Elephants can actually roar. Even young elephants can be terrifying.

Leopard: One of the stealthiest creatures on the planet. Also Leopard: Does not realise that there is an Apex Predator just 6 feet behind him.

That's a brown hyena, those loners are more than capable of surviving on their own. Their bite force often matches with that of their larger spotted cousins.
127
The tiger's way of combat is completely different from lions. Having stronger hind legs allows them to stand up on their legs and use both of their claws. Their goal is also not to kill the rival, just make it submit and chase it away from the territory.
102
I like how predators are always vary of potentially venomous animals.
82
@glasslakes It's just a cub playing with the guy. They don't eat that gently.
53
I like how the mother lioness couldn't do anything and the buffalo looked at her like "Watchu gonna do?"
47
@blackalphaplays3121 Sure thing, fanboy.
46
@thefishhobbyist5478 That's why lions have gone extinct in Ranthambore and tigers haven't.
39
"Omg hyenas and wild dogs are so evil! They eat their prey while its still alive! Lions are so noble! They show mercy and kill the prey before eating." 👆🏻🤓
38
The size difference! An average male lion is at least 9 feet in length and those hippos make him look like a house cat.
29
@pitomedina7353 You expect it to turn around and fight something almost 3 times it's size? It's the wildlife and not your Disney princess world. A serious injury means death sentence specially for solitary animals. Lions run away in the same manner when the prey or other animals they attack start fighting back. If you want to see the true power of a brown hyena, then watch it going up against someone of it's size https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW2OwVreINA
26
0:13 The most unexpected part, he knocked something that is around four times bigger than him away and made it retreat.
25
6:02 Hyenas look gentle from up close.
22
Herbivores actually have an instinct, whenever they see some animal getting attacked by predators, they rush in to save it. I once saw a cow saving a pig from stray dogs.
21
And then there are people on the internet who think that a leopard or a wolf can defeat a hyena. xD No leopard or wolf can survive such a mauling. Even a lion wouldn't survive such an attack from a predator 3 times bigger than itself. Hyenas are without a doubt the strongest animals for their size.
20
@jsuswaram Well there are videos of several encounters between the two subspecies, here's one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxJqXDkGCQ0&t=63s The brown hyena stood it's ground against bigger predators, so props to it for that.
19
@asmoothpack2474 They aren't. They often get overpowered by lone hyenas and their paws have little effects on hyenas because hyenas are built like tanks.
18
@Thefishhobbyist No it wasn't as challenging as hunting tigers. No lion has ever gone on such a terror campaign as the Champawat tigress did in India in the early 20th century. In the span of just a few years, it killed around 436 people in India and Nepal and kept avoiding hunters until she was finally shot by Jim Corbett.
15
I saw a video of a hyena clan harassing lions away from a kill at night, one of the hyenas dragged a fully grown lion out of it's way. These animals are incredibly strong.
14
@Marshall Wayne Because tigers are indeed superior - they are bigger, smarter and have more overall strength. They live alone, yet hunt animals as large as gaurs while lions often get whooped by cape buffaloes despite being in groups. Dead female rhinos in Kaziranga have reportedly been found with tiger bites all over their bodies but it's not clear whether they were killed by the tiger or died from other causes. In another instance, a dead rhino and tiger were found lying together with gore marks. Nature does not function on human concepts like equality and justice. It did not make every animal equal, so you cannot cry about someone commenting on how tigers are superior. Nature is not fair.
14
They are incredibly resilient, they can survive anything.
13
Not as easy as it looks. The leopard needs to find shed to cool down, it was already exhausted.
12
@Huzaifa Khan Hyenas are threat to all lions, they have often displaced lion populations in many regions across Africa and vice versa. The nomad didn't try to take over pride, he was trying to mate with the lionesses and then go about his business in his solitary life.
11
@Huzaifa Khan They only associate with females during the mating season as the documentary states clearly. They do live in prides, but only the females. Males are either alone or in coalitions. Why? 1. They don't face other apex predators like spotted hyenas and African wild dogs which force them to live in groups. 2. They are a different subspecies who separated from their cousins in Africa around 400,000 years ago and have since become a separate subspecies. Even the barbary lions, who were the closest relatives of the Asiatic lions displayed similar behaviour. Look up any video of Asiatic lion, you will never find males and females together unless it's a certain season.
10
@HuzaifaKhan-lf7ug Male lions in India live alone or in coalitions of two. Their behaviour differs from the African lions. Only female Indian lions live in prides.
9
That lion stopped fighting after getting the taste of 1100 PSI on his face at around 1:12 xD
9
This is why you don't f with top predators. They might be small and weak alone but with the pack on their side, only lions and hyenas can defeat them, not some solitary cat.
9
Hyena actually went for the throat and killed the deer and he/she did it quite quickly compared to the lions.
9
@jancyvargheese5351 They were both hunted by the Britishers and Indian princely state rulers. Big cats were seen as pests back in the day.
8
@DanielIsraelite I don't like either of them.
7
"Omgg hyenas and wild dogs are so evillll they eat the prey aliveeeeee"
7
@greatnessT Always
7
Lioness: Nooo please don't harm my cub! Hyenas: That will cost you Lioness: pays them with the food
7
@michaeld8635 Too bad you don't come from the Ranthambore National Park in India where these tigers live.
6
She'd have been dead at around 1:47 if the male wanted. He had no fear of her. Just held back because he needed her to raise his cubs.
6
It's like a cycle - the Leopards run away in the same manner when a Spotted Hyena shows up.
6
@ashdog236 Haha lions cannot kill anything in two seconds, maybe a rabbit. Their bite force is too weak. There are videos of even African wild dogs playing dead in their jaws and then escaping unharmed. Only jaguars and tigers can kill prey that quickly. And of course hyenas if they go for the neck.
6
Siberian tigers only reach such size in captivity, in the wild no cat is bigger than the Bengal Tiger.
6
@jsuswaram My pleasure.
5
Because Leopards are bigger cowards.
5
"Omg hyenas so and wild dogs so evil!!!! They torture their prey before eating!!!" 🤡🤓
5
Maybe he tried, but the hyena didn't let him.
5
Dumb excuses from lion fans. TrUsT mE rofl
5
Are you sure? There is a report of a hyena with crippled hind legs but is still a thriving member of his clan 9 months after the lion attacked him.
5
@deepdungeon8465 The Indian Supreme Court has actually ordered the Government to relocate some of the Asiatic lions from Gir to Kuno National Park but the State Government of Gujarat is refusing to do so as they believe it would damage their tourism industry.
5
@obelix7349 It's a brown hyena. Striped hyenas are grayish and smaller.
5
When people who don't know anything about wild animals share their opinions:
5
Nope, this is an everyday thing for hyenas. They never give up.

Same
