  15.  @jbrannon509  I don't expect him to do Second Amendment advocacy on his veterinary channel or his third channel. But he is a bona fide "gun celebrity". He has a voice that can be used to reach people who otherwise wouldn't be reached. I like the Yankee Marshall too, but he's an old crank who is just preaching to the choir. Matt here has seven million subscribers, plus however many more who at least sometimes watch his videos. This is a gun channel. Guns are inherently political - they shouldn't be, but they are. If you're going to be in a position where you have a voice in the gun community and you profit from the gun community, it's not too much to ask to expect a little bit back. I'm not asking for much, just a few words at the beginning of his videos urging his followers to support the Second Amendment, and suggesting a couple of ways it can be done.

  17.  @jbrannon509  I'm sure there are few if any dedicated anti-gun people watching, but I suspect that there are many people watching who aren't aware of the attacks on our rights or of the importance of preserving them. Maybe even some "that's cool, but you shouldn't be able to own that" types. Basically, people who are uninvolved or on the fence on the Second Amendment who could be swayed. I understand that this channel is primarily about entertainment, not advocacy, and I'm not suggesting that he should give up blowing stuff up and shooting various things, but if he spent maybe 30 seconds in his videos on just a little bit of advocacy before he got to shooting various crazy things, it would help.

  18. The FAMAS is extremely rare in the US, and if you can find one, they go for about $20,000. The G11 was an experimental rifle that never made it to production, shooting an experimental caseless round. There are no examples of the G11 on the civilian market, and even if there were, ammunition wouldn't be available for it.

  21. I used to do that all the time in Iraq. We would pop the little cap thing off the back with a knife, then stick the bullet in a sandbag or something, then pour the powder out over it and light the powder with a match. Good times.

  22. Tony Samson No, I'm not talking about the primer. On tracer bullets, there is a hollow part containing the tracer compound which is sealed with a little cap on the base of the bullet. I don't know what the technical term is. This is the bullet I'm talking about, not the entire cartridge. For this trick, the casing, including the primer, would be discarded.

  23. Tony Samson The propellant (the powder) was poured over the bullet and ignited, as it catches easier than the tracer compound. The burning powder in turn lights the tracer compound. There were more than enough rounds of ammunition to go around. We wouldn't have wasted ammo for fun if it was needed for combat.

He also clearly shoots on the same range as Iraqveteran8888, who mention being from Georgia every 30 seconds. I think he did one video in Texas, shooting hogs from a helicopter or some shit, but the man is clearly from Georgia.

  34. Trump is a giant turd who is no better on virtually anything than Clinton is, and on a couple things (healthcare and foreign policy) he's worse. Gary Johnson isn't a great candidate, but I'm voting for him because whether it's Trump or Clinton, I don't want to be responsible for the disaster that will ensue. To think, we had so many great candidates this year - Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio....and we ended up with a semi-literate moron who literally will express five different opinions on one topic in a single day. If you're conservative, Gary Johnson may not be a great candidate, but he's the closest we've got.

I am giving my vote to Gary Johnson, because he is the only candidate who I consider even minimally acceptable. Neither Trump nor Hillary will ever get my vote because neither of them deserve it. I don't want either of them to be president, and I don't think that one is slightly less bad than the other. Both are completely unacceptable. I will vote for Pat Toomey (R) for Senate, although I am not a fan, because he is better than the alternative. If there's a Republican running for the House in my district (questionable), I'll vote for him. But I will never vote for Trump or anyone else who donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats, is pro-abortion, anti-gun, anti-free speech, anti-NATO and pro-Russian, and disagrees with me on virtually every other issue except immigration (and I don't believe him on that, either).

  38. phatrides222000 34 isn't too old. The Army National Guard accepts applicants up to 45. The Marine Corps, in theory, only accepts people up to age 29, but you can get waivers, I knew two 31-year-olds at boot camp. I don't know about any of the other services. If you actually want to join the military, quit making excuses and go see a recruiter. If not, then just shut up about it. NO veteran likes hearing the guy who says "I would have joined, but...". It's obnoxious and lame. If you have the balls to join, join, if not, nobody wants to hear about it.

  42. zGunExpert 7000 meters is a very long way. You'd have to fire from quite a height (or at quite an angle) for any bullet to travel that far without running into the ground. Either way, you're not gonna get anything approaching accuracy with a .50BMG out past 2000yds.

  50. What are the size of the guns on USS Texas? I'm in the Philadelphia area, right across the river from USS New Jersey. Her guns are 16" 50 caliber. She's an Iowa class battleship, the biggest ever made by the US, and apparently New Jersey is by six inches the longest battleship ever, longer than the Japanese ships Yamato and Musashi.
