@jaydonsimmons2599 I just care about solutions. Anything that works. In this case, the Australian response.
2
@juliemunoz2762 according to some manager interviewed, it was around a year. I found a job listing in the area that was around 23k-26k a year, so you might be right that it's more like 300-something pretax. depending on how much he worked. Or was allowed to at that age. Part time is anything under 40 or so. Texas might not have any limitations for 16-17 year olds. So if the kid really wanted, he probably could get 4 days a week.
2
@YourXellency weird strategy. Stupid to me. But who knows if you'll have success with it. I don't wish it or anything.
2
@michaeljohnson6976 it's sad how propagandist try desperate strategies. Sad as in pathetic.
2
@Carl-Gauss it's not impressive. Its not impressive that a massive army from a much larger country, with a much more massive gdp, is struggling. And that's great because they are A-holes. What's impressive is the Ukranian defense, against that superior foe.
2
It wouldn't matter. There's something sick in the heads of people like you that try to justify killing and people's lives like that.
2
I what am I projecting exactly? That doesn't make sense. Don't use what you don't understand. Stop defending, stop making excuses. She's dangerously wrong here. Whether it's stupidity, naivete, or calculated to make right wingers who flirt or are white nationalists feel better, doesn't change how wrong she is.
2
@lijiang5600 it's very unusual to have the army or any force open fire on civilians. Don't think it's normal in non authoritarian countries. And to that magnitude. The magnitude itself is crazy. And remember these people just wanted reforms.
2
台灣屬於中國台灣人即是中國人 it's very well known. And it doesn't even come close. For one, few died. And it was a mayor or governor using a national guard. It wasn't erased. And it changed the US because they took time to reflect.
2
@lijiang5600 there's nothing ridiculous about his story. I don't get why you're trying to downplay the severity of it. It's severe.
2
@xyzl5239 the entire group wouldn't be targeted with live ammo, no. They wouldn't be shot at indiscriminately. Not without repercussion. Like the government did that to you, to citizens.
2
@BabaYaga826 authoritarians always confuse economic success with humanitarian and rights issues. What you're saying is you're willing and allowing the government to sacrifice whoever for some economic success. I just don't get that. I doubt what you're saying is correct anyway.
2
@lijiang5600 people didn't have to be massacred. And moved on isn't the issue. Maybe they shouldn't have moved on. The issue is how they moved on. Maybe they won't do it again. Or they found ways to break people. That's hardly better. And they swept everything under the rug. these are two horrible ways of moving on.
2
@darkerknight8912 yea it's telling that it's a historic event that still resonates with modern times.
2
@darkerknight8912 or Alternatively, you've grown up cultivated in the system that killed your fellows and tried to remove, and minimize and justify this type of action.
2
@sickofliberals9403 it's without war. With a good neighbor that respects the U.S.
2
@arty5876 BS. All countries condemn what's happening in Palestine regardless of the U.S. they all condemn the sanctions of Cuba regardless of the U.S.
2
Well he's being a realist. It would be difficult as hell to get Crimea if they could stop the fighting. And it'll take decades to rebuilt and built up to that level. Best case scenario is that Russia quits. And Ukraine is moved upto to NATO. And goes through rapid development. That would still be like two decades before they'd be able to stand against Russia. And that's if Russia slides down further. Which I think could happen. Russia looks like it's on a downward slide. Crimea will probably be Russian by the time Ukraine could really fight for it. Alternatively, various countries could sponsor a group within Crimea. Arm resistance for awhile. This is close to terrorism, though it isn't if it's just an indepedence movement. A third possibility is that Russia, in a waning state, gives crimea back. Or Crimeans themselves want to go back if Russia continues towards sliding further down either economically or fascistically.
2
@posford They've killed innocent people before. The reason could be many. A rogue agent. An agent with a mission. Some want to say they mistook her, which is still a rogue killing as she wasn't their target. Meaning they just decided to kill someone. Could be a disregard for Palestinian life. Or a disregard for a journalist, or a Palestinian looking journalist. Or a targeted journalist(as it's possible they knew she was there. Or just targeting pro Palestinian journalist, either because they knew it was her, or because they assumed she was Palestinian). Everyone on the ground has found it was the Israeli side because they had the vantage point. And Hamas has even less reason to do it. That includes foreign press. Literally only Israel is saying otherwise. Which could potentially be to cover up that they killed a journalist. They are either lying or wishful thinking. If it is targeted, they eliminate a journalist that they dislike. Potentially scaring other journalists. Alternatively, it'a a rogue agent, and it showcases how little disregard or hatred they have for Palestinian life, or freedom of the press. It is insane that Israel is considered free.
2
@posford also people on the ground reported that fire had stopped when she was shot. Which is why people think it was a sniper. Though I'm not saying it's definitively a sniper.
2
@northernjersey2479 PA doesn't use digital things. You don't know what you're talking about.
2
MS*. Again they are not even ethnically mexican. Amd are american. And they exist regardless of legal or illegal immigration...
2
@josephshields2922 they are not predominantly Russian. They did not want to be part of Russia. What happened was that militants took over illegally.
2
@Jakeisks yea I no longer believe you are an American to be this propagandized. Unless you're a left over Russia agent, this is ridiculous.
