Most recently may be because of perceived support for Putin. Just speculating 🤔

@bilic8094 agreed. Russia will lose most of its strength soon and Ukraine will take back their country. Shouldn't be too long now.

As an outsider I never understood Brexit. It doesn't seem to provide any economic benefits and just introduced a lot of complications. It's looks like it was motivated solely by emotion. Would be interested in a deep dive video about this.

This will never work unless it's some kind of federation. It would require reconciliation with the Arab population. Somehow.
1
Also shocking to see comments making excuses for Trump. Putin has his troll farms working overtime
1
A repeat of the Armenian genocide. Now it's the Kurds

I dont think the EU or NATO anticipated that any of its members would become autocratic regimes aligned with its enemies. Its long past time to eject nations that dont share the values of the free world.

@thetraveller1612 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus condemned as violation of international law by EU. Cited for human rights violations. Illegal drilling for oil in conquered territory. 1978 War against Kurds began following ethnic cleansing attempt by Turkey. Incursions into Syria and Iraq to attack Kurds outside Turkey. Atrocities from both sides continue. Turkish SBB purchased arms from Russia in violation of sanctions. Limited freedom of the press. Opposition members imprisoned.

@Robin Smith If they annex Palestine, they have to give them the vote and that means the Palestinians could take over.. If they allow a Palestine state, they will be constantly under attack. But they have to choose one or the other.

The problem is some of the goes to corrupt, autocratic governments whose population is hostile to the US.

Putin is doing the same thing in Georgia as he is doing in Moldova and other nations. Covert influence campaigns, infiltration, espionage, and conversion of government personnel into Russian agents. His siloviki are already active in Georgia. He can take over Georgia with firing a shot.
1
Wouldn't be surprised

It will fizzle out eventually and start over in another couple of decades. Neither side has the power to defeat the other.
1
If Japan was going to retake the islands this would be the perfect time. Russia doesn't have the resources to fight on two fronts.
1
@wilkesmcdermid7906 but given what is happening in Ukraine they don't appear to be very effective. Russia is huge and most of it's neighbors have reason to dislike Putin. But you're probably right.
1
Why does it have to be and all or nothing issue? Should be able to choose an appropriate position on a continuum of participation.
1
@bilic8094 was actually asking about polls showing how many support Ukraine versus Putin. Less concerned about other choices - whatever Serbia decides is fine as long as it's what the people want.
1
Thank you for taking a stand on Ukraine. This means more coming from someone like you who tries to stay neutral and unbiased.

@JamesKerLindsay i just watched it again. You are correct that reporting what he did and didn't do is not speculation. But interpreting what he said and is saying and trying to report on that is problematic. Everything is theatre with him, and nobody knows the plot
1
@niro6492 what are you saying? I'm missing your point
1
Tragic outcome.
1
I dont call it "hybrid war". This is war on the 21st century. China and Putin are actively at war with the free world.
