So more people are dying of old age than usual? Time has started working differently?
1
People need to eat, repair infrastructures and so on. A complete shut down would be more deadly than COVID-19.

The Valencian Community is one of the least affected areas in Spain, while the epicenters are Madrid and Barcelona. To put the blame on the Atalanta-Valencia match is sugestive, but it doesn't stand to the facts.
1
@ricscreech9727 Infact Bergamo IS the epicenter of the disease in italy, and in that case the match COULD have had a role, but id DIDN'T had in Spain. Probably because there had been very little interaction between Italian and Spanish supporters. It was not like they were hugging each other.
1
Italy as the country in Europe with most direct flights to China. Simply someone infected arrived in Italy first. Cases in Italy did not increase at an higher pace than in other western countries. In Germany and US they are actually increasing faster than they did in italy.
1
They were way closer to Odessa some week ago. They had been repelled back to 10km from Kherson.
1
@huntergatherer7796 It's the plot of the cartoons on Russian TV?
1
It had only been hit before (because evidently someone brought the virus from China. Italy was the place in Europe with the highest number of direct flights with China) but the growth rate is not higher in Italy than elsewere. It's actually lower than in Spain, Germany and US, that are so only few days behind Italy in number of cases.
1
Because they discovered their army sucks.

Italian healt care system is rated second in the world by WHO.

He died the moment he quit. Only he didn't know yet.
1
The cost of a single kit like those of the doctors there is of about 250 Euros (but mask and suit are reusable). However the cost of the kit the reporter is wearing is of about 10 Euros, and it's better than what 90% of western healt worker exposed to the virus are wearing in this days.

@hedylamarr1637 Business and tourism.

It's not like a factory that builds truck engines can be converted in building certified medical respirators in two weeks.
1
135 recoveries so far (no joke). One can be considered recovered when the test is negative. It takes weeks.
1
So, Russians are increasingly reducing the scale of their objectives, and at the same time dragging troops from other fronts to achieve them.

This building's lights ad in China means "wear a mask". https://i.redd.it/lahgwpmz9wd41.jpg
1
Covid-19 mortality rate is about 100 times that of the flu for all the clusters.
1
The kits the doctors exposed to the patients are using there cost about 250 Euros each. The one of the reporter costs less than 10 Euros.
1
Actually the disease is spreading faster in the US, Spain, Germany and France. In Italy the outbreak only started before.
1
Doubling time in Italy is 5 days, in Australia is 3 days. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus
1
An hazmat suit like those worn by the doctors there costs something like 250 Euros (but the entire kit of the reporter costs less than 10 Euros, and it's FAR better than what the average western doctors and nurses wear nowadays). Obviously it's not feasible to acquire them for the entire medical staff of a nation during an epidemics, but they can be stored almost indefinitely, so it would be possible to acquire a sufficent quantity of them, little by little, when there isn't an epidemic and store them.
1
Italy cancelled flights with China in January, before many others in Europe. Unfortunately it seems now clear that the virus was circulating already in december, when it had not been officially identified yet.
1
Public healtcare. This is a public hospital dedicated to infectious diseases in Naples.
1
@Gone_Gaming0 Is a State.

Praying Allah doesn't seem to work in Iran.

It's not exactly new. Studies on the effectiveness of using clorochine Vs. the SARS were published the Itaian doctor Andrea Savarino on Lancet in 2003, and it's use in combination with lopinavir and ritonavir in 2005.

@Dynioglowy1986 All the Italian citizens, and some other European nationals as well, as Swiss and Vatican citizens.
1
@navamsinna8492 The Russians inveded Ukraine, not the other way round. Russia has no right ot say ANYONE what international organization they can or can not join. Ukraine is a democracy. Russia is a dictatorship. Ukrainians follow war rules. Russians are UN certified war criminals.
1
@colinfraser369 Err... no. To report only hospital deaths is only an UK choice. France and Italy reports deaths in care homes, Belgium reports all the deaths where Covid-19 is reported as cause of death even based on symptoms only, regardless the fact that a test had been made (UK deaths will raise by at least 4,000 using this method).

They chose a quite expensive clinic. The average price in private clinics is €45.

New York State is the State in the world, with the highest death rate. New Jersey is 5th.
1
@eddie1078 New York is a State. Lombardy Isn't.
1
There is a vaccine for flu, and even among the not vaccinated, the mortality rate is well below 1 out of 1000. For COVID-19 the mortality rate is over 3 out of 100.
1
@DissidentHellion It started far earlier, and we know it will end with the rise of the temperature. Not so the COVID-19.
1
It's actually spreading faster in US and Germany (UK datas are not usable, since they are not even testing patients). Italy only got it first.
1
China's number of victims doesn't make sense statistically. No epidemiologist takes it for serious. It's like Wuhan inhabitants traveled everywere in the world before the lockdown, but not into China.
1
None of those underlining problems caused viral pneumonia, that's what killed them, so they died for the virus.

1
@bocca7789 So it has nothing to do with the Atalanta-Valencia match in Bergamo.
1
@bocca7789 And it shouldn't be, if the disease arrived in Valencia first.
1
@bocca7789 But if the match was between Valencia and Atalanta, how could have made the things in Madrid worse than in Valencia? The clip clearly stated that the match "played a key role" in making Spain "one of the worst affected countries". It doesn't seem the case.
1
@bocca7789 So, again, there had no been any "key role" of the Atalanta-Valencia match in making Spain "one of the worst affected countries" It played a role only in the limited cases of Valencia, while the epicentre of the disease in Spain is elsewere (the Valencian Community is actually one of the least affected in Spain https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_coronavirus_pandemic_in_Spain#/media/File:COVID-19_outbreak_Spain_per_capita_cases_map.svg ). The explanation has to be searched elsewere too. In Italy that match probably played some role (Bergamo IS the worst affected city in Italy) but it didn't in Spain. Probably because there had been little contact between Spanish and Italian supporters. To say that the match is the culprit is suggestive, but it doesn't stand to the facts.
1
@bocca7789 Maybe the official numbers are correct, maybe not, but it's not like, if the official numbers are not correct, then anyone can came with numbers of his liking.
