Replacing 5 people with 30 seems like government efficiency in practice.

People voted for this mayor because they thought he would be better to people on the south side because he lives there. Doesn’t seem like it worked out for them.

I had an Uber driver who was a Milwaukee cop once, it was the most enlightening ride i ever had. The guy was so incredibly genuine, told me not to bother tipping because he wasn't doing it for the money and he knew i was dropping a lot for car repairs. I asked him why he was doing it and he said "after 20 years on the job, i just need to see there are still good people out there. I deal with the same crappy crazy people every day, i try and try and try to help, but they never listen. When one of them dies or gets seriously injured or arrested i feel like I've failed them, and something always happens to them. I just want to know there are good people, and that there is a difference i can make to people's lives, even if it's just a cheap ride home when they're drunk, or helping them get groceries".

A successful black man at the height of segregation and racism during the 20th century, wonder why we haven't heard of him. Thanks for covering him, these are the people that should be talked about, not just MLK and Rosa Parks.

Lesson if the week: if someone points a gun at you...for any reason...don't reach for it.

I would adore to see a debate between him and Trump. Like my life would be made.

Destiny has been defending Kyle's right not to be lynch mobbed since the beginning. The defense should have played their debate because the only thing Vaush could argue was Kyle should have submitted to the mob.

I've been a life long atheist/agnostic. When I was younger I cared about this. Now i actually work with a lot of churches for charity because the message doesn't matter only the good that it can do. This i feel like is a group for edgy teens and parents who grew up religious and want to get back at their parents for whatever reason.

The innocence project seems to throw the most work into the most guilty while ignoring the guy convicted of having rust in his car that was mistaken for blood.

I have panic attacks and can't wear a mask for more than about 5 minutes. I was kicked out of places and demonized, followed around in stores and yelled at by people like Ana. The fact i had a medical condition that caused me to hyperventilate didn't seem to matter when i couldn't get food.

You didn't even touch of a fail ad campaign they had (dancing in the streets obstructing traffic). I'm very impressed you took the high road.

Im just sad RBG isn't here to vote in favor of overturning it. She had said it was unconstitutional. Those REEEEs would have been epic.

Next time Sean is on Sydney and Elijah's show I'm going to ask about the strangler case.

Remember the Trump supporter who was killed by "security" in Denver? That guy wasnt even charged, they said it was self defense, despite it being an unarmed guy and the "security" wasn't even involved in the argument.

Tim Pool had an interview with a girl from South Africa who was very privileged. She said it was incredibly safe and didn't understand the concern about the farmer killings. She also wouldn't drive because she had been car jacked 3 times. She blamed herself because "They just don't have anything". Think we heard this before from some white people in south Minneapolis

Moana is pretty awesome just sayin'.

Our city planning committee was filled with real estate agents who were getting exclusive deals to build multifamily buildings. They were redistricting everything to the point where single family homes couldn’t even be built in most of the city. This was in 2006-2007 and no one ended up buying the buildings because of the housing crash. It ended up losing the homes in the area that suddenly became full of cheap multifamily homes that were empty loosing about 10k-50k value each. It ended up being a big lawsuit/settlement that ended up in those neighborhoods getting about 10k to improve their homes to make up for the lost value and all those real estate agents losing their jobs. They even sold out the entire river side park that was beloved by locals to a large apartment complex again in 2008. Luckily it ended up taking 10 years to build because of the collapse but now the riverfront parks that had millions invested them are gone, and entire historic down town has their view of the river (and usually the building parking lots were torn up) for cheap condos built right on a river that floods regularly.

I was in a sorority that was very anti-hazing, the other sororities at our school had some pretty nasty ones (sleeping with a guy from their allied fraternity). I wouldn't say we had a weaker bond than the other sororities, but there probably was lower retention - but much less resentment/backstabbing.

I only watched the first 45 min - did this ever become about what Biden has done right for the country or did it stay “was trump a bad person?”

Had Elijah read the question and not Sydney this would never had blown up.

When I lived in milwaukee you’d see stolen cars all the time. People would grind down the license plates, take them off or paint them. One of my nurses had her car stolen 12 times in 6 months. Every time she knew who did it but cops had a catch and release until they were 18 so it was just a game. Also it’s the only place I’ve been where you see car accidents that are both side hit and run all the time. Nobody sticks around after an accident because half the time it ends in a shoot out.

Yeah Sean...what about that blood oath I made to you! 😭

I think anyone who lies on their Tinder profile has it coming for them. I mean what sicko would say they're 6foot when they're only 5'11"?
38
I remember listening to the podcast after so many recommended it. I love true crime podcasts and it was well produced and told, but even with it being selectively edited to be in his favor i still wasn't convinced. Thanks for making me feel less crazy.

