@AsinineComment It is a commercial that pretends to be journalism. Comparison to Lexus, which already has a proven status, only elevates Genesis's status. Weird American laws prohibit direct comparison to another product in advertising, so this ad mimics as journalism. Also, Lexus is not a manufacturer either, Toyota is.

Bad car, bad design. In an aggressive turn the inner rear wheel is up in the air, while the outer rear wheel is bent to the point the car rides basically on a sidewall. "The way it has operated is different from any other car. Is it the fault of the engineer? Was it the fault of the company?" - yes! No one is going to learn new tricks for each and every new car. There are certain assumptions how cars behave, and the Corvair broke those rules. Rear-heavy, with badly engineered cheap-ass suspension.

I opened this video only to leave a comment: 1. I hate SUVs. 2. I hate drag racing. 3. I hate boring remote race tracks. Please, find a setting that look like a real city and shoot something more akin to the Lexus LC500 Motor Trend Ignition episode that you have on your personal channel. Thanks.

The logo sequence is ok. Too long, in fact. Boring. Annoying. Kills the mood. The first rule of a cool shot is that you never hype it, viewers must discover it by themselves. Like, the wipe at 1:50. It is nice, although there is a hint of extra stuff just around the top edge of the trunk. Better mask next time! Yes, I did skip it frame by frame.

Straight line drag race is boring no matter visual effects you employ. Do a proper track circuit race or, even better, do it in a proper city not on a boring desert track.

6:07 - 6:12 and in some other places there is so much judder. I skipped it frame by frame, it seems that your shutter speed is way too high, there is no motion blur whatsoever. Remember, guys, you are shooting fast cars, not churches. Put on an ND filter and slow down the shutter speed. And if you cannot, then follow the subject instead of letting it whiz across the frame.

Thank you for describing Mercedes S-class interior as "a cross between a Chinese bordello and art-deco casino," that is what I've been saying all along. Granted, the S-class you show has cheap boring tablets instead of MBUX Hyperscreen, which looks much nicer.

There is absolutely no reason for this video to be in Cinemascope (cars that do not fit the frame and are cropped from the top, the bottom, or both the top and the bottom are the proof), but I will take Icons over a boring drag race any day.

Careful! Slo-mo and trick shots are good, but don't get into Top Gear's gimmicks of "who will do it quicker". No, no and no.

A mark of a professional is to make a cool shot as if it was nothing special. But when you repeat a gorgeous 3:43 move at 3:50 it kills all the fun. Don't think that your viewers don't notice small details - they do. Never attract the attention to a cool shot by repeating it. Also, in your checklist you forgot graduated ND filter for the sky and crazy color correction.
