  11. ​ @alfredneuman6911 Ukrainian troops are stuck in Kursk without Fuel, the Ukrainians in belford have reported slow progress and combat with Ahkmat special forces, meanwhile in the south the last Ukrainan stronghold in Lugansk fell to Russian forces last month and the last Ukrainian stronghold at Chasiv Yar in Donetsk is being encircled by Russian forces, with that being said, Ukraine has captured less that a 100th or Russian territory, while Russia occupies a fifth of Ukraine. It may not be good to use territorial claims to signify victory bud.

  19. ​ @87lancerguy when the conflict started most of the donbass was in Ukrainian hands and the only way to get supplies to Crimea was by sea or air, now a land corridor connecting Crimea to Russia has been established, all of Lugansk is in Russian hands, the last Ukrainian stronghold in Donetsk is under siege by Russian ground forces and Russia has recaptured almost 70% of the Kursk region taken by Ukraine three months ago, while Ukraine struggles to kidnap more conscripts because of the mass exodus of draft age men fleeing the re region to escape conscription, while russia has only committed 20% of its armed forces to the conflict, go back to hiding under the rock you've been at the last two years, it's easier to cope down there then face reality.

Not having reason not to and having the means to do so are very different, at best Ukraine could make a dirty bomb using spent fuel rods from reactors, but they do not have the means to build nuclear weapons in the conventional sense, Range for the dirty bomb is an even greater problem because any attack on Russia with a dirty bomb would risk fallout drifting to Poland and the baltics, not to mention Russia's response would erase Ukraine from the map. Not that it makes much difference, Ukraine doesnt have the time it would take to build nuclear weapons under present conditions, maybe if that process started in 2015, but Russia's advance isnt stopping for them.

  36. this is based on the assumption of what the actual long term goals of the operation are, if they wanted Kiev it would have been glassed like Grozny. Ukraine cut off fresh water access to crimea in breach of the Geneva Convention, they committed a war crime against russian citizens, now Crimea has a solid land connection with Russia, Sevastopol is the only port that is free of ice year round that the Russians could call at. Now it's secured.

  41.  @paareth  Russia didnt start a coup in the east, those were autonomous actions taken by the citizens of Donbas after the US and NATO started a coup in Kiev, the perpetrators of which then went on to commit several atrocities against the Ukrainian people, and you want to give those same criminals more guns and pull them into NATO, before western meddling and financing of ACTUAL fascist organizations in the region, UKraine and Russia were at peace and shared prosperous relations. Dont sell me that horse shite about evil russia because I've followed the conflict since day 1, Vostok Batallion formed independently in February in Donetsk without any outside support, they're armaments came from two separate Ukrainian army depots containing retired equipment from the 90's, which they were still using throughout the battle of Debaltslavo, Russian armaments did not start arriving until June of 2014, Ukraines military offensive in Donetsk and Lugansk began in April. (April mind you, is 2 months BEFORE June, because that's how the calendar works)