2
@oppressedsnail75 hypocrisy has nothing to do with whatever nonsense you wrote. And this is the god helicopter story in action. Christianity has always advocated for medicine as a way to help people. You're turning the religion into a cult of death. And these anti vax people would all go to the hospital if they got sick.
2
@oppressedsnail75 what does this nonsense even mean. No one would have even thought to connect the vaccine with religion except crazy people like you. Every time someone takes an Advil isn't a time for some religious crisis of faith.
2
@RRRR0707 that hasn't happened. And wasn't going to happen. There are already nukes that can reach Moscow anyway. There's already NATO countries bordering Russia. It's all BS on Russia's part.
2
carlo bonidio but you already tarnished the police. Calling a citizen human trash and acting like his life was worthless. You've already failed at your job man. Go retire.
2
@redacted428 no it's not. It's very implausible.
2
@OmniSlayer- That doesn't solve the issue. It's too dangerous. It's a shame but they ruined it and there's nothing you can do about it. Let people committ mass shootings cause you like to have fun isn't a good argument here.
2
Social Libertarian we can prove that they shot at people who weren't attacking them.
2
@darthtechnologies553 I didn't say anything about it being singles, or pairs, or any number. And I haven't seen or found stats on it, and I only talked about stuff I've seen stats on. Two seems like you'd be able to handle it with a handgun but that wasn't the point. My point was that neither would risk their life. Most prevention isn't a gun but visual factors before they're ever inside. And your safety is most guaranteed by just an extra lock(anyplace you can lock behind) and calling the police. Most would run, and not risk their lives. And most wouldn't want you there. You're increasing the danger of the situation by engaging.
2
@gwolf6975 the cop wasn't disrespected. And the cop was disrespectful. No one has to give that information he was asking. And the dude hadn't committed a crime. There wasn't even a report of a crime to be suspicious of.
2
@christopherfowler9777 he was a major load
2
@germibestia it's an alliance. Its not conquering if people join. They can't dictate countries. The countries are still sovereign. Only Russia is trying to conquer.
2
@subhankarbaral9236 but it's led to the Russians suffering, having limited freedoms, and Russia being an invader.
2
@xjunkxyrdxdog89 no they aren't. People are often powerless against their government.
2
@ratbatnufftime2861 I don't think Ukraine will be a military juggernaut. But hopefully it can make strategic alliances enough to make Russia not attack before they can join NATO.
2
@يوسفالقرعان-ب3ج Russia thought they'd win easily. Because Ukraine is not a rich country, and Russia is much bigger, with a bigger military. They didn't count on tenacity. And people caring.
2
Who knows what innocent people were there that might have died for no reason as well.
2
@troyevitt2437 I'm glad you want police reform. And I'm not saying police need it because they're evil. My uncle was a cop. I think this can be improvement, and it'll be better for everyone(for the cops themselves, and society as a whole). I think the only place we differ is that since cops are dealing with civilians, and we need to keep civilians safe and with dignity, cops can't or shouldn't treat people like bad guys until proven otherwise. That's an attitude problem some cops have. If you look at the full body cam video, I don't think this cop was right, but he later talks to another cop that is so much worst with his attitude. Or look at this video I just got rec: https://youtu.be/t4RSpq9eq0c It's not just about punishing cops. But changing it. punishment is for people that refuse and for accountability. What I'd want is for this to not be an issue in the first place.
2
@popkinson Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus This intimidation of world destruction is clearly a Russian tactic to let them do whatever they want.
2
So stupid. Public opposition is a protest tactic. Publically and vocally opposing something calls attention to it.
1
At first I thought he was going to say deep fakes. That clone thing was such a step up
1
@rodrigoescalante5456 they win every step of the way. Not getting toppled is a victory. Russia went to their capital to despose their government. The entirety of Ukraine was at risk of getting absorbed by Russia. They managed to hold and push back.
1
@ytgfy You guys are so funny. In a pathetic sort of way
1
Maxim the two things aren't related because Russia had already invaded Crimea. And the situation Russia created in the donbas is separate. Ukraine was following it more than Russia or it's proxies according to everyone. Even Russia, it's issue, aside from pretending it wasn't party to them and accusing Ukraine. Was which part to implement next, while it's proxies didn't implement any.
1
@lockbert99 that's a lot of BS and I can't read all of it as I'm allergic to lies. But Putin thought he could topple Ukraine, and failed. Putin doesn't want to negotiate. Taking land isn't negotiating. It's just taking. Ukraine was following minsk and no one else was. And Ukraine fought a war Russia put in it's territory(with Russian weapons and soldiers). It didn't bomb people just cause or because of whatever language. That's BS. Those people could have spoken whatever language they wanted and did. Russia is incredibly untrustworthy. The fact it invaded was already going back on it's word to respect Ukraine sovereignty. No revolution of any kind would change that. The fact it didn't try to make it's proxies follow the Minsk or stop giving them weapons. And of course, all it's fake referendums.
1
@lockbert99 After stealing some of their country and arming terrorists to destabilize a region. Heh how can you say your script Heh you're too funny. I feel bad for Russian bots. Like knowing you're saying crap that makes zero sense.
1
He had no right to arrest him. Police don't have the authority to tell you what to do if you haven't committed a crime. Dude should have just walked with him. The police in the U.S don't know how to ask, when they don't have authority. They can't lower themselves to plead.
