  4. whyamimrpink78 the simple fact that it's a public service makes their systems better. Even if it was 10-20 percent less efficient, which it isn't. Would be far better to more people. Also police occupy the same space as nurses. There's also caretakers in health. And even volunteers. Police has forensics, specialist, labs, detectives. And then there's judges and lawyers for the prosecution. And you can't afford a defender, one is provided. The fire trucks and cars and bomb robots arfreely given too. So there is overlap in complexity. Police force is similar to a military. And then there's the FBI, CIA, treasury, ATF ect. And taking law even further. Politicians themselves, where we object when they act with privatize interest for their own profit.

  21.  @hellfish2309  why would a vegan care? He's not there to eat steaks. Why is he cursing out someone for an accident? You don't get to immediately curse someone out and feel justified. And if the person cooked it in good faith to the best of their ability or to what they consider good, while you can judge the quality, you can't accuse them of doing it because they personally hate you, or all vegans.

And that's because there's different types of jokes. You seem to hate a strand of jokes where the twist is shocking or because the set up mentions a wife. It could be a husband, a girlfriend, any partner. The humour comes from the twist. The setup is a template.

  24. I don't think he's a smart guy. He doesn't do basic research. I tried a video of him, it was recommended. Right before anyone talkes about him. And it was about a topic I had researched that week. And it blew me away how I did better research than him just on Google. And he really ran with it. That was at the start of his weird covid takes. He's considered right wing because of his rightwing covid takes and then the audience he's built cause of it. Right and center right people. By comparison, I tried this random girl who's not getting talked about and her video was so much better researched and informative. It's a shame a celebrity that just tells right wingers what they want to hear is getting talked about. And someone actually doing the work that can actually enhance people's understanding has gone by the wayside. I don't even remember her name and I don't get recommended vids by her.

It's insane if you think it was a global conspiracy by enemy countries, allies, and neutral countries, just to mess with you.

  36.  @dagoatwut6792  you can live with diabetes. But it's much harder to to defeat the virus with it. Then trying to cure it, your body either destroys itself, or the attempts to treat it do. Having to be on a ventilator kills you. The longer you're on it kills you. Issues start to compound. You're lungs get messed up. The chances of heart problems go up. It becomes a cascade of health problems as your body fails. Each one compounding it. Where someone would have otherwise lived with it. The weaker you are, the least able you are to get over it. Most of the signs of infection or symptoms people have is your body fighting it. But if you become too weak from fighting it, you just don't, it stays in your body. It's damn awful. Some people are lucky and they might not even notice it but they can still spread it. But you could be sending someone else to their death.

  38. treason... as vile as they were, it was also the U.S attacking people for territory that didn't want to be a part of the country. The same thing that happened with Hawaii. Also it has nothing to do with national security. That was too long ago and there's no government or army for it or even groups as a whole. They aren't a part of a group that has any sort of militia or terrorism. Its the idea of a dead country. It's like tibet at this point.
