  4. @RochePascal-kx5gh  If all things were equal, the US would still lose. Because more than any other country, they depend on overseas projection to maintain their power. Their aircraft carriers would last on average 20 minutes. That was some years ago. That number is only getting smaller.

  26.  @jonymanay  it's not clear what they want and I think it's changed from the original plan. Just as important is what's happening outside of the war and esp in Europe. Europe is getting a crunch in energy and it's wreaking havoc on it's economy. This is going to come to a head somehow w the people either starving or taking back their governments and away from US influence.

Yes it is funny, how the West are going about the slowest method possible to discover which red lines of the winners have been crossed only to be genuinely and increasingly shocked as they are progressively dictated to. All the meanwhile, Russia is looking like the good guys throughout. Only winning, winning and more winning for the Russians and vice versa.

But also, the Neonazis are I wouldn't say ruthless but raw and primitive. As they feel more pressure from the war, they will get worse. Not to say that Russian soldiers are not capable of atrocities but the Donbass militia have been attacked for the last 8 years. As such, I don't think they are inclined to committ warcrimes. The other contingents most likely have specific orders and discipline being strictly prohibited from atrocities. This is because it involves Ukraine AND they want to win the propaganda war with the Ukrainian populace. If it was another country, without those orders, I'm sure they would be like any other soldier.

You don't know how the West works. So ofcourse you don't know the situation in Ukraine the how and why. This book explains some of it. They just raided the former President's home. etc etc etc There's many things which we cannot say here in the West. There's no comparison. The west is becoming the Soviet Union while Russia has just survived it. This is normal. Why? because the West is in more trouble, more pressure as the economic system is about to collapse. It's natural that they become more authoritarian.

  37.  @m3c4nyku43  Yes, 'to the last Ukrainian.' This was known well before the war started. NATO, or the U.S. rather want Ukraine destroyed. They've already raped it to the bone financially, not quite to the barebone, some things are left. At this point, its better if Russia takes all and nulls all Ukrainian debt. I have doubts the Russians will do anything about the debt though.

  38. ​ @robmar7190 how is this similar to Afghanistan? Well it was much quicker than Afghanistan and US presence in troops there are minimal because the Russians prevented it. Now the situation is totally different. Now there is a Mexican standoff between at least 6 factions, potentially a lot more and Russia is among the least of them.

  48.  @larskoschin7230  I don't understand that Leopard 2's are cannon fodder? Have they been tested? They most likely have and proven to be vulnerable in the Middle east. In any case the m1abrams, routed to be among the best tanks has prven such.

  49.  @larskoschin7230  good to know. My imprrssion is that NATO have the edge in recon which is crucial. The Russians have advantage in most ground vehicles and electronic warfare. Not sure about air. -in tech terms, not numbers. I'm sure the Leopard 2 is something to trckon with, harkens back to the days of the Tiger 2 in the same arena as well.
