Medi is getting two thumbs waaaaay up for his refusal to eat the Chinese garbage and challenge them on their lies directly 👍👍

"It's not up to the people of Taiwan to decide" 😮 Wow that's the biggest "OOF" soundbyte type of failure I have seen in while

Oh man that would get my blood boiling if I found out that someone had desecrated a war memorial that was to honor my countrymen for their suffering and sacrifice Dishonor towards the dead at/or desecration of gravesites and memorials is almost universally condemned by every culture around the world

I think it's funny how everybody tries their best to attack the US and they're supposed dislike of Muslims but in China the government has literally rewritten the Quran, banned the observation of Ramadan, forced Muslims to eat pork, and tore down their houses of worship
73
This is the equivalent of naming a hospital in honor of Josef Mengele
44
What did you expect? there is no copyright system in China, if you are a foreigner you have literally zero legal rights to anything that you created outside, then later brought to China, or you created inside of China domestically None of that will ever belong to you according to Chinese law
32
Remember that your right to peacefully assemble is not protected in China
31
This is why I'm disappointed in both Canada and the US policy makers who think it's a good idea to let non citizens vote No at all levels of government Municipal, State/Provincial, or even National should all be restricted to citizens of that nation to cast a ballot If you want to participate in the process you need to be a part of that nation that's supposed to be the whole reason why you get the citizenship in the first place
31
Hey if Humans can do it to the point of delusion why can't inanimate objects self-identify? 🤣

As a former tower climber and tower safety certifier with 7 years experience and let me tell you what China is doing is utterly appalling and terrifying There's a reason why all of our safety rules such as OSHA and ANZI are as encompassing and detailed as they are because they have been written in blood If you tried to pull off something like this not only would you be fired immediately you also would be barred from ever climbing as a job ever again for the rest of your life Tower safety enforcement does not hold back in punishing egregious safety violations Even when safety violation such as that do not result in a loss of life
28
I agree, if I was to move to another nation learning the language would be priority number one
25
You'll definitely find pre communist China fascinating then lol Place was absolutely brutal 😆 especially in the ancient world it's got the most genocides and mass killings in its history more than any singular country but it's weird that that brutality was juxtaposed with the great artistry and centers of learning of the overall Chinese culture, kinda like the Romans in a way
17
I can tell you why the Chinese specifically like to use that word "liberated" when they discuss the 1950 Tibetan annexation It's because the CCP will always point out that technically the Tibetans practiced slavery prior to them once again joining with the CCP Now this is technically true but it's such a gross cherry picking usurping of history, Tibet did indeed once have an empire separate from China and in that empire yes slavery was practiced But when Tibet was conquered by imperial china in the 1720s those practices were stopped but never officially banned by the Tibetans themselves And in fact the Imperial China ruled over the Tibetans in much of that capacity When Tibet gained it's de facto freedom from China in 1919 after imperial china fell into various warlords battling it out for dominance they just returned to their previous sets of rules for governing themselves and while they didn't participate in slavery anymore because they never had an official ban, the practice was still on the books So when China was looking for justifications into their annexation they pulled that little obscure factoid out of the Tibetan government structure and paraded it around
16
Sadly the Arab spring resulted in more suffering for many of those nations as the leaders that replaced the ousted were much of the same or worse
15
I got to tell you that there's very few things that will make me completely irate and absolutely livid but disturbing the final resting place of someone is top of the list! 😡
15
@blackzero786 Wait he was? I know Qin Shi Huang Di he partook of Mercury ingestion, had as many wives to rival a Mongolian, and was brutal to his defeated foes by working them to death as slave labor to build the first segments of the Chinese Great wall But didn't know about the cannibalism
14
The only policy I will ever in my life agree with done by the Chinese government was the restriction of video game playtime to a few hours per week That did wonders because the Chinese gamers are sadly the one with the most excessive abundance of cheaters, bot creation and bot hosters Not to mention the excessive use of piracy
14
This reminds me of the time when the mayor of Chicago Lightfoot said that to deal with gang violence will make it possible to sue gangs 😂 Riiiiight because a criminal organization respects the law and will show up in court
14
Just like criticizing the Israeli government is NOT Jewish h8 either
12
Mother Nature has the largest killcount of extinction events and mankind is a droplet in an ocean compared to that But still we have to be careful at what we protect and what we loose far too often we waste time on species that look cute like Pandas but literally do nothing for the larger collective and we let critical species like various coral reefs suffer cause they don't have a mass marketable appeal when trying to "save" the wildlife
11
I am so sorry to hear about that in China children should never be used for labour in any circumstances There's also a sad fact is that in the United States there is a push amongst the most far side of the politics for the use of child labor to come back 😔