An Asian coworker of mine also talked about how proud she was to follow in the footsteps of MLK and how her daughter won an award for being black (Indian). She also mentioned the 5 different black only groups my work promotes and excludes white people from and how they really are the only ones doing anything for anyone. But it’s not racist.

I lived in Milwaukee at the time of the polar vortex...to understand how cold it was...there was perfectly clear air. No smoke...no pollution....no water in the air, think when you're in a plane and how clear the air gets because it's freezing. The air is so dry it's difficult to breath.

When they have the name for the spontaneous interrupting civil rights lawyer before they figure out the name of the Chief of Police shows this was staged.

My brother in law is looking at moving to Sweden because Roe was overturned. Can't wait for him to realize it's more strict there than even red states in the US, and he won't be able to keep his guns.
32
Perpetual punishment isn’t worth it. Chick-fil-a has backed off on some of their more Christian stances (although it isn’t really super Christian), it hasn’t changed their underlying stance because it has no reason to. If they did bend the knee and there isn’t a benefit because they’ll still be banned.

There is a lot of that that comes out in Law and Crime chat. Often with no evidence wild theories come up that the chat talks itself into believing must be true. The Zachariah Anderson case had no DNA evidence (well one possible blood spot in his truck that had male DNA that couldn’t be ruled out it was the victim - or Zachariah Anderson) and the jury convicted. I assume the jury didn’t understand “could have been his DNA or the victims” didn’t mean “was the victims”.
28
Yes. But it’s usually racially or socially motivated. But yes, legitimately innocent people have been freed.

“Trump collapses down while golfing”
27
@GalironRunner to be fair most TYT viewers haven’t read the constitution.
26
@MichaelMiller-xj1ti especially when many tribes were given goods and medicine in exchange for "their land". Most tribal lands are still very close to where they originally were (just smaller) and my god do they have power on those mini-countries. The only people complaining are those who don't belong to a casino tribe. I've never heard the natives who do complain driving around in their Jaguar.
23
I love that Sasha Baron Cohen pulled the opposite stunt with Rudy Giuliani (framing it that he was pulling down his pants) and ended up really hurting his career. Amazing how it goes one way.
22
BLM: Stop community policing! People shouldn't have the right to defend their own community! Support the police! Imprison more people for life! He was 17 he should rot in jail! My what a change 2021 has been.
22
I grew up in a small town out side the twin cities. There wasn’t a murder for 30+ years until there was a double murder in broad daylight on Main Street (drug related immediately arrested). Within 5 years murders are pretty common there. I don’t even want to think about what the town is like now 15 years later. It was a town where you knew all the cops, knew the cops kids, everyone was friendly, very sad to lose my town. (Not Goodhue by the way).
22
@jamesrumsey if only there was a politician who would donate their salary to help fund government budget short falls - oh wait, one did that and they called him evil.
21
It would certainly bring costs down if they are on the hook for loans that they give out.
21
Who would have seen this coming? A bunch of special interest groups being promised everything they want despite their goals being in opposition. Next will be the gay/trans vs Muslim debate.
21
$3 worth of Doritos is like a handful of chips in New York. They only needed to destroy like 10 bags for it to be serious damage lol
21
The reason the law didn't go into effect until July 1 is because that's when all new VA laws go into effect. Judges actually get trained on them in May so they have time to acknowledge and understand the law. That's why the AH judge was gone for a week.
20
This is like Sean saying the car had frame damage when he really just couldn’t afford it. And it happened Jan 2.
19
Or cheap birth control methods that are widely available.
19
Hard to say being closed on Sunday is just religious. Yes they do it for religious reasons, it could be argued that it’s done for other reasons if non-Christian founded companies do it as well.
19
Many places have social workers who will go out with police to help de escalate situations - they often are shot first because people get annoyed with them.
18
Notice how much alcohol there was?
18
So it was even worse than what Sean represented. Oof
18
Here we see the white liberal in a decisive situation - their first encounter with someone who's skin color is different than their own.

When I lived in Milwaukee and car theft was so common there was a 50/50 if you got in an accident that the other car would flee, probably a 25% that both cars would flee. There were usually half a dozen cars you’d see on the highway even for a short sprint that would have no plates and disappear the moment a cop got on the road. We saw at least 1 crash a year that were obviously stolen cars involved most were hit and runs. My nurse had her car stolen 8 times in a year. She knew who was doing it, it was her kids friends but they got 0 punishment and cops usually didn’t bother with it.
