  9. mining maniac The slowest 406 Coupé is the old 2.0, which does 0-60 in at most 11 seconds. Furthermore, the 406 is a unique, currently rather unappreciated combo of practicality, reliability (believe it or not) and beautiful, Italian styling, for an affordable price. It's not necissarily ground-breaking, but it is timeless.

Anyways, Fiat isn't that good, and putting the name of Lancia on Chryslers is blasphemy, but they're better than American cars. Also, nowadays, they don't fall apart as much as they used to.

  22. Came here after watching old Top Gear's reviews of the Pagani Huayra, the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante and the absolutely gorgeous Aston Martin V12 Vantage film. Really puts this into perspective, and that is not a good thing for new TG.

  23. yaseenshuja1 Of course a Toyota Previa with a massive turbo is also fast and much more practical. But do you really want to drive around in a tuned people carrier? The RS6 is just the best all-rounder in the world. It's for people who need a family car but want to drive something special. Also, it's very difficult to tell the visual difference between a normal A6 and an RS6, making unleashing its 580 bhp all the more hilarious.

Sure, they look nice, but do you really want to sacrifice handling, fuel economy, speed, running costs and even practicality (compared to an estate), yet pay much more, just because it looks slightly better? The X1 and Q3 are just the worst examples, alongside the Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008. Firemarioflower Regardless of whether the X3 has a soul or not, it's incredibly uncomfortable and very, very ugly, yet more expensive and less practical than the equivalent 5-Series, which has even better handling.

  25. Firemarioflower That's a good thing. Sadly, there are people who can't that. Take for instance, the Islamic State. Or, closer to home (for me, at least), the strict, reformed Christians that make up about 50% of my population's town. They can be quite intolerant, unfortunately.

He repeatedly called the Range Rover 'the most unreliable car in the world', and mocked his own country many times. Examples include the Alfa Romeo 166 review (you should look it up) and the India Special, where he mockingly called the smoke coming out of a Hindustan Ambassador 'the smell of Britain in the fifties'

  40. andyouf Fair enough. And I like all five of the cars you mentioned, but two of them specifically are my favourites. I hate it when car entheusiasts get mad at others for liking a different type of car. They say there are three types of car entheusiasts: European exotics fans, JDM fans and muscle car fans. They forget there's a fourth type; people who like or at least respect all three, even if they like one more than the others.

  44. Phil Perry The Range Rover is outstanding for being such a great combination of luxury and off-road capabilities. You are one of the few people who doesn't like Jaguar better after it was sold to the Indians. Aside from that, they're outstanding design-wise (and, in case of the R versions, they're just brutal). Although it was a failure, the Concorde is definitely outstanding, being the first and currently only(right?) passenger plane to be faster than the speed of sound. If that's not outstanding, I don't know what is.

You Americans simply sent troops to Europe, where all the battling took place, while your own country hardly suffered thanks to being seperated from Germany by oceans.