I just think it's interesting that people are complaining about abortion and women's rights saying if you don't have this and that than the women in the United States will be nothing but chattel And society will be turned into what's happening in the handmaid's tale And I'm like "guys it's not in the US, it's in China where that's already happening!"
9
Shelly Zhang of China Uncensored said the same thing The people in China have only been driving for about 20 years so they only have about 1 generation who is somewhat familiar with the concept
7
America: "We needed to invade iraq they have WMDs!" 30 years later Russia: "We needed to invade Ukraine they have biological weapons!"
7
The Afrikaners from S. Africa are descendants from Dutchmen after all And Winston did learn to speak Afrikaans
7
Yep the "never again" is bull 💩 because not even 50 years later there was another genocide IN Europe the Bosnian Genocide
6
While I understand what you are saying please remember that he honeymoon period is different for everyone I'm sure that in 2006 had YouTube and video recording and sharing been more widespread as easily accessible there would be people who would have made negative videos and comments on Serpentza and him living in China Warning him of what to expect and telling him "he deserved it for living there" and that "I don't feel bad for serpentza" because he "chose to live in an authoritarian regime" Just keep that in mind ok? because even Serpentza admits it took him years to get out of his honeymoon period
6
Remember that LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU SAY as a service member is considered an official statement so yeah if you are saying that you would quit the US military and help the Chinese that's considered NOT A JOKE Immediately red flag and its highly likely the MPs will be knocking looking for this man
6
I don't know why you'd want to study in China, they legally can discriminate against Africans, their culture also permits the ability to say anything towards Africans and Foreigners in general and not suffer from it There is no NAACP or it's equivalent in China, in fact it's actually illegal to even try and form such an organization to promote minority rights in China
6
@tigervalley62 you're missing out because top gun Maverick was very good even if like I said Tom Cruise is batshit insane you're really missing out buddy give it a chance try to separate the art from the artist
6
Holy cow that scooter guy went right towards you 😳
5
Lee Kwan Yu is probably the closest thing to that in our modern history, he had to rule Singapore with a heavy handed fist especially during the expulsion period when Singapore got kicked out of Malaysia and all hell had been broken loose And in the ancient world I'd say maybe, Cincinnatus, he got full dictatorship powers given to him by the Roman Senate to defeat an enemy in a time of Rome's need being dire and when he completed his task he handed it back
5
Remember China needs the trade to the US it's not the other way around it will hurt the US in the short-term but the US can find suppliers from other countries China knows this and so what they try to do is they try to be sneaky they will go to countries like Vietnam and Mexico and have it be a completely Chinese operation, the building will be owned by a Chinese company for manufacturing but because it gets made in Mexico it is given the made in Mexico stamp And we know this is happening because there are Chinese firms literally across the US border in Mexico within a stone's throw
5
🎶 "They going off the rails on the crazy train!!!" 🎶 🎸🎸🎸
5
@Maelstromme No kidding, as genocides have continued around the world every decade since 1945 One that's often overlooked is the Hargeisa Holocaust, of the 1980s in Africa where sadly many Isaaq where massacred by the Somali Democratic Republic under the dictatorship of president Barre
4
It's the modern day version of the gestapo Your right to assemble is not protected in China
4
Also I'm just surprised Netflix with their stance towards left allowed something that blatantly criticizes China and communism
4
At first I was wondering why he was in trouble with the South Korean authorities but that I remember he's not South Korean citizen he's actually a Chinese citizen he's just ethnically Korean
4
No.... That's not exactly how it works, the US military will add to your enlisted rank base pay if you show competency in a foreign language You take a test and if it's a language they don't have a lot of speakers of you get more money but only if they have any use for it If you are fluent in Esperanto for example you will not get much it you are fluent in Russian you will get considerably more But the want for that foreign language competence waxes and wanes very frequently and the pay also
4
@dirtypenguin7950 Sadly that doesn't always work in various police precincts and court jurisdictions and the client can and will take you to civil court and you can lose badly so make sure that when you get your contract for a job as someone who is self employed you get it in writing and you have all the parameters spelled out neatly including price It's a lot easier to defend yourself when you have physical paper to present to the cops and to the judge
4
Operation Fishkill
4
@RobertProductionsX no because the Soviets have never done anything that was to sacrifice or for the bravery of their country, so no one gives a fk if they demolish that stuff buddy
4
@jmbaug1229 i know the point was the horrible justification of the invasion Had the US led with the justification for the removal of a genocidal dictator then the invasion and war and occupation would have been more well received
4
@grambo4436 they actually do their job pretty well I mean you can see that in the case of the guy that created five nights at Freddy's he literally owns every single depiction of five nights at Freddy's and he's only one person So they do their job well but they are very often abused by companies to hang onto projects and creative works long after the original author has died such as Disney and them holding onto Mickey Mouse luckily that should go away in 2024 and Mickey will enter the public domain despite being well over a freaking century
4
For sure, I had to bring a friend of mine to heel by pressing down on his shoulder with all my weight as he was getting up from his seat to go argue with a man who was repeatedly slapping his wife on the bus I hoped he understood when I told him they don't have good samaritan laws here if you get involved you are going to jail 100% since you are a foreigner and he might even get attacked by the same Chinese man beating his wife He looked at me completely dumbfounded and couldn't believe it
4
I think we are as we so many people trying to defend TikTok
3
@rmf9567 not completely, there's push from the other side of the political to allow it in seasonal farm/agricultural work as well
3
Abduweli Ayup the poster of this message even went on to do a very nice interview with the China uncensored team
3
What did a do a bear 🐻 and blue dress 👗 have in common? They both broke the internet and ruined relationships
