Italy was the place in Europe with the highest number of direct flights with China) but the growth rate is not higher in Italy than elsewere. It's actually lower than in Spain, Germany and US, that are so only few days behind Italy in number of cases.

Obviously it's not feasible to acquire them for the entire medical staff of a nation during an epidemics, but they can be stored almost indefinitely, so it would be possible to acquire a sufficent quantity of them, little by little, when there isn't an epidemic and store them.

France and Italy reports deaths in care homes, Belgium reports all the deaths where Covid-19 is reported as cause of death even based on symptoms only, regardless the fact that a test had been made (UK deaths will raise by at least 4,000 using this method).

The explanation has to be searched elsewere too. In Italy that match probably played some role (Bergamo IS the worst affected city in Italy) but it didn't in Spain. Probably because there had been little contact between Spanish and Italian supporters. To say that the match is the culprit is suggestive, but it doesn't stand to the facts.
