is easier to blame white men and ask for more handouts. Then use said handouts to kill each other. They've had plenty of enough time to fix all of this. They don't. Instead they continue to repeat the same mistake. I'm not white either. I just don't blame history for my situation today. I work hard to at least make tomorrow better. I try to learn from history and BE better. This doesn't apply for people like Hong Kong or other recently abandoned countries in various places across the world. I know this comment won't change anything... It is easy playing the victim card instead of taking self responsibility.
1
Fun video. I wonder if you would actually see an asteroid before it hit the earth since they are traveling so fast. Ever see the ISS? BLINK and you miss it. There is a video that mimics the ISS speed on your phone and its just like byeeeeeee!

@KlausBahnhof Isn't that guy a shill with ties to Chinese companies? If you're looking for shore defense. Why even get any submarine? Just use missiles and air power at that point. The French deal was crap by the end. They actually did offer an option for nuclear.. However there were technnology transfer disputes. French were being greedy. Most important by the end of it they were trying to build the entire submarine themselves, and wouldn't deliver till 2035. At first 90% of the sub was to be built. Then 60%. Then they literally said Australias ship industry was not up to par. The Ukraine War has shown it is important for a country to have their own manufacturing base when it comes to defense. Geopolitics can a change swiftly, and you'll be left standing with equipment you cannot maintain or build yourself. Plus propping up your own industry with high well paying jobs is a bonus people forget. Diesel Submarines are garbage at anything other than protecting close by. They are stealthier, but sacrifice a lot. Seeing that there are no enemies near Australia? Just makes more sense to go nuclear. Or else like I said better yet to invest in land based stand off anti ship missiles and beef up the airforce. I'm glad Australia did the deal. I don't want to see the CCP dominating the world, and the US can't hold back those lying, manipulative, thieving sewer oil drinking pseudo communists. Chinese are the type to take all the candy in a bucket at Halloween when they are adults, and don't celebrate it.
1
Any specific changes to it? New or bad info change? "Hey we found a map of a territory we conquered three centuries ago, and wiped out the people. We lost it however when we were weak, and an entirely new nation. That land is ours!" I love how they always ridicule the west yet they do the exact same BS, but are worse. From being greedy to colonizing. I use to hate the West for the BS it has done. Yet now that I'm older I realize the alternatives are way worse.
1
@FigureOnAStick I believe there is a way to make it better quite easily and they do it Russia. I think they use a type of reindeer to graze on the land that will sprout grass. Or was it some type of buffalo? The explosions and sink holes are going to be massive for sure though and we will be able to figure out how to make the land arable. Technically rain forest soil is terrible and there are still farmers who make it work. Either way I foresee different farming methods anyway.
1
Yeah where is the water haha. Sorry there is still going to be a ton of rain. Will delicate evo systems collapse? Yes, but other plants will fill the void. Will crap be underwater? Yes. People will move to higher lands for sure or become New Orleans. This map doesn't seem to take into account currents or rain which is quite insane.

@somi6683 Congo is sitting on trillions of dollars worth of wealth but the country is a mess. Hydro electrical power isn't their issue but it is an issue if they are screwing over the environment for all affected.

