I just put a big post up the top about exactly this. Umart will do the 12700/3060 version of the Tuf F15 for $1449, cheaper than Amazon does the 10300/1650 version. As always, check prices at Umart, Centrecom, Scorptec etc. Amazon AU is very expensive, and if the price is even close to the same as one of the other places I listed it will be for a far inferior product.

@JonnDuune 6400 would have been about alright but think the name is already gone. a 6300 maybe. Certainly should not have XT on it anywhere

Mid range pc upgrade paths. Best bang for buck for what parts are available for everyday punters. With plenty of people out there looking at stuff like 6600's and 2060's for Ryzen 5 3600 or 10400f builds this is probably where the middle of the market for tech consumers is. A fair bit above the average steam build, but certainly not 3080 and 12900k levels. The 12th gen early adopter stuff sounds interesting, though. Maybe with 12600 or 12400 that might be affordable.

If these are as competitive as they believe with the 3060, and come in at a substantial discount for pricing they will be popular with budget gaming builds. Now we just have to see if there's facts behind those graphs.

11th gen declared Overclocking useless. The cost of gearing up to O/C with better coolers and case fans and stuff? When you can just buy a previous gen x600k or x700k that trumps your mainstream option? If you have the budget for more than that level, then the reality is you're thermally throttled anyway even without overclocking...
