  1. Great video on what's happening with the peso vs dollar today. I still plan to move to Mexico if I can, even at 15:1 the peso will still benefit me with my meager Social Security income, and Mexico is a MUCH friendlier country than the U.S. Congrats, Dave!

  2. I love your thought-provoking videos! It is interesting to hear the way your questions are answered by different generations and I know that the culture is for young people to live at home at least until they marry but the young woman, especially, spoke about wanting independence. The fact that not being able to afford housing after college graduation is a concern there, mirrors the concerns from young people here in the states.

  4. Those earbuds are so cool! No, I don't think it will replace learning other languages, I think that it will help as people begin to learn like the first man you tried them with so that you can communicate better. I'm thinking about going to a doctor or a hospital and not knowing the words to explain how you feel or the doc explaining what you have or what the treatment will be. Those earbuds would be fantastic for that.

  9. So, I believe that we should be liked, respected, etc. by how we act and what we say. Who we are. DNA, ethnicity, as you stated, gives us background information from our past. Tells us about our ancestors, those honored during Dia de Los Muertos. It does not define us it just says, hey, your family came from here. I don't care who you marry, where they are from, or what religion they are. That's my two cents, from the U.S.

  15. You guys are doing what is best for you at this time, good for you! Being a digital nomad is not for everyone, especially full time. Just because you started out doing one thing or had a certain plan, people change as they grow (and get a bit older) so your tastes in things will change as will your plans in life. Go with the flow! Nothing says that you can't take a weekend trip once in a while to still enjoy travel, you just won't have to drag everything you own with you, you can travel from your base!

  19. That's a tough decision for the two of you to make. Like Old Soul Pammy, I think that Jill has a great idea. If you plan to travel to more countries it is probably better to do it now. I don't know your financial situation but If you could afford a house now and still travel, you could buy, then rent your house (like with Eat, Baila, Travel) and use it as a home base between countries. Good luck with your decision!

  20. It's really lovely there, sorry the shirt idea backfired on Dave. The food looked quite yummy and taking your own drinks to the beach was a great idea! Like William said, all tourist places around the world charge more, so I imagine that going in the summer may be less expensive.

  22. Oh, don't listen to the naysayers unless it is someone you respect. There will always be people who like to complain. Those more "clicky" thumbnails are what the majority of youtubers use to catch your attention and there is nothing wrong with that, the content of your videos is more important and your videos are fantastic! Keep it up!

  24. I have heard that youtube burnout is a real thing. It has to be especially hard when you are running a business that you love so that you feel torn between the two. I'm happy that you are feeling better now! I have loved your videos for a long time and appreciate all of the hard work that goes into every one of them, as well as sharing your country and its culture with me. Please post videos once or twice a month and never let youtube, haters, or anxiety about your channel get you down, it's not worth it. Make sure Dave takes you out for lunch or makes you feel special, because you are.

There are a lot of traditions for New Year's Eve in Mexico, I hadn't heard of any, or even any here in the U.S. (those I just read below are new to me), but where I live people shoot off fire crackers or shoot a gun into the air at midnight, don't know why.   43. It's great that you have Dave in your corner! We all need to raise our confidence for certain things that we want to try or accomplish and this video is a reminder of that. Knowing that we could fail is what I believe keeps most of us from trying new things, but then you ask yourself, what is the worst that could happen? Whatever it is, is not the end of the world and you just have to try again or try something different. Anyway, thank you for this video, your words of encouragement are what we all need.

BTW, if you make a mistake when speaking English, it doesn't matter to me, I would do the same (no, much worse!) when trying to speak Spanish. You don't need to be so self-conscious. :)