TSMC itsself is nothing without western technology. ASLM comes to mind which is Dutch. Not sure what American technology is used outside the design/architecture of the chips themselves. Chips aren't going to get any smaller. It is good for the US security wise to maintain advance chips manufacturing just in case even if it will take time, and a crap load of money to catch up. If I were America I would try to snag top engineers from TSMC over by paying them better with better hours. With that said I can't blame Taiwanese for being concerned they might be open if the West was to catch up. Yet it is also hypocritical as they rely on the west to make their chips. Edit - Taiwan needs to get a ton of renewables, and go nuclear. The hell?
1
@dohss I wouldn't say not nothing. The West is about two generations behind. Five years if TSMC was to vanish. We'd still have most of our stuff working, but supply would be terrible. Since we are hitting the physical laws, and we can't get smaller. There are new technologies in the works that may allow US, China, and even Europe to leapfrog ahead. So TSMC better be the first to get them to work. The West better hope China doesn't crack them first either, because if that happens then they won't lose out on anything if TSMC is crushed.
1
How could you not know? It flows into the medeterrian? Or do you mean when it reverse flows? (Which I guess use to happen often). Crazy though that nearly all rivers flow north to south usually. I just realized that while looking at the main rivers that connect the two oceans to the Mississippi.
1
@ibrahimhassan711 Oh for sure..They can invade ya too. Funny how that works.
1
No you see that is what you call a scape goat. Some radicals called ISIS who killed mostly fellow Muslims used that as an excuse for their slaughter. Men who flat out stated they goals were to kill every non Muslim, and rule the world no less. No, the Middle East, Africa, and other countries are using history as an excuse for their own behavior. Why is the Falklands better off than Argentina? Why are so many ex colonies sometimes worse? People need to take responsibility for what they do TODAY, and work for a better tomorrow. Yet they don't... They steal, rape, and kill each other. Look at Africa now? Many Muslims are killing non Muslims or were. Some cultures are just worse off. Anyone who thinks the Ottoman Empire was somehow peaceful is insane too. They slaughtered and converted everything that didn't fight back. Some cultures are just more violent. What is even extra silly about the Middle East is that they should be the happiest, and richest mofos in the planet due to wealth from fossil fuels.
1
Also one thing rarely mentioned. An other problem with China is not many want to move there on their own accord. Whether people like it or not. America benefits immensely from immigration both for low skill workers, and for educated talent. Everyone knows how immigrants take jobs Americans are not willing to do. Yet many people who are incredibly smart move to America simply due to how much jobs pay. Even many Europeans will move here due to lower living wages, and taxes. Americans are also having less, and less kids. Yet we make up that with immigration. Anyway China is a lot more racist, and xenophobic. If people think America is extremely racist they have never left the country.
1
@sleepyjoe4529 We are better to the environment - now - though, and put more money per capita into cleaning up. As the average person gets richer in China the carbon foot print wil continue to rise and the question is how responsible will they be on the road to get there. I can't blame a Chinese person for wanting a house, a vehicle, and luxury either. China has literally obliterated their native wildlife and huge swaths of land are toxic. Ever see a video on why China doesn't have birds relative to other nations? Especially in the cities? It blew my mind. The endangered animal thing for holistic medicines needs to stop along with the scale of fishing without regards to international law. And I don't just blame China for this shit. All goverments need to be better, and we need to be efficient with what we have left.
1
@MUISHAGGY572 BRICS is a wet noodle. Do you think China and Russia are going to give up control with their monetary sovriengty when their economies rely on it? China is the one and only threat. Russia cannot handle Ukraine. Let alone America. India is a neutral ally at worse. Some say if forced to choose India would side with the US, and get some of their land back once and for all. South Africa is literally collapsing. They can't power their freaken water let alone go to war. Brazil? Haha! The hell are they going to do? Iran? There name fits them, because that is what would happen if confronted. You've got it backwards. China/BRICS does not want to fight America and her allies. That is where China messed up. They are basically alone. America has much more powerful allies. With that said China is a huge threat.
1
Some but not all. Don't know why they just don't make ships bigger. Square cube baby! That way you don't have to worry about it and can just go around it. Sure for some cargo the canal is perfect but for vast majority of shipping where time isn't a HUGE factor then why not just focus on bigger ships.
1
Well you had huge native population that were warring with each other for centuries. Then we brought our myriad of diseases that they had no immunity to completely wiped them out. Our Livestock and the pathogens they carry is what mainly wiped native Americans out. Wars and practices just sped up the decline. At least that's what I've read. I always wondered why the transmission of disease didn't go both ways. America also came around when centralized nations and NOT kingdoms among the age of sail and then industry. Perfect time to get a head start.
1
@kes1709 Didn't realize there was a word but yeah I knew that. I still would've thought there would've been other pathogens though that could be devastating. I guess syphilis is one but contested. More curious is how many diseases were already there.
1
@kes1709 Yeah I know what syphillius is and although it is horrible it's nothing compared to something like small pox.
1
All those Empires ruled with a heavy hand in comparison to say US. Democracy like the west just simply doesn't work there in my mind. If it wasn't for oil they'd be ignored by the rest of the world.
1
I mean there still is the value of it. The benefits would outweigh something like that. China can be very sensitive yet greed allows one to overlook slights.
1
@李小白-x4v By stopping ships away from the mainland from accessesing Chinese ports. With the help of various countries of course. You see that is where China dropped the ball. Their aggressive antics has made countries decide that as bad as the US is? They aren't nearly as bad as a world with the CCP. If Xi wasn't such a power hungry control freak, and took pages from Deng who was an amazing leader? China would be well on their way to being the dominate country economically, militarily, and geopoliticaly..
